Prayer Journals

I have been making some Prayer Journals for the young adults that are confirmed in my church for the past couple years.  This year there is only two and I finally decided to make an extra one so I had a sample for myself!
I covered some cardboard that comes with the Specialty papers with the Autumn Spice Specialty paper by wrapping it around the front and then adding another piece to cover the seams on the inside.
Each page has something on it - a prayer, quote, Bible verse, stamped saying or image, but I left a lot of open space for them to add their thoughts, prayers, favorite verses, etc.  The theme this year was inspired by project on Create with Connie and Mary Holiday edition.

In the decorating, I also used the Tasteful Trim Bigz XL Die.

Beautiful Girl

I am so glad I make extra layouts for myself when I have Stamp Club, it makes putting together pages such a quick process!  These we did quite awhile ago using the Bella Bleu Designer Series paper.

I added some homemade buttons and a lot of Basic Pearls to the original layout and did the journalling and title with My Digital Studio.

Noel with buttons

I had some decor elements left over from last year that I wanted to make some projects with.  I used the word Noel on this glass candle holder and added a candle and surrounded it with Candy Cane Big Designer Buttons.
Here is what the inside looks like.

More pink projects!

In keeping with the pink (Breast Cancer Awareness) theme on Late Night Stampers, here are a couple more projects.

I filled the test tube with pink Nerds to make this quick gift.  The stamp set is Afterthoughts.
I had some of this Designer paper left over from last year and thought it would work great.  I used the With all my heart stamp set on this one.

Just for You

This is a really simple card I made for Mary Jo's sketch this week.  I used So Saffron, Sahara Sand, Old Olive and Whisper white card stock.

The stamp set is Just Believe and I added an antique brad and the White organza ribbon.  The Perfect Polka Dots impressions folder added the texture to the Sahara Sand and Old Olive card stock.

Tea for Two

This page is again done with My Digital Studio and is the page I made for a sketch challenge on Soul Scrappers this week.  The circles are just antique brads that I enlarged.

Season's Greetings

I was playing with my Impressions folders hoping to get a quilted effect on my papers for these two cards.  I used the To You & Yours and Dasher stamp sets on these two.

The two tags die is so much fun to use on cards, I just love incorporating it and of course my favorite Basic Pearls :)
The Deck the Halls Big Designer Buttons are such a nice addition to a card or scrapbook page, I ran some hemp twine through this one before I attached it.  The Designer Paper I used on the Dasher card is Jolly Holiday.

Pink birthday

At Late Night Stampers this week, we are creating cards and projects with the color pink for Breast Cancer Awareness.
I used the Sweet and Sour Specialty paper and the Upsy Daisy stamp set for this one.  The inks are Melon Mambo and Pretty in Pink.

Presto technique

Another challenge technique on Soul Scrappers using our Specialty papers that are embossed and adding color and stamping to them.  I used the retired Bride paper for this, but the Presto Patterns specialty paper will give you the same effect.
You sponge color on the specialty paper and them stamp over the top.  I used Marina Mist, Basic Gray and retired Kiwi Kiss as my colors and the stamp set is Extreme Elements.

A close up of the technique on this page.

Non traditional Christmas colors

I used some non traditional colors for the Christmas card that I made using the Diva Coffee Break Design sketch this week.  It was a wonderful surprise to visit their blog and see I was one of the Featured Stampers!  Thanks ladies :)

Dreams

Just Add Ink has a color challenge this week and I decided to use the Tie Die technique on this card.
The colors are Blushing Bride, Pear Pizazz, Bashful Blue and Sahara Sand.

Antique brads
sponges
Square Lattice impressions folder
curly label punch

Quick Get Well gift

My dad is in the hospital this week and I wanted to bring him a little something more than a card when we went to visit.  I had purchased these cute little jars a long time ago and just had them sitting in the future projects pile.

I decorated it with the Autumn Spice specialty paper, waffle paper, Big designer button, hemp twine, 1 1/4 inch Old Olive grosgrain striped ribbon and the Word play stamp set.

Of course I didn't leave it empty, we filled it with fall colored M & M's that we picked up on the way to see him.

CCMCHM4

Create with Connie and Mary Holiday edition has their challenge up for the week and it is to use the colors from the Deck the Halls Designer series paper and to make a one of a kind card for a special person.
This is what I came up with and I even used glitter - not something I use often at all because I don't like the mess :)
I used the Peaceful Season stamp set (hostess level 2 in mini catalog) on both the outside and inside.  Lately, I have been experimenting more with the waffle paper too and really like that it is so easy to work with.

A morning without coffee...

Here is another sample using the Morning Cup stamp set.  The base is Blushing Bride and I added a strip of the same color over the top after I used the Perfect Polka Dots Impressions folder on it to add a little texture.
The brads are from the vintage trinkets package.
I really love the saying :)

Clear Block stamping

I have a Technique challenge up on Soul Scrappers right now and I chose the clear block stamping this time.  To make the blocked image a little bit distressed, I just didn't completely cover the block with ink.

Batty for you

This is another square card for our challenge on Late Night Stampers this week.  I use the Batty Jumbo wheel (retured) and cut up the saying.  The colors are Whisper White, Early Espresso, Bravo Burgundy and Pumpkin Pie.  I also used the Spider Web impressions folder and added Early Espresso ink directly from the pad to enhance the image.
Here is a picture of the inside and the other side of the envelope.  I used the Wicked Cool stamp set and the scallop edge punch to finish the card off.

Pumpkin Poop

This year my 1st grader is going to take a pile of Pumpkin Poop to share with his classmates for Halloween :)  I have seen these so many places and I thought I would use the Rectangular Glassine bags that were on the Clearance Rack for these treats.  I ran them through the Perfect Polka Dots impressions folder before filling them up with the "poop" (candy corn).  Then I used the Autumn Harvest stamp set and scallop circle punch to make a quick and easy treat.

Dasher

On this card, I used the Northern Flurry impressions folder and the Deck the Halls Designer series paper matching it with the Dasher and Seasonal Sentiments stamp sets.  There is the new glass glitter on the antlers as well.

Blueberry Crisp

It was a Blueberry Crisp kind of morning today :)  The card is my take on Mary Jo's sketch for the week.
I added the strips of Designer paper to my card base and then ran it through the Big Shot with the Vintage Wallpaper impressions folder.  Then I added my layer and attached the pearls.

Chick'N Scratch Sketches has a sketch this week too and I used the same color combination and papers for that.

Nerd treats

I found the pattern for these easy boxes from Dianna Carr and thought they would be fun for the 3rd graders this year.  I used Basic Black card stock and Wicked Cool Designer Series paper.  The stamp set is Wicked Cool.
Funky Friday Craft challenges has a Halloween theme this week so I thought I would used this as my project for that too!

It doesn't show up as well in the picture, but earlier in the year I found these napkins on clearance at the "m" store and they match the Wicked Cool Designer series paper colors so I had to add them to the pictures.

Square cards

Normally, I don't make too many square cards, but our challenge this week for Late Night Stampers is - Square cards so here are a couple I made.
Even though this stamp set is retired, I just love it!
Supplies:
Heartfelt thanks stamp set
Perfect Plum, Crumb Cake and Whisper White card stock
vintage trinkets brads
spiral punch
Perfect Plum, Pale Plum, Mellow Moss classic inks
Square lattice impressions folder

This one is just for adding to a gift bag, it is 3 x  3 and I used the Birthday Bakery hostess set for it along with the tag punches and hemp twine.

Color challenge page

I used this page for a color challege on Soul Scrappers that was for a dark brown, Baja Breeze and Very Vanilla - I used Soft Suede and also the Early Espresso waffle paper.  This was my first attemp with the waffle paper and I have to say I like the effect it gave this page.
I also used Word Play, basic pearls, Deck the Halls and Candy Cane Big designer buttons, Victoria crochet trim ribbon and Elegant Soiree Designer series paper.

Little Mommy

This is a fall themed page I made for a challenge on Soul Scrappers.  I used the Autumn Spice Specialty paper and the Day of Gratitude stamp set.
To make the ribbon pop up a little, I used dimensionals under both ends.

Deck the Halls CCMCHM3

Create with Connie and Mary Holiday Edition had a theme challenge - hostess gifts so I thought I would open up my Deck the Halls fabric and put something together.  I used Deck the Halls fabric, designer series paper and Big designer buttons as well as Cherry Cobbler, Always Artichoke, Very Vanilla and Crumb Cake card stocks.  I accessorized with the basic pearls, Victoria crochet trim ribbon and vintage trinkets.
The stamp set is Peaceful Season and I used a retired on for a sentiment on one of the cards as well.
