Tin purse

I am going to work on projects with a Girl Scouts group tonight and I thought they might like to make these projects. Since our time is limited, I did most of the prep work for them, but hopefully they will have fun with these.

The tins were on our Clearance rack last fall and I used the crop-o-dile to make holes to add the ribbon so it can be a little purse.  There will be a book mark and a little note pad to put inside that matches.

For this sample, I used the Celebrations Designer Series paper, Grunge Rock and Friends Rock stamp sets along with the Top Note and Two Tags dies.  There will be another version with the retired Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Series paper as well.

Clear Case card holder

I just love all the ways you can use these clear cases that hold our clear mount stamps.  I used this one to put cards and envelopes in as a gift and added a couple pockets on the inside.  One thing I learned though is not to put too many embellishments on the cards or you can't fit too many inside :)

I used the Springtime Vintage Designer Series paper and fabric as well as some impressions folders - Framed Tulips and Vintage Wallpaper when I decorated and added a butterfly from the Beautiful Butterflies die and some basic pearls.

Stylish Blogger Award

A few days ago (well a little more than a few days, actually) I was honored to be given the stylish blogger award from 3 different people. Rebecca and Christy and Chanda - Thanks so much ladies, I am truly honored!
In accepting this award I need to do the following:

1.Thank the person/persons that shared this award with me and link it back to their blog/blogs.

2.Share eight things about myself.

3.Pass this award onto eight other bloggers that I have recently discovered.

4.Leave a comment so they can pass along the recognition!

Eight Things about me:

1. I love to stamp and scrapbook and work on projects with my kids.
2. I am a farmer (seed potatoes, wheat and soybeans).
3. I enjoy the challenge of being on the Late Night Stampers and Soul Scrappers design teams and am honored to be designing for both of those as well as UStamp with Dawn and Friends!
4. I have been a demonstrator for 5 years and it has been awesome.
5. My piano has been neglected since my kids were born.
6. My Digital Studio is fabulous for catching up on scrapbooking (now if I just printed those pages, LOL)!
7. I have only scrap booked for about 3 years so I have a long way to go back!
8. I am a big NASCAR fan - Go Dale, Jr.!

I'd like to pass on this award to the following blogs
1. Lisa Olson

Some Regional Make and Takes

These are some of the fun make and takes we did at Regionals in Minneapolis.  The stamp set is Nature Walk and can be found in the Occassions Mini catalog and many of the projects also use the Botanical Gazette designer series paper.

Something More

This is my submission for the second week of Glee Club on Soul Scrappers.  Our challenge this time around is Alternative music, specifically using one of a few titles from Train.

The page was done with My Digital Studio and I used several layers of overlays.

Scavenger Hunt for UStamp with Dawn and Friends Oh My Word Edition

I am excited that as one of the designers of UStamp with Dawn and Friends Oh My Word Edition! I am able to be a part of THE scavenger hunt!   Make sure to read to the bottom to find your "key word" in THE post.

My project for you uses a great Sale-a-bration stamp set called Punch Bunch.  THE cards are quick and easy to make! They can be easily changed up for a boy or girl as you can see from THE samples below.   I added some of THE safety pins from Vintage Trinkets to ribbon on THE side and hemp twine to THE tags.

Did you find THE key word?  Good luck!

Baby mini album

This is another great project that can be found on UStamp with Dawn and Friends YEBO 2010.  The creator of this accordian album is Danielle Daws, I changed the pages and added a box, but it is a super easy and fun little album.

I used some retired Designer Series paper that can be found on the Clearance Rack

There are two pockets in the middle of the album that have inserts for journaling or more photos.

On the front of the album I used a hostess level 1 set from the Occasions Mini catalog - A Slice of Life, and also a Sale-a-bration stamp set called Punch Bunch.

A CASE of Bliss

This card was one I received from Shelly Meneley at the Minneapolis Regional in a swap.  I love this Sale-a-bration set and wanted to recreate it with a few slight changes.
So, this is what I did for mine.  I used Marina Mist and Basic Black as my base and just changed the embellishment to a vintage trinket.  Very quick and easy to make!  The Designer Series paper is Newsprint and the impressions folder is Framed Tulips.

Early Espresso, So Saffron, Old Olive and Pumpkin Pie classic ink

and just a quick sentiment on the inside from Bring on the Cake

Simple and masculine

Our Late Night Stampers challenge this week is for masculine cards.  This one is very simple and easy to put together using the Newsprint Designer Series paper and Bring on the Cake stamp set.

I sponged the edges slightly of the card stocks with Marina Mist and added a piece punched out with the dotted scallop ribbon border punch and some silver brads.
Card stocks:
Marina Mist, Very Vanilla and Basic Black
Basic Black classic ink

Happy Valentine's Day

Well, Valentine's Day has a little more meaning at our house than some others since it is also our anniversary.  13 years today :)
I decided to scrap a couple pictures from our wedding using some extra pages I had from my Stamp Club a few months back. There are a few extras added and I might have gone a little overboard with the pearls, LOL!

The stamp sets I used on this layout are Elements of Style, Filled with Love, Notes and Details and Word Play; the Designer Series paper is Love Letter and I used the Boho Blossoms punch and layered the pieces adding a pearl in the middle for some accents.  There are a couple of Vintage brads on the 1 1/4" striped Riding Hood Red Grosgrain ribbon as well.

Chocolate treats

I love these little jars to decorate for little gifts or door prizes.  This one uses some retired items along with the Love Impressions Specialty paper and the Filled with Love stamp set.

I just filled it up with some red M & M's to finish it off.
