Stamp Camp Projects

We had so much fun at our Stamp Camp last Saturday and I thought I would share the projects we created with you.

Sarah's card featured a 3d look with the ornament punch as well as some Big Shot pieces and textures.  She also made the little top note purses for our thank you gifts to those who came to stamp.

Lisa's project showed off the Spiece Cake designer series paper and fabric along with some Big Shot details.

I had the gift bag using Mocha Morning Specialty paper and also a card I cased from Mary Fish with a little glimmer and bling.

Paper bag gift card holder

Our challenge this week at Late Night Stampers is gift card holders.

This one is made from the little paper bags we had on the clearance rack (I see they are not gone).  The scalloped end is just cut off and then I folded it in half.

I decorated the front, added a sentiment in the inside and made a little base for the card to be attached to and added a little bit of ribbon to act as a handle.

These were VERY easy to make and I know the recipients will enjoy their contents :)

Beau Chateau Wreath

As I mentioned before, when you start making lollies, they get a little addicting :)  I made this wreath with the Beau chateau designer series paper and put the lollies on an inexpensive wreath.

The new Simply Scored tool is fabulous for making these, I highly recommend it :)
I used some neutrals and subtles buttons and 1 1/4" grosgrain ribbon in Pink Pirouette to finish it off.

Keepsake Box

I decorated one of our awesome Keepsake Boxes as part of one of the door prizes for our Stamp Camp today, but I didn't use the items that come with the package.  You will maybe remember this stamped image from some cards I have shown you that also use the faux mother of pearl technique.  I also used some Holly Berry Bouquet specialty paper, basic pearls and Victoria Crochet trim ribbon.

The button is from the Holly Berry Bouquet collection and the larger ribbon is 1 1/4" striped Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon.

These adorable boxes are still available for purchase while they last and include the supplies to make one like the picture below.  They are $19.95 and item number 129024.

TSSC201

I needed a sketch challenge to get some ideas going in my head again!  It has been a slow week for creating things, but hopefully this helped :)

This is Mary Jo's sketch for the week.  I flipped the two bars around behind the layers on my card.

The sentiment is from a retired stamp set and the image behind it is from the Elements of Style stamp set.  I used Crumb Cake and Early Espresso classic inks.

The papers are from the Brights Pattern Pack and I used some Brights glimmer brads as well.

Purple Christmas

Another non traditional Christmas colors sample for the Late Night Stampers.  This card is a CASE of one done by Dawn Griffith and I added the strip of Glimmer paper.  These cards were used as my make and take at our semi annual Stamping and Scrapbooking retreat at Park River Bible Camp last weekend.  For the retreat, I used Cherry Cobbler and Marina Mist, but for these cards I chose to use Perfect Plum and Wisteria Wonder.

The sentiment is from a retired stamp set and I used the snowflake punch and different buttons that I thought looked fun with the colors.

Creative Elements BFF

This week I am going to share some cards that I made at a retreat last weekend while I was trying to use up some of my scraps or pieces of card stock that I had already die cut or stamped.

The first one is inspired by one I found blog hopping and I have lost the person's name...if it is you please let me know so I can give you credit!!

I used some faux mother of pearl background (I made a bunch of pages of this so you will see more of this technique as it is one of my favorites) and the Creative elements and Best Friends Forever stamp sets.

I layered the flower with dimensionals and added a few pearls to the top layer.

Supplies:
Creative elements, Best Friends Forever
Peach Parfait, Pumpkin Pie, Very Vanilla and Crumb Cake card stock
Peach Parfait, Early Espresso and Crumb Cake classic ink
dimensionals
champagne shimmer paint
basic pearls
Vintage Wallpaper impressions folder

Best Friends Forever, Peaceful Season
Early Espresso, Pretty in Pink, Very Vanilla card stock
Early Espresso, Pretty in Pink, Blushing Bride classic ink
Early Espresso satin ribbon
basic pearls
Victoria Crochet trim ribbon

One side of the inside of the folder...

Season of Joy

This is the outside of a clear case album I am putting together for a Christmas gift.  I used the Christmas Lane Simply Scrappin' Kit and Season of Joy Stamp set.

I had to add a little bling with the basic rhinestones and some of the beautiful Cherry cobbler quilted satin ribbon as well.

Snowflake card

I was playing with My Digital Studio with some Christmas card ideas and here is one that fits the "snow" theme at Late Night Stampers this week.

This isn't actually our card, but I had fun playing with it anyway!

You're on my mind

I pulled out this stamp set because I haven't used it in awhile and decided to make a card for a friend.  The base is a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of Early Espresso and I added a folded layer of Old Olive on top that measured 5 1/4" X 8 1/4" before I folded it in half.

This is the inside...

Supplies:

Upsy Daisy
Early Espresso, Old Olive, Marina Mist, Whisper White card stock
Early Espresso, Old Olive, Marina Mist, Pear Pizazz, Bashful Blue classic inks and markers

Holiday Glimmer Wreath - UStamp with Dawn and Friends project

This is one of those projects that I LOVE the finished version, but really seemed to struggle with while I was creating it.  Once I got the hang of making those lollies though, I was hooked :)

This is my second project created for UStamp with Dawn and Friends Knock out Punches and also fits in with our Late Night Stampers theme of let it snow this week!

Come on over and join us for lots more punching fun!  http://www.ustampwithdawnandfriends.com/

Composition Books

Covered composition books were a big hit this week at my craft show and I was asked to make a couple customized ones.  This one is for a high school student going to Spain with their class and she will use it as her journal for the trip.

I used some Nautical Expedition designer series paper along with some Botanical Gazette dsp and added a couple hybrid elements using My Digital Studio since I didn't have the Senitmental Journey stamp set.  The Open Sea and Daring Adventure were also used for the book and I used Early Espresso and Crumb Cake inks.

I thought it would be fun to do a little distressing as well so I used the Early Espresso classic ink for that and embellished a little with Cherry Cobbler quilted ribbon and regals buttons.

Hope she likes it!

Some more shine!

Well, last week I completed Mary Jo's sketch challenge and didn't get it posted so this week I am one step ahead of that!

I used versamark on my embossing folder and then after I ran the Crumb Cake through it I used Black embossing powder and heated it up.  It didn't turn out quite the way I had hoped, but I will keep trying!!

Supplies:
Friendly phrases
Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Basic Black card stock
Holly Berry Bouquet specialty paper
Red Glimmer paper
Basic Black classic ink
versamark
black embossing powder
Vintage Wallpaper impressions folder
curly label punch
modern label punch
 rosette
rhinestone brads
sponge
5/8" red grosgrain ribbon
dimensionals

The oval of red glimmer paper is actually not a punch, it is the middle of the "O" left over from die cutting using the Serif Essentials alphabet die.

Glittery Gift Bag

I have another sample for our Late Night Stampers challenge this week of Let It Shine. The pictures were taken quickly as I packed for a craft show, but you will get the idea.

I used the silver glimmer paper and Holly Berry Bouquet specialty paper along with the snowflake punch, 2 1/2" circle punch and stocking builder punch.

The big shot came in for the boarder using the tasteful trim die and I also used the Perfect Polka Dots impressions folder on the circle. The stamp set used is called Gift Givers.
