Kindness matters

Today's card uses both a Sale-a-bration stamp set and the Sale-a-bration designer series paper.  (sorry the picture isn't quite straight!)

I used some scraps of the Everyday Enchantment DSP along with a scrap of Peach Parfait behind the layer of butterflies and embossed a layer of Pool Party with the Vintage Wallpaper impressions folder as the layer behind it.

The butterflies were stamped with Soft Suede ink and then I lightly added some
color with the blender pens.

A little bit of good

Our Late Night Stampers Challenge this week is to Go Green - use green in our cards, scrapbook pages, etc.    I used the Paisley Petals Designer Series paper along with Old Olive and Soft Suede.

For the ribbon, I had a piece that was too short to tie, left over from some other project so I twisted it and wrapped an antique brad around it before I poked the brad through the card stock.

Supplies:
Pursuit of Happiness, Simply Soft
Old Olive, Soft Suede and Very Vanilla card stock
Paisley Petals designer series paper
Pear Pizzazz and Soft Suede classic ink
Victoria crochet trim ribbon
antique brads
basic pearls

Supplies:
Hey Doily, Just Believe, Bring on the Cake

So Sweet

Today's card is made with a stamp set in the Occasions Mini catalog called Sweet Cake.  I chose some In colors for this project - Blushing Bride, Poppy Parade, Pear Pizzazz and Peach Parfait and paired them with Whisper White and Basic Black.

It is difficult to see in this picture, but I ran the Blushing Bride layer through the Big Shot using the Stripes impressions folder.  I cut out the cupcake base and frosting and popped them up with dimensionals and then added some Cherry Cobbler dazzling details to the cherry and heart.  Lucky Limeade and basic rhinestones were the finishing touches to the card.

Bordering on Romance

I have another sample using this week's Late Night Stampers challenge sketch although I altered the circle image in this one.

For the blue background, I cut a piece of Very Vanilla card stock and painted with some acrylic paint and let it dry.  Then I ran it through the Big Shot using the Vintage wallpaper impressions folder and sanded it down a little bit.

I used Bashful Blue, Wild Wasabi and Perfect Plum to color in my flower images.

Pink Adventures

I have another Daring Adventure card for you today, can you tell I love this set?  The colors I chose were Pretty in Pink, Soft Suede, Marina Mist and Whisper White.

Aren't those little clothespins adorable?  I also added some Marina Mist scallop dots ribbon to finish off the card.

Wisteria Fancy Flower

I pulled out another stamp set that has been on the shelf for awhile for this card - Flower Fancy.  First, I used a clear block and stamped some Pool Party ink on my Very Vanilla card stock and then I stamped my image and colored it in with markers.

The Wisteria Wonder background has been run through the Big Shot using the Stripes textured impressions folder and I finished the card with some pearls and Victoria ribbon.

100th day cupcakes

A few days before the 100th day at school, Maddie came home all excited and said, "Mom!  I asked my teacher if I could bring cupcakes on the 100th day of school and she said I could!"  Well, she forgot to ask me :)  but that is ok, at least it wasn't the next day!!

She is a big fan of sprinkles (as probably most kids are) so we made sure to use some of those and I added a little decoration I made using My Digital Studio, punches, a toothpick and crystal effects.  (The crystal effects held the card stock onto the toothpick)

Vintage Vogue

This is a stamp set that has been collecting dust for awhile and I am not really sure why so I dusted it off for our Late Night Stampers challenge of Girly Girl this week.

I added some labels collection framelits, large and basic pearls, ruffled Blushing Bride ribbon and Blushing Bride smooch spritz.

The colors used are: Very vanilla, Blushing Bride, Soft Suede, So Saffron, and Pool Party.  I added a little Attic Boutique designer series paper as well.

Fresh Vintage CASE

I cased this card from Maureen Merritt and used it as my second make and take card last weekend at my workshop.  It uses the rock and roll technique and the Fresh Vintage stamp set from Sale-a-bration.

The senitment is from the Just Believe stamp set and we added some basic pearls and a strip created with the scallop ribbon border punch.  The impressions folder we used on the bottom portion is the Square lattice.

With all my heart

I found a card similar to this on pinterest and used this as a workshop make and take this past weekend.  It uses the First Edition specialty paper, hearts embosslit and Adorning accents embossing folder.

We also used the 3/16" corner punch, eyelet border punch, and some linen thread to complete the card.

Ribbons and lace

Our Late Night Stampers challenge this week is Girly Girl projects so I thought I would start off with a ribbon, lace and pearl headband that I made for my daughter, Maddie.

All I used was 1 1/4" grosgrain ribbon, Victoria crochet trim ribbon, some 1" retired ribbon and large pearls.  To attach it all I used a glue gun and the base is just a cheap plastic headband.

another angle...

And on my model (against her bedroom wall that is painted in Groovy Guava - love that color)...

More Quick Pages

Here are a couple more quick layouts that I did with older pictures.  The designer series papers are retired 6 x 6 paper packs and I put them on without cutting them at all.

The titles are done with the simple alphabet and simple letters dies to finish these fast pages.

Funny Face

I have finally been working on some scrapbook layouts and this is one using a picture from a couple of years ago.  I used the Paisley Petals designer series paper and the simple alphabet dies for the Big Shot for my letters.

There are 1 3/4" scallops along the edge of the picture and I used my white gel pen to do some faux stitching along the outside and down the scallops.

Both the back and the front are decorated and hold pictures.
