Just For You

Another Artisan Award entry card today, this one using the Just Believe stamp set.  I started with Faux Mother of Pearl on the inside panel and the two pieces on the front with stamped images.  Before I stamped them, I added some Pear Pizzazz spritz and then stamped with Soft Suede.

For the background I used the Vintage wallpaper folder and then started sprizting with Silver smooch spritz and Vanilla shimmer smooch spritz that I added a few drops of Soft Suede reinker to; next, I added some Pear Pizzazz spritz.

Bunny Hugs

This is my first scrapbook page to share with you from the Artisan Award entries and it is a hybrid page using My Digital Studio.

I should have taken more pictures of it before I packed it up, but the base is Crumb Cake that was distressed with an ink pad directly on the card stock.  The next layer is from Berry Blossoms DSP and the a layer of Old Olive card stock with a stamp in the corner from Creative Elements.

The corner is folded over and I added some more DSP to it along with an embossed flower.

Thanks so much

Another Artisan Award contest entry using the Creative Elements stamp set and some homemade color spritz.

The flowers have 3 and 4 layers separated by dimensionals and were not colored in, but spritzed with a mixture of Regal Rose re-inker, alcohol and Champagne shimmer mist.

Live in the Sunshine...

This is a hybrid project that I entered for the Artisan Award contest.   The base is a piece of board covered with fabric.  The center was printed with My Digital Studio and then stamped and the scallop circles are made from the wood sheets and then stamped.

The whole thing was covered with Vanilla Shimmer smooch spritz after I put it together.

This one would have been fun to have back but maybe it will make one of the displays at convention.

Simply Wonderful

Our Late Night Stampers Challenge this week is to use paper piercing on our projects.  One of my non winning Artisan Award projects included that element so I thought I would share it today.

I pierced around the Peach Parfait and then added some white gel pen for a faux stitched look.

The Pool Party and Wisteria Wonder on the inside were embossed with the Stripes impressions folder.

The card uses a lot of little elements and texture, mostly made from scraps.

Chevron Circles

This is a fun and quick card made using the 2 1/2" and 1 3/4" circle punches and the Chevron folder.  The colors I chose were Certainly Celery, Marina Mist, Basic Gray and Whisper White and I used some Neutral and Soft Subtles buttons and also some retired ones I had on hand.

The sentiment is from Itty Bitty Banners.

The Fan Fair designer series paper is really starting to be my go to paper these days.  I love the designs in the card below that look like lace and thought the butterflies would look fun using it.

I plan to add a sentiment when I decide what I want to use the card for in the future.

Supplies:
Island Indigo, Pink Pirouette, Basic Gray card stock
Butterfly punch
Pink Pirouette taffeta ribbon

Forever and Always

With so many weddings and anniversaries this time of year, I have a card today and tomorrow in those themes for you.  Today's card is a quick and easy one until you add the pearls to the dots on the ribbon, that takes a little bit of time.

I wanted to use the scallop dots ribbon but since the dots are white and I was using vanilla, I thought this would be a fun way to alter it.

Supplies:
Loving Thoughts

Betsy's Blossoms

I left the sentiment off this card for now, but thought I would share it with you anyway.  Again, I am using the Naturals Composition specialty paper and I paired it with Very Vanilla, Midnight Muse, Primrose Petals, Raspberry Ripple and Gumball Green.

The background behind the flowers and stems is just a clear block dipped in Primrose Petals ink.

Father's Day

I found a printable with this poem on Pinterest and thought I would put together a quick little gift for Joe using the poem.  I typed it out and printed it using My Digital Studio and then added some card stock and Storytime designer series paper.

Behind the Basic Black card stock, I cut down a piece of cardboard that comes with most of the specialty papers and adhered it to make it stronger, then used another piece of it to help it stand up.

It was really quick and easy to make - no stamping or embellishments, just card stock and designer paper.

Textures

Embossing folders are some of my favorite tools to use for cards and we have a few new ones in the catalog that are larger than the ones we have previously had available.  The new size (6 3/8" x 4 1/4" is awesome for use on scrapbook pages as well as cards.

One difference with the larger folders is that they cannot go through the Big Shot sideways, but there are lots of ways around that and personally I do not use them that direction very often anyway.  If you have questions about how to adjust their use, e-mail me and I will be happy to help.

The first layer in these cards is one of the new In Colors called Primrose Petals and it coordinates well with Old Olive and Baja Breeze.  The top card uses the Argyle Folder and the bottom one uses the Chevron folder; they both have Perfect Polka Dots used for the Old Olive layer.

Supplies:
Bordering on Romance, Teeny Tiny Wishes, Thoughts and Prayers
Very Vanilla, Primrose Petals, Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, Marina Mist card stock

June Stamp Club projects

The cards we did for Stamp Club this month were cased from some I found on Pinterest and I just changed them up a little bit.

The layout uses the Floral District Designer Series paper and the oval accents die and apothecary accents framelits.

Last weekend I took the kids to the cabin and as I usually do, I took some things along to stamp for after they go to bed or if it is raining, etc.  This time when I packed, I only took scraps so I forced myself to make a dent in the pile that has accumulated!  These are a couple of cards that came out of the scrap pile.
