Snowflakes

The Late Night Stampers Challenge this week is Snowflakes and I thought I would do something other than a card this time.  I used a foam wreath that I found at Target in the dollar section and covered it with some retired Candy Cane Lane designer fabric.

Then I added some glimmer paper snowflakes, ribbon and buttons for a really quick and fun snowflake wreath.

The strips of fabric and all the other elements were added with pins - no adhesive at all on this one.

You can see the other design team projects here.

Feel Good and Blog Candy

This card includes some more sneak peek items from the Occasions Mini catalog.  I used the Feel Goods stamp set along with the Print Poetry Designer Series paper stack and Artisan Embellishments kit.

The embossing folder is the Lacy Brocade folder and will be carried over into the Occasions Mini catalog from the Holiday one.

The button is from the Artisan Embellishments Kit - I wish there were more of each item in this kit - love it!

On the inside I added a little strip of the same designer series paper for fun.

Blog Candy
We have reached 100,000 hits and I am going to take entries for Blog Candy until January 2nd.  What do you need to do to get entered?  Just comment on any post since this one and I will put you in the drawing!

For the Record and new Clearance Rack items

There is a Simply Scrappin' Layout kit in the upcoming mini catalog called For the Record.  I used it for these three scrapbook pages and have lots to spare, only adding a 12 x 12 piece of Old Olive card stock and a couple embellishments to what is in the kit.

Quick and easy pages - love it

The clearance rack has new items again make sure to check it out!!

Paper Strip Ornaments

Merry Christmas!  I hope you have a wonderful celebration with family and friends as well as safe travels this holiday season.

I have another sample to show you for our Late Night Stampers challenge of 3D ornaments and it is a CASE of one I found on Dawn Griffith's website (she has a great video that shows you how to make them too!)

I used the Be of Good Cheer designer series paper, linen thread, Delicate Doilies sizzlit, Champagne glimmer paper, Snow Flurry die, Vintage Faceted Designer Buttons and glue dots to make them.

They were VERY quick to put together and my 7 year old daughter told me I must have magic to have made them, LOL!

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given: and the government shall be on his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6

Joy at Christmas and Blog Candy

I thought I would share a digital Christmas card with you today, one day I will do this for the cards I send in the mail!  I used My Digital Studio and one of the newest digital downloads called A to Z Wood (the Joy and 2012).

The large basic pearls were recolored to Cherry Cobbler and I used the Medallion stamp behind the picture.  The banner and piece that backs the sentiment are punches called the flag punch and the background with the chevron pattern is an embellishment from the Days in December collection.

Blog Candy Alert!
I have been watching my visitor log the last few weeks planning to offer some Blog Candy when we reach 100,000 hits and we are so very close!  I will share what it will be in the upcoming days...
How can you be entered in the drawing?  Leave a message on my posts from now until we reach 100,000...it is that simple :)

Wishing You...

My middle child was 9 on Tuesday and this is the card I made for him using a leftover number from the Snowflake Season Simply Scrappin' Kit, a tag from the Two Tags die and some dsp from the Festival of Prints pack.

I added a sentiment from the Wacky Wishes stamp set and on my Cherry Cobbler layer under the tag, I used the Simply Scored Borders Scoring Plate (Occasions Mini catalog).

I made another version that doesn't have a number on it as well and just added a scallop circle that I embossed with the Honeycomb folder and a Cherry Cobbler button on top of it.

Sparkle and Shimmer

The current Late Night Stampers challenge is 3D ornaments, since I have shown you a couple of the fun ones similar to the one on the cover of the Holiday mini catalog, I thought I would create something different.

I made it a hybrid project and decorated both sides differently, the first side is printed from MDS using the To You from Me download.  I added some Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details to the ornaments.

On the back, I used some Glimmer paper and the Snow Flurry die as well as the Clear circle die.   It is hung with Cherry Cobbler tulle and I added a large rhinestone to the middle of the snowflakes.

Sneak Peek

Today's card is a fun preview of some things to come in the Occasions Mini catalog!  The background is embossed with the Cloudy Day folder and it has a layer of designer series paper over it from the More Amore dsp set.

Each of the delicate doilies die cuts have a silver basics designer button over the top of them (these will come in 2 different sizes).

My sentiment is from the Kindness matters stamp set and I just cut the corners with the paper snips.

Oval Accent Gift Card Holder

I have another sample for the Late Night Stampers challenge using Gift Card holders.  This one is made from the Oval Accent Die - I cut one from the Naturals composition specialty paper and one from Gumball Green card stock.

I embossed the Gumball Green piece with the Honeycomb folder (preview item from the Occasions Mini catalog!) and cut off about 1/3 of it.  It is attached to the back of the other piece around the edges so that a gift card will fit inside the pocket.

Then, I decorated the front with some Silver Glimmer paper, Be of Good Cheer DSP, Natural 7/16" trim ribbon (another sneak peek from the Occasions Mini catalog), linen thread and Very vanilla and Cherry cobbler card stock.

I added a strip of the Be of Good Cheer dsp to the Cherry Cobbler holiday ornament die cut and then ran it through the Big Shot with the Vintage wallpaper folder.

Christ is Born

I have not tried out the Illuminate Glimmer Watermark Stampin' Pad yet so I thought I would use it on this card.

It is difficult to see in the pictures, but behind the saying I used it to stamp a large flower.  It shows up really well when you look at it in person and I love the effect.

Supplies
Christ is Born
Soft Suede textured, Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla and Crumb Cake card stock
Soft Suede and Illuminate Glimmer Watermark ink
Fancy Fan folder

December Stamp Club projects

These are the projects we made for Stamp Club this month, I kept within the Christmas theme using the Be of Good Cheer designer series paper, Snow Flurry die, Greetings of the Season stamp set and Holiday collection framelits.

The layout is pretty simple but I have allowed room to personalize with a title or other embellishments if they choose.  I thought using the piece of card stock that has already had the snowflakes cut out would be fun little twist this time.
