I always love to work from a sketch so I am going to TRY to work on a few sketch challenges again!  This one is from Mary Jo at www.technostamper.com...

I chose Parker's Patterns designer series paper to work with along with the Oh Hello stamp set, flower trim and Chevron folder.

The ovals framelits came in handy as well for my sentiment layers.

Embossed Lacy and Lovely

The Late Night Stampers challenge this week is using heat embossing so I thought I would try my Lacy and Lovely stamp set for that.  I used Cherry Cobbler embossing powder and then I sponged the whole layer with Crumb Cake.

After that, I used the Needlepoint border folder around the edges and sponged the raised dry embossing with Soft Suede.

Supplies
Lacy and Lovely
Vintage Verses
Needlepoint border folder
Cherry Cobbler, Soft Suede and Crumb Cake classic ink
Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White and Crumb Cake card stock

More in my thoughts

As promised, I have a few more variations on yesterday's card.  They all have the same Pool Party background that has been embossed with the Chevron folder and also use the Apothecary accents framelits.

I added some stamping with the Lacy and Lovely stamp set on all of these and used more elements from the Artisan Embellishment Kit.

The last one has some retired pleated ribbon on it as well.

Hope you like the variations!

In my thoughts

I did some playing around with this sentiment from Word Play and the More Amore designer series paper.  Tomorrow I will show you a couple other cards that are similar, but just a little bit different.

I used the Apothecary Accents framelits to make the piece my sentiment is stamped on and then used the Needlepoint Border folder above and below the sentiment.

The flags are from the Hearts a Flutter framelits and I put a little linen thread behind them.  Some Victoria crochet trim and part of the Artisan Embellishments kit top it off.

Supplies:
Word Play
Primrose Petals ink
Pool Party, Very Vanilla card stock
More Amore specialty paper
Apothecary Accents framelits
Chevron Folder
Needlepoint Border Folder
Hearts a Flutter framelits
Artisan Embellishments kit
linen thread
Victoria crochet trim

Only One You

I used this card in my stamp a stack this month to show off some of the Sale-a-bration items.  There is a little bit of Sycamore Street designer series paper along with some stamped images from Vintage Verses and Madison Avenue.

The background image is from Everything Eleanor and I used Pool Party, Island Indigo and Rich Razzleberry ink.

Color challenge

This week at Late Night Stampers, our challenge is to use Rich Razzleberry, Pink Pirouette and Lucky Limeade on a project.

I created this card using the Everything Eleanor and Vintage Verses (SAB) stamp sets.  My texture comes from the Honeycomb and Fancy Fan Folders and I have used some Artisan Embellishment kits items as well.

My die cut comes from the Apothecary Accents framelits and I have added some basic pearls and a button from the Brights collection designer buttons.

You can see what the rest of the design team has created here.  Hope you join us!

Oh, Hello

This stamp set is in the Occasions Mini catalog and I didn't really consider it until I saw so many fun samples created with it!

On this one, I used some strips of Tea for Two dsp and placed them each a little crooked on some So Saffron card stock.

Then, I cut out some hexagons from more of the same designer series paper and added then along with some embellishments. some Nautrals 7/16" trim and my sentiment.

Quick and easy to put together and great for scraps.

Don't forget - tomorrow is the big day!  Sale-a-bration starts!!!

Kindness

The sentiment on this card is from my favorite retired set called Occasional Quotes.  I added an image from Serene Silhouettes and some Print Poetry dsp.

The background is Cherry Cobbler embossed with the Honeycomb folder and I have also used Crumb Cake, Soft Suede and Very Vanilla card stock.

Thinking of you

I found that I really like this color combination Primrose Petals, Baja Breeze, Lucky Limeade and Early Espresso.  On this card I used Just Believe, Distressed Dots, and Thoughts and Prayers in these colors.

If I made this one again, I might stamp off the Distressed dots before I stamp it on my card stock so that the sentiment is a little easier to see.

Celebrate

This is another card I made by using the One Big Sale-a-Bration disc and printing off the sentiment and image using My Digital Studio.

My background is once again embossed with the Fancy Fan folder, but this time on Baja Breeze.  I have also added another layer of Crumb Cake that was embossed with the Honeycomb folder and some Naturals designer buttons for an accent.

Live in the Sunshine

I wasn't sure I wanted the Feeling Sentimental stamp set in the Sale-a-bration catalog, it just wasn't a set I was sure I would use.  Lucky for me, Stampin' Up! offers a One Big Sale-a-bration digital disc!

Instead of stamping the image, I just printed it out in the size I wanted and made my card with it.  I just love this option!

Supplies:
Pursuit of Happiness
One big sale-a-bration disc
Pool Party, Island Indigo, Whisper White and Naturals Composition paper
Early Espresso classic ink
My Digital Studio
Fancy Fan folder
Ticket duo builder punch

Artisan Embellished

I really like the new Artisan Embellishments kit in the Occasions mini catalog, I just wish there were more pieces!

On this card, I added some of the More Amore Specialty Designer Series paper, linen thread and Pool Party and Very Vanilla card stock that was embossed with the Cloudy Day folder to the kit pieces.  No stamping at all on this card.

    Best Things

I just love the bright colors in the Sunshine and Sprinkles dsp.  I have used it on this card along with some Basic Gray that I ran through the Big Shot using the Honeycomb folder.

The ribbon is some that is retired, but the scallop dotted ribbon in Melon Mambo would be almost the same.  I put the sentiment on a labels collection framelit with Pacific Point ink using the stamp set Feel Goods.

    Simple Snowflakes

Both cards today are very simple cards using a stamp in the set Every Little Bit and the sentiment comes from Curly Cute.

On the top one, I used some dsp from the Sunshine & Sprinkles set along with some Crumb Cake and Whisper White card stock.  The ink colors are Raspberry Ripple and Early Espresso and I added a in color dahlia as well for an accent.

Both cards have a scored pattern on them although it is almost impossible to see in these photos.  I used the Simply Scored Borders Scoring Plate to make these designs.

My camera didn't like the white background with the white card - so sorry!  This one uses Midnight Muse ink and the same stamp sets on Whisper White.

    Miracles Happen

Another Sale-a-bration preview today using the Bloomin' Marvelous stamp set.

I added some Print Poetry dsp stack paper, a vintage trinket and some natural 7/16" trim ribbon to complete the card.

Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla and Gumball Green were my colors on this one.

    January Stamp Club projects

I wanted to use a lot of new products for my January Stamp Club projects and this is what I came up with.

The first card uses both the Honeycomb folder and the Cloudy Day folder along with some More Amour specialty paper.

For the second card, I CASED one in the mini catalog with a few changes using the Sunshine and Sprinkles dsp and the Cuddles and Kisses stamp set.

For the layout, I chose to use the Tea for Two dsp and the Hearts a Flutter framelits.

    Snowmen

The Late Night Stampers Challenge this week is snowmen and since I don't have any snowmen stamps, I used My Digital Studio for part of my card today.

The designer papers are from the Frosty Day II collection and the stamp is from the Cute Christmas set.  I added some smooch pearlized accent to my snowman to make him shine (you can find this on the clearance rack).

A large rhinestone and some in color designer brads along with a couple of Snow Flurry die cut snowflakes complete my card.

    Hope you join us!

    Sugar Rush

I was able to help out with our K through 4th grade gingerbread house project just before Christmas this year.  It was so much fun watching their creations come to life as they got sticky and tried to sneak candy to eat!

This page was created with My Digital Studio using a variety of different elements.  The Island Indigo patterned paper is part of the Sale-a-bration CD available very soon!

I paired the labels collection framelit with the sentiment this time and added some Print Poetry dsp, lace from the Artisan Embellishment kit and embossing with the honeycomb folder.
