Wheely Sweet

The stamp set I am using today isn't a new one, but it is in the new catalog along with the embossing folder and designer series paper.

Cycle Celebration is a fun set that can be used for several different occasions, but for this card I chose friendship.

My accents are the items that are retiring (so get them quick before it is too late!!) - the hang up cute clip and stitched satin Summer Starfruit ribbon.

Supplies:
Cycle Celebration
Smoky Slate, Whisper White card stock
Coastal Cabana, Smoky Slate ink
Alphabet press folder

Clockworks Gift Set

Recently, I had a request for some cards that had a clock or time theme to them.  The cards below are what I came up with using the retiring Clockworks stamp set.

I used some Gold Metallic ink on Pear Pizzazz card stock and randomly stamped some of the images.  Then, I added some Gold Foil sheets that were embossed with the Decorative dots folder over the top.

Finally the pocket watch and a sentiment (from Wetlands), some washi tape and a basic pearl to complete the cards.

Supplies:
Wetlands, Clockworks
Pear Pizzazz, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake card stock
Gold Metallic, Early Espresso and Pear Pizzazz ink
Gold Foil sheets
Decorative dots folder
Watercolor Wonder washi tape
Basic pearls

May My Paper Pumpkin

A rain delay in the planting gave me some time to work and play in my stamp room again so I grabbed the May My Paper Pumpkin kit first!  This kit makes 4 standard size cards and two small ones (and I had some leftovers when I was done).

I used a few stamps from previous kits as well when I stamped, but stayed with Wild Wasabi, Marina Mist and Crumb Cake as my ink colors.

Some of the self adhesive pieces in the kit I left as is and others I cut down to different sizes.  I added a button or two, but that was about it, the kit had some fun little candy dots and baker's twine for accessories.

My cards are variations on those pictured in the kit, but that is the fun thing about the My Paper Pumpkin kits...you can copy the sample exactly or go out on your own and alter things as you choose!

If these look like fun, you can go here and start your subscription today!  The kits come once a month and you can cancel or suspend your service any time you choose.  For just $19.95 (shipping included, but tax is added), you have a fun little escape each month and inks and stamps left to use another day!

The kits make great gifts as well for anyone from beginner to experienced stamper (kids too!).

I hope you enjoyed these samples!

Have a wonderful day!!

Peachy Keen

I had to sneak this one in before the stamp set I used is unavailable so I am sending out two posts today.

I will fully admit that I am not the most organized scrapbooker and I think it comes from the fact that I started when my kids were a few years old and tried to go backwards and forwards with and get it all in.  That being said, sometimes I scrap pictures more than once, LOL!  I do have separate books for each of my children so that is generally not a big deal, but since my sister doesn't scrapbook I can also pass along some pages with duplicate pictures if I need to :)

I wanted to focus on the fun picture of my nieces on this layout and just added some colorful accents around it.

The stamped images come from Peachy Keen (Occasions catalog) and I have used the On Film Framelits for a few of the pieces as well as the Ovals Framelits for the title piece.

More of that thick Strawberry Slush baker's twine, some Sale-a-bration cork adhesive pieces and My Paper Pumpkin kit baker's twine...

Some delicate details lace tape, basic rhinestones and In Color boutique details finish out the elements.

Supplies:
Peachy Keen
Coastal Cabana, Baked Brown Sugar ink
Lullaby designer series paper
Whisper White, Coastal Cabana, Strawberry Slush card stock
Delicate details lace tape
Basic Rhinestones
Cork adhesive pieces
In color boutique details
Strawberry Slush thick baker's twine
In Color designer series paper stack 2013-2015

Class of 2014

Awhile back I promised to share the graduation announcements I made for our nephew this spring.  The decorations I shared here and here were made with the same colors and My Digital Studio Download called The Grad Life.

The announcements themselves were quite simple and quick to put together.  I used Pacific Point and Whisper White card stock along with some Gold Foil Sheets.  The flying hat (and I am sure there is a better, more appropriate way to say that!!) behind the wording was in Basic Gray, with much reduced opacity so it didn't take away from the information.

Simple and fun!

Blended Bloom

The flower on this card would probably look better colored in with the new Blendabilities markers (although I like this image like this as well), but I don't have any of them yet!  So, to show you this fun individual stamp without them is what I decided to do...

It is stamped with the new color Tangelo Twist and I sponged some Hello Honey in the center before adding the In Color Boutique Detail.

I made some faux washi tape with some strips of Moonlight designer series paper and added my sentiment from Let your hair down.

Supplies:
Let Your Hair Down, Blended Bloom
Tangelo Twist, Lost Lagoon ink
Hello Honey, Whisper White and Crumb Cake card stock

Piles of Prayers

Piles of Prayer Journals that is!  I have completed the gifts for the confirmation class at my church (and even a few weeks early!!).  Each one started out as a Retro Fresh or Epic Day This and That Journal and I have added stamped images, prayers and words of encouragement to lots of the pages while others are left blank for their own prayers and thoughts.

On the cover, I chose to add the chorus to one of my favorite songs by Steven Curtis Chapman called Still Listening.

Some of the items I put on the inside come from things I have found on Pinterest and have pinned to my Prayer Journal board

This year there are 12 which is the most by at least double of what I have made in past years.  I hope they find them useful and encouraging.

Supplies:
This and That and Retro Fresh Journals
Silver and Very Vintage Buttons
Epic Day This and That and Retro Fresh washi tape
Trust God, Crosses of Hope and Blessings from Heaven stamp sets
Calypso Coral, Very Vanilla and Daffodil Delight card stock

Springtime Hello

Well, our weather finally seems to be straightening itself out and spring seems to be here so I thought I would share a Springtime Hello card with you!

One of my favorite designer series paper packs that will be retiring is Modern Medley, mostly for the music!  I paired it with some Cherry Cobbler card stock and Silver Glimmer paper.

One card uses Watercolor Wonder washi tape and the other some linen thread as an accent - I like them both though!

Supplies:
Too Kind
Springtime Hello
Modern Medley dsp
Very Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler, Champagne glimmer paper
Cherry Cobbler, Wild Wasabi and Daffodil Delight ink

HAPPY

Well, this is the last Project Life project I have to share with you this week and it is a simple one!  I love how you can just put a few of these pieces together and viola, you have a great card!

I cut a little strip off the side of the designer pattern piece and stamped my sentiment from Something to Say (sneak peek set) and then cut out a little banner end and added it to the little Happy card.

There is a little piece of naturals ribbon with the edges fringed on the little arrow clip for a little fun as well.

Supplies:

Off the Grid Wishes

I guess I was in the mood for some grunging and sponging when I put this one together!  It started with a piece of Epic Day This is That designer series paper and then I decided to add a layer that had some hexagons sponged into it over the top.

I took a die cut made with the Hexagon Hive thinlit and used it as a template for the sponging, then I added some more sponging, Off the Grid images and some splatters from Gorgeous Grunge.

The sentiment is from Perfect Pennants and I added a little Gorgeous Grunge and sponging to that as well.

Supplies:
Perfect Pennants
Gorgeous Grunge
Off the Grid
Epic Day This and That dsp
Old Olive, Very Vanilla card stock
Early Espresso, Calypso Coral, Old Olive, Soft Suede ink

Science Experiment

Well, I sat down and completed a page using the Project Life photo pockets page and the Everyday Adventure kits including the My Digital Studio version.  I have to say I like how it turned out, but it took me a lot longer to put together than my usual pages, probably because I was over thinking too much.

I chose two elements that were done in My Digital Studio in addition to the kits that are ready to go.

Generally, I like to have a lot of pictures on some of my pages (because I take way too many, LOL!) so I figured out a way to add 5 into this page.

I definitely need more play time, but will probably have to wait until after potato planting!

Thanks So Much

I pulled out the Project Life Everyday Adventures items again to play and put together a couple cards and a layout that I will share with you in the next few days.  The first is a simple card using the Cars and Labels framelits, Point and Click stamp set and some accessories paired with the Oh Hello stamp set.

Again, I love the designer series paper patterns in the Project Life kit so I had to add a splash of one of those patterns to the card!

Supplies:
Oh Hello
Point and Click
Calypso Corals, Whisper White, Strawberry Slush card stock
Calypso Coral, Bermuda Bay ink

Raindrops

The current Late Night Stampers challenge involves using crystal effects in some way on your card or project.  I decided to make some little raindrops on and around my flowers using the crystal effects and also chose some designer series paper that looks like raindrops to go behind it.

You can see a little better on the picture below how the raindrops turned out.

The designer series paper is from the Moonlight stack in the upcoming catalog and the stamp set is again Bloom with Hope.

I added some Blackberry Bliss 3/8" stitched satin ribbon and some naturals designer buttons to finish off the card.

Supplies:
Bloom with Hope
Blackberry Bliss, Mossy Meadow, Wild Wasabi, Wisteria Wonder ink
Whisper White, Mossy Meadow, Lost Lagoon card stock
Moonlight dsp stack
decorative label punch
crystal effects
naturals designer buttons
Blackberry Bliss 3/8" stitched satin ribbon
