November Paper Pumpkin Part 2

As promised, here is the alternative item I made with the November Paper Pumpkin kit.  I used one of the cards and folded it on the score lines.

Then, I measured to see how big I needed to make a box to fit inside.

The box is attached to the bottom and sides of the card and then I added a tag to the top as a way of closing the box off.

Some embellishments on the sides were all it needed to be complete.

November Paper Pumpkin Part 1

I took a little time to work on my November Paper Pumpkin while at a retreat last weekend and I just love the cards and tags that were in the kit.

I followed the examples on these and will share with you an alternate 3D project tomorrow.

I think there were enough pieces for 12 tags and 10 cards in the kit and although I haven't done anything with them yet, I kept the punched out letters from the tag to use another time.

Now is a great time to purchase gift subscriptions for someone on your Christmas list (or for yourself!).

More of Winnie the Pooh

Here are the last three variations of the wooden pieces I shared with you yesterday.  The customer wanted to make sure I used the same saying on all of them "...if there ever comes a day when we can't be together, keep me in your heart, I'll stay there forever..."

Again, I used some retired items, but on the masculine ones I decided to use the Wetlands stamp set.

Again, lots of sponging (I actually used the reinker and put it directly on my sponge for the edges of the wood instead of tapping it into my ink pad).

Hope you enjoy them (and my customer too does too)!

Winnie the Pooh

At a craft show recently, I had a wooden plaque on display that I made and it had a picture of my kids on it so it wasn't for sale obviously, just a sample.  A lady asked me to make up 5 more for her with the same saying, but vary them a little.  I couldn't get the exact wooden piece that I had used on the first one, but really like the ones I did use.

Each one is a little different and I have used some retired stamp sets that I still have laying around too...

Lots of sponging and thankfully I still had a pack of the retired specialty paper I used in the background for them.

I will share the others with you tomorrow!

Addicted to Stamping

Last weekend was the semi annual scrapbooking retreat that I go to at our local and awesome Bible Camp.  I always like to make a little something to put on everyone's table and this year tried to tie in with the theme of "What Happens at the Retreat, Stays at the Retreat!"

These French Fry boxes went together much more quickly than I had anticipated which I was grateful for since we had 50 people attending!  I stamped an image from Work of Art on the front of them before putting them together and then added the "Hello my name is..." afterward.  The fast fuse adhesive worked great to keep them together.

This is what I put inside them along with a couple Stampin' Up! playing cards for fun.

Supplies:
Work of Art
Assorted card stock
Early Espresso, Baked Brown Sugar ink
French Fry die
Fast Fuse adhesive

Chevron and Circles

I was playing with a layout on this card (and you might see another version in the future!) using a piece of Pool Party that was embossed with the Chevron folder and then I used the Circles framelits to cut out different sizes of circles.

I added some stamped images from Nature's Peace and Letterpress winter and a sentiment from Curly Cute.

Supplies:
Letterpress Winter, Curly Cute, Nature's Peace
Pool Party, Blackberry Bliss ink
Whisper White, Pool Party card stock
Chevron folder
Circles framelits
1 3/4" circle punch
Basic rhinestones

Dish towel stamping

One day I realized I have a bunch of plain white dish towels stashed in my project storage and thought I would try a winter look on one.  Letterpress Winter was the stamp set I used and I chose Pool Party, Basic Gray and Lost Lagoon inks.

I heat set the inks with an iron after they dried on their own.  Truthfully I am not sure if washing them will smear the ink or not...we will see!

White dish towel
Lost Lagoon, Pool Party and Basic Gray ink

Texture and Pattern

I always seen to go back to this sentiment that was in the first Paper Pumpkin kit, I love the fonts as well as the words.

There are quite a few things going on in this card...maybe too much?  I chose to add a Positively Chevron background followed by some Decorative Dots embossing.

Another Paper Pumpkin stamp is placed behind the sentiment and I also used the Gorgeous Grunge set for a little splatter.

Supplies:
Gorgeous Grunge, Positively Chevron, Paper Pumpkin
Crumb Cake, Lost Lagoon ink
Soft Suede, Whisper White, Lost Lagoon card stock
Note tag punch
mini stapler
Decorative dots folder
Lost Lagoon stitched satin ribbon

Sunshine

As I get ready for a semi-annual scrapbooking retreat, one of the things I needed to do was make a couple sets of swap cards.  This is one of them and I will share the other on another day.

The background is printed from My Digital Studio and the designer paper is in the collection called Modern Prints.

I chose a sentiment from Ray of Sunshine and added a little bit of Watercolor Wonder designer washi tape and a basic hodgepodge clip to finish it off.

Supplies:
Ray of Sunshine
Blackberry Bliss ink
Blackberry Bliss, Whisper White card stock
Watercolor Wonder washi tape
Basic hodgepodge clips
