Gee, Thanks

After making the page I shared with you yesterday I created a card using the Word Bubbles framelits too (and the same designer series paper as well) although they look nothing at all alike!

I thought some itty bitty accents punches with basic rhinestones in the middle were nice accents with the designer paper pattern.

Supplies:
Just Sayin'
Memento black ink
Whisper White, Lost Lagoon card stock
Flowerpot dsp
1/4" Blushing Bride cotton ribbon
basic rhinestones
itty bitty accents punches

Target Practice

It wasn't long after our son, Hunter, finished his Hunter Safety course that he wanted to get in some target practice with his dad.  Our dog seemed to want to stick beside him when he was shooting and also when our other son, Wyatt, was taking a turn and I got some fun pictures of the process without them knowing.

I used the Calling All Heros stamp set for the title and the corner images.  After stamping, I used the white chalk maker to make some dotted lines on the inside of the images and then colored the whole corner with Daffodil Delight blendabilities markers.

I added a little Word Bubble die cut to the corner of one of the photos as well.

Supplies:
Memento Black ink
White chalk marker
Daffodil Delight Blendabilities
Crumb Cake, Whisper White and Basic Black card stock
Flowerpot dsp
Word Bubbles framelits

How Old?

I like this color combination that comes from the Gold Soiree specialty paper using Crisp Cantaloupe, Whisper White and Gold.  There is a strip of Gold Fancy foil vellum and some gold sequin trim, both intact and taken apart.

The sentiment is from Just Sayin' and cut out with the Word Bubbles framelits.

Supplies:

First Day of School

Yesterday was the first day of school for my kids and I made some fun signs with My Digital Studio for them to hold during picture time.  I used the My First Day, School Days and Lemonade Stand collections and printed them on Whisper White card stock.  Next, I mounted them on Pool Party, Real Red and Basic Black.

One of these children is much less excited than the other two :)

My oldest thought it would be fun to take the picture below, he is my funny little guy (ok, not so little anymore when is he going into 7th grade!).

Stuffed with Happiness

As the kids prepare for school to start and I try to plan ahead for a couple months of harvest, the cards I share with you generally won't be too complicated.

This one uses the Mingle all the Way stamp set again, this time using the Thanksgiving sentiment.

Some Color Me Autumn designer series paper a few punches and a Draw the Line image complete the basic card.

Supplies:
Draw the Line, Mingle all the Way
Baked Brown Sugar, Cajun Craze ink
Pear Pizzazz, Hello Honey, Very Vanilla and Early Espresso card stock
scallop edge punch
note tag punch
1 3/4" scallop circle punch
Color me Autumn dsp
gold basic buttons

Watercolored Sympathy

On this sympathy card, I used some watercolor paper and my aqua painter for a washed out background.  The flowers and sentiment are from the Bloom with Hope stamp set (hostess set) and I added some embossed Mossy Meadow card stock behind it.

If you haven't tried this cotton ribbon yet, you don't know what you are missing!  It is really quite easy to work with and looks great on projects as well.

Supplies:
Bloom with Hope
Night of Navy, Strawberry Slush, Marina Mist ink
Mossy Meadow, Watercolor paper and Whisper White card stock
Modern Mosaic folder
1/4" Marina Mist cotton ribbon

White Distressed

At Late Night Stampers, the challenge is now distressing and I chose to use White craft ink on Basic Black card stock as my distressing.

First, I added some of the White craft ink to the Basic Black card stock and let it dry.  Then, I ran it through the Big Shot with the Lucky Stars folder and added a little more White craft ink to bring out the stars.

Next, I stamped the sentiment with Memento black ink and used some blendabilities markers to color over it and add color to some of the words.

Hope you play along with us and you can check out the rest of the design team samples here.

Supplies:
Mingle All the Way
Memento Black, White Craft ink
Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, Whisper White card stock
Lucky stars folder
3/4" Pumpkin Pie Chevron ribbon

August Paper Pumpkin Take 2

As promised, I have some card samples made with the latest Paper Pumpkin kit pieces.  They are fairly similar to the samples that come with the kit, with a few small variations.

The bigger pieces are die cut already for you with the sentiments on them.

The stamps are 4 different sentiments that fit in the little banners and the tiny little dot that you see stamped on all the cards.

Don't forget, you can still sign up for September's kit and get 50% off your first 2 months! Just go here and use the halfoff2 code when you sign up. You may choose to continue receiving the kits, or you may cancel at any time.

August My Paper Pumpkin Take 1

Another super fun Paper Pumpkin kit came in the mail last week and today I have one of my samples to show you (I promise some more tomorrow!).  The kit contains 4 regular size cards, 4 mini cards and fun envelopes for each along with accents and adhesives, stamps and ink.

I decided to make a little box out of two of the smaller envelopes.  To do this, I cut off a little piece from one of the sides of the envelopes (from the score line to the edge of the piece on each side now measures 1 1/4").

Then, I added a small piece of Strawberry Slush card stock to one flap on both the top and bottom so the box doesn't have any holes when it is closed.

The circles and brads on each side just cover up the curved edges that were already on the original pieces and I added some velcro to the top so it closes completely.

I can't wait to see everyone else's creations!

Trim the Tree

I always like to see some designer series paper stacks when the catalogs come out.  It is nice to have a smaller size sometimes and I appreciate the option!

On the card base, I stamped an image from Draw the Line in Baked Brown Sugar ink and then added the piece of designer series paper from the Trim the Tree stack.

The sentiment is from Mingle all the Way and is stamped in White craft ink.  A very simple card with a little bit of whimsy.

Supplies:
Mingle all the way, Draw the Line
White craft, Baked Brown sugar ink
Whisper White, Lost Lagoon card stock
Trim the tree dsp
bakers twine
2" circle punch

Watercolor Background

We are sticking with Be the Star again today for a different version, again using the stars as a background.  Using several different colors, I added stars on both the card base and the next layer before adding my sentiment over the top.

The sentiment layer is watercolor paper that has been colored with an aqua painter and some Marina Mist ink.

Supplies:
Be the Star, Really Good Greetings
Mossy Meadow, Blackberry Bliss, Marina Mist, Lost Lagoon ink
Lost Lagoon, Crumb Cake, Watercolor card stock
Note tag punch
1/8" silver ribbon
Beach house washi tape

Be the Star

I did a little playing around with the Be the Star stamp set one day and the card I am sharing today is one of the creations.  It is just used as a background stamp on this card on a piece of Hello Honey card stock.

The rest of the card consists of some scraps and a paper tea lace doily.  I will share another Be the Star card with you tomorrow!

Supplies:
Yippee Skippee, Be the Star
Basic Black ink
Hello Honey, Whisper White card stock
Red glimmer paper
white bakers twine
tea lace paper doilies
1 3/4" circle punch
Apothecary accents framelit

Gift Card Envelope Thinlit

Another fun item in the upcoming Holiday catalog is the Gift card envelope & trims thinlit.  I give lots of gift cards and this is a really quick and easy way to create fun packaging for them!

My sentiment is from the Merry Everything stamp set and I used some All is Calm specialty paper and a frosted finished embellishment.

This is how the pocket part of the envelope looks, I didn't do anything to it other than attach the bottom flap with fast fuse adhesive.

Supplies:
Merry Everything
Pool Party ink
Whisper White, Smoky Slate, Lost Lagoon card stock
Frosted finished embellishments
All is Calm specialty paper
Gift Card envelope and trims thinlit

For all things

More holiday catalog items in the card I am sharing today.  We have some watercolor type images in the For All Things stamp set and I just love playing with those.  One of the images is stamped behind the sentiment on this card with Pistachio Pudding ink.

The designer paper is part of a collection called Under the Tree specialty paper and it ties in with the Kraft theme the catalog has in the packaging department (wrapping paper, boxes, bags, etc.).

Supplies:
For all things
Pistachio Pudding, Early Espresso ink
Marina Mist, Whisper White card stock
Under the tree specialty paper
On point folder
Apothecary accents framelits

Never too Early!

It is never too early to think about making Christmas cards, especially if you have a long list!  I am hoping to get a chance to design some Christmas card kits for you like I did last year...we will see how things go!

This card uses the Merry Everything stamp set and matching Note Tag punch.  The designer series paper is called All is Calm Specialty paper and I just love the colors that are not traditional Christmas colors.

Supplies:
Merry Everything
Pear Pizzazz, Smoky Slate, Lost Lagoon Whisper White card stock
Lost Lagoon ink
frosted sequins

And Finally Take 3

The last sentiment image is "merry" and these stamps can create beautiful cards without a lot of effort since the images are large and decorative themselves.

Each card uses the Filigree frame folder, but the bottom one has the reverse embossing by just flipping the card stock over.

I love the little All is Calm snowflake accents and can't wait to see all the ideas that stem from them!

Supplies:
Seasonally Scattered
Coastal Cabana ink
Very Vanilla, Coastal Cabana card stock
Filigree Frame folder
Pistachio Pudding ruffle stretch ribbon
gold basic buttons
1/8" silver ribbon
All is Calm snowflake embellishments

Take 2

Today's cards show the "thanks" sentiment in the Seasonally Scattered stamp set.  Both bases are Soft Suede card stock and I used the Decorative Dots and Stylish Stripes folders directly on the card bases.

The first image is stamped in baked Brown Sugar and the second in Cajun Craze.  Each one has some Color Me Autumn designer series paper (you are going to love this pack!).  The top has a few gold basic metal buttons and on the bottom, the accent is Venetian crochet trim.

Supplies:
Seasonally Scattered
Soft Suede, Baked Brown Sugar, Crushed Curry, Very Vanilla card stock
Baked Brown Sugar, Cajun Craze ink
Stylish stripes folder
Decorative dots folder
