Boo!

Happy Halloween!  It is always so much fun to take the kids out on this day, they always have such a good time and come home very tired!  This card was in my Stamp A Stack last week and is quite simple using the Paper Pumpkin stamps from September and some Motley Monsters designer series paper.

Composition Alteration

As I transition from harvest back to having some stamping time, I am getting ready for a craft show and making a few items I don't normally have one hand.  Some of those items are altered notebooks and I thought I would share one of them with you today.

I have used a composition book for this one, I usually have a stack of them on hand that I have found on clearance after back to school sales.  It is covered with Flashback designer series paper and I used sticky strip to attach both the designer series paper and the ribbon (retired).

The decorating is a simple layer of Real Red with the sentiment from Friends Who know on top of it.

Supplies:
Friends Who Know
Memento Black ink
Real Red, Very Vanilla card stock
Flashback dsp
Sticky Strip
1 1/4" striped grosgrain ribbon (retired)

Large Polka Dotted Christmas

The colors in the All is Calm specialty paper have become some of my favorites for combinations and I have really used the paper for a lot more than just Christmas projects.  This card is in my Stamp A Stack rotation right now and I have used both the specialty paper and washi tape.

There is my favorite embossing folder again too - Large polka dots!

For the little piece stapled to the Note tag punch, I doubled some washi tape over onto itself so it wasn't sticky anymore instead of using ribbon.

Supplies:
Merry Everything
Lost Lagoon ink
Whisper White, Pistachio Pudding card stock
All is calm specialty paper and washi tape
Mini stapler
Large polka dot folder
Note tag punch

The background is All is Calm specialty paper and a strip of Silver Foil Sheets.

Big News

The little onsies in the stamp set, Something for Baby, are just the cutest, don't you think?  I made a few baby boy and baby girl cards in the same design using different colors and centering around the onsies.

Since my backgrounds were plain (without stamping or embossing), I decided to mat my sentiment with some 2013 -2015 In color dsp stack designs.

Supplies:
Something for Baby, Big News
Strawberry Slush, Coastal Cabana, Baked Brown Sugar ink
Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight and Soft Suede card stock

Bloom with Hope Sympathy

There are a few of the Love Story Project Life cards that I really wanted to have more of so I purchased the digital version in order to print them myself.  That way, I can also re size them to fit my projects.

The lines and flowers next to the sentiment on this card were printed with My Digital Studio and the Love Story Project Life collection, I just reduced the size a little bit.

For the Bride

I thought the Tea Lace paper doilies would be fun to add to a Bridal shower card so when I was putting a few different ones together I came up with this.  It is very basic, but I think the doily adds a lot to it.

In addition to the doily, there is some Gold Soiree specialty paper and gold baker's twine added to the Pistachio Pudding layer of the card.

Supplies:
Cheers to Love
Pistachio Pudding, Whisper White card stock
Baked Brown Sugar ink
Gold Soiree specialty paper

I am sure you have probably seen the fun ornaments the lucky Founder's Circle attendees created and have shared lately.  Well, I wanted to give them a try too and it was really fun to put together!

I embellished mine without a bow, just an All is Calm snowflake embellishment and a little tag with a sentiment from Making Spirits bright.

3rd Grade!!

I have used the Seasonal Snapshot Project Life kit for this layout featuring my daughter's third grade class picture.  There are some really fun cards and embellishments that go along with each "season" the collection covers.

I added some images from Kinda Eclectic in the background and they are a little difficult to see on the pictures.

Lastly I added a few buttons and a hardware essentials paperclip.

Supplies:
Kinda Eclectic
Real Red, Basic Black, Hello Honey card stock
Real Red, Old Olive ink

Sassy and Eclectic

This card was another that a customer ordered from me.  I thought the middle image from Kinda Eclectic that looks like a sun was kind of cheery and fun for a get well card so I started with that in the background.

The card is made with Naturals White card stock - I like to switch over to that once in awhile.

Supplies:
Kinda Eclectic, Sassy Salutations
Crushed Curry, Wild Wasabi, Lost Lagoon and Pool Party ink
Naturals White card stock
Beach house washi tape

To the Newlyweds

Back to the Love Story Project Life Cards again for this card!  I used the Heart border punch at the top of a piece of Mossy Meadow card stock and then added the Project Life card, a little embellishment and two of the punched hearts to it.

To keep with the silver theme (on the "mr. & mrs.), I used some silver washi tape from the All is calm collection.

Howdy

Our county fair is just wrapping up and although my kids are not involved other than as spectators and maybe pedal tractor pull contestants, I thought this card was somewhat fitting.  I used the Yee Haw photopolymer stamp set and added some Flowerpot designer series paper to the mix.

A little bit of linen thread is wrapped around each edge and fastened in the back.

Supplies:

White Christmas

The stamp set I used today is one in the Holiday Catalog called White Christmas.  I am loving our fabulous fall/harvest weather right now and truthfully am no where near ready for the white stuff, but I like the stamp images :)

I "hung" the banner between the trees and just added a little bit more ink with a marker to make sure they were hooked to the trees.  With the photopolymer stamps, you can manipulate them a little bit so that they can be curved or stretched just a little bit extra sometimes and I think I may have not had the tree image on quite straight when I stamped it...

Supplies:
White Christmas
Lost Lagoon, Soft Suede, Coastal Cabana ink
Whisper White, Soft Suede card stock
All is Calm designer series paper and washi tape

Color Me Autumn

Well, I actually didn't intend to send you two posts yesterday, but will blame it on lack of sleep :)  Hope you enjoyed them anyway!!

Today I have a card I made for a customer order that uses the Bloom with Hope stamp set and some Color Me Autumn designer series paper.  One thing I really like about the dsp is that it incorporates both Very Vanilla and Whisper White (not on the same designs).  I tend to go more toward Whisper White than Very Vanilla, but I like using them both.

I added a little bow made with the Stitched Satin Blackberry Bliss ribbon as well for a little accent.

Eat Something Sweet

Here is an idea for when you run out of those cute little burlap bags that came in the September Paper Pumpkin kit (although, you can order a refill kit as well!)...mini muslin bags!

I stamped right on the muslin with Blackberry Bliss and Memento Black inks (be sure you let it dry before you finish the project, it can smear).

I added a quick tag leftover from the Paper Pumpkin kit along with some black baker's twine and orange sequin trim from the same it to finish off the bag.

Add a little candy and you are all set!
