Thinking of You

For someone who has said (more than once) that she doesn't like to cut out objects with a paper snips why am I showing you project two days in a row that I have?  That is just the way they fell in my rotation I guess :)

I felt that the typewriter should be cut out and popped up on this card so that is why I pulled out the paper snips again.  It is colored in with Smoky Slate blendabilities markers and I added a little color to the sentiment piece with Cherry Cobbler ink as well.

Supplies:
Tap Tap Tap
Memento Black, Cherry Cobbler, Basic Gray ink
Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, Basic Gray card stock
Neutrals color collection dsp

Thanks so Much!

While I don't enjoy cutting out images too much, I did cut out these three flowers that were stamped from the Everything Eleanor stamp set.  They are layered onto a piece of Crumb Cake that has some images from Chalk Lines stamped to form a frame.

The sentiment is from a past Paper Pumpkin kit and I added some thick baker's twine from Sale-a-bration and a layer of Mint Macaron that was embossed with the Boho Chic folder.

I like this color combination and will probably use it again soon!  Lost Lagoon, Mint Macaron, Crumb Cake and Whisper White...

Maddie's Stamping Stuff

Each year we get a gift of cheese from some of our seed potato customers in Wisconsin and it comes in a cute little wooden box that I never want to throw away.

I have made a box of cards with custom made envelopes before using one of these boxes, but this time I decided to make something for my daughter's stamp table.

She is 9 1/2 and always wants to scrapbook and stamp and has her own little spot in the basement.  It is nice to always have a stamping buddy!

I used the Schoolhouse Designer series paper pack along with some different stamp sets and embellishments to decorate the box and I know she has already filled it up!

For the top, I used the Layered Letters stamp set along with some 1/4" Pool Party cotton ribbon and a basic hodge podge clips accent.  There are also some White perfect accents used.

The sides have buttons and sentiments...

She was so excited to see what I made with the box and even more thrilled to find out it was for her!

Supplies:
Layered Labels, Just Kidding, Hello Life
Pool Party, Pacific Point ink
Pool Party, Whisper White, Pacific Point card stock

Happy Thoughts

So this month I had a chance to open my Paper Pumpkin kit only a few days (instead of weeks) after it arrived and I had a lot of fun putting it together.

The items in the kit were the only things I used except for a paper cutter and Calypso Coral and Wild Wasabi ink.  The rest of the items were already included and I actually had some left as well.

There are two styles of cards in the kit along with envelope liners for both style of card.  I actually used parts of one of the envelope liners and added them to a couple cards although when you look at the envelopes you wouldn't know that.

It wasn't until I had placed all the Calypso Coral envelope liners in their envelopes that I thought about using the liners as accents so I only used the ones from the long envelopes.

The little circles on the card above are the punch outs from the flowers and I thought I might as well use them too!

This one is close to the original design except for the added stamped stars and placement of the wooden accent stars.

Another variation...

I like the idea of background stamping with a sentiment several times as you probably have noticed in some of my other projects so I tried that out on one of these as well.

The little banner sentiment is attached with 3 glue dots and bubbles up a little.  It was actually put there to cover up a smudged stamped image!

You can see part of an envelope liner on this one...

And these were the two original designs that were designed by Stampin' Up! and the kit directions explain how to create them.

Still haven't tried the Paper Pumpkin monthly surprises?  You can do it any time by tried a prepaid subscription here or going directly to the Paper Pumpkin site here.  Either way you should try it out!  :)

Happiness

I love the color combination in the Bohemian Designer Series paper although I am not a fan of all the patterns.  With different patterns on each side it works well though so I can just use the ones I like the best!

I chose to use the same color combination with the inks I used one this card and instead of punching the frosting out with the Tree builder punch (only since I didn't have it yet!), I cut it with the paper snips.

Supplies:
Sprinkles of Life
Bermuda Bay, Delightful Dijon, Blackberry Bliss, Island Indigo ink
Very Vanilla, Blackberry Bliss, Bermuda Bay card stock
Banner triple punch

Celebrate

I tried a couple different ways to photograph this card to get the background to show up better, but nothing seemed to work too well.  You can tell if you look closely that I stamped the "happy birthday" all over the card base using Blackberry Bliss (the same color as the card base).

I paired the Happy Birthday Everyone stamp set with Celebrate Today and chose some Neutrals color collection designer series paper as well.  The sequins are added with glue dots.
