Give Thanks

While I have been sharing some Christmas and Halloween project once in awhile lately, I don't want to forget about giving thanks.  During the harvest season especially, but every day as well I think it is important to give thanks for all that we have been given and thought a couple cards in that theme would be a good idea.

The stamp set I used is called For all things and I love the watercolor images in this set.  I chose to make two different styles although they are similar in layout.

The one above uses some Farmers Market designer series paper and some Venetian crochet trim ribbon while the one below uses some Into the Woods designer series paper and a strip of Crumb Cake stamped with acorns.

Supplies:
For all things
Mossy Meadow, Crumb Cake ink
Very Vanilla, Whisper White, Mossy Meadow, Soft Suede, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler card stock
Venetian crochet trim ribbon

#HappyBirthday

Well, we finished digging the potatoes on Tuesday - yeah!  Then, Wednesday we started harvesting soybeans so there was no break between them this year, although it rained Wednesday night so I have a few days to play catch up.  I might just be able to keep the posts going all the way through harvest after all - we will see!

Another fairly quick card to share with you again today using the Balloon Bash and Layered Letters Alphabet stamp sets.  The hash tag in the background is from the Layered Letters Alphabet set and I stamped that with Tip Top Taupe ink.

I added a little piece of Pretty Petals designer series paper and a metal rimmed pearl to finish off the card.

Layered Letters Alphabet, Balloon Bash
Tip Top Taupe, Bermuda Bay ink
Very Vanilla, Bermuda Bay and Calypso Coral card stock

September Paper Pumpkin

Because of some rain, I was able to sit down and play with this month's Paper Pumpkin kit.  There are 8 little treat bags to create in the kit and I made one like the directions and went off on my own for the other two shown here.  Some more were confiscated by my daughter for her to create on her own :)

This is the one like the kit shows you...

This one uses the Howl-o-ween stamp set and Boo to You framelits to add a little something different.  It is supposed to look like a broom using the bag upside down but the picture doesn't quite give the whole effect.

A littler closer view...

and finally, I made a luminary like one adding a little battery operated candle to the inside and die cutting the "Boo"...

I added the fringe upside down and lower and then cut off the extra length.

I had a tough time getting the glow of the "candle" to show in the picture, but hopefully you get the idea!

Remember, next month Stampin' Up! is donating $1 to the Breast Cancer Research Fund (BCRF) if you are a current subscriber and $2 if you are a new subscriber
The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) advances the world's most promising research to eradicate breast cancer. Founded by Evelyn H. Lauder in 1993, BCRF has raised more than $550 million to fuel discoveries in tumor biology, genetics, prevention, treatment, survivorship and metastasis, making it one of the largest non-governmental funders of breast cancer research in the world. This year BCRF has invested $58.6 million in research, to support over 235 researchers at leading medical institutions across six continents, including $11.6 million to the international Evelyn H. Lauder Founder's Fund focused on metastasis. By spending 91 cents of every dollar on research and public awareness programs, BCRF remains one of the nation's most fiscally responsible nonprofits. BCRF is the only breast cancer organization with an "A+" from CharityWatch, and has been awarded Charity Navigator's highest rating of four stars 13 times since 2002. Thinking of You

I am still trying to decide if I like this color combination, I am not sure if I like the Wild Wasabi with Lost Lagoon?...Anyway, the sentiment on this card comes from the stamp set called A Little Something.  The set is pretty versatile containing sentiment and images for several occasions.

I ran the Lost Lagoon card stock through the Big Shot with the Elegant Dots folder and then added a piece of Neutrals color collection designer series paper before attaching the sentiment layers and bakers twine.

Supplies:
A Little Something
Basic Gray ink
Wild Wasabi, Lost Lagoon, Basic Gray, Whisper White card stock
Neutrals color collection dsp
Neutrals designer buttons
2" and 2 1/2" circle punches
Silver baker's twine
Elegant dots folder

Silent Night

This is a good example of a quick project that I put together with not much time on my hands!  The Sleigh Ride edgelits created the cute little scene at the bottom of the card and I used the Jingle all the Way stamp set for the sentiment and musical notes.

Behind the scene is some Winter Wonderland specialty designer series paper (and I think next time I might add a background that isn't quite as busy).

When I get a little more time after harvest I hope to share some more fun projects using this edgelit set!

Supplies:
Jingle all the Way
Early Espresso ink
Early Espresso, Lost Lagoon, Tip Top Taupe card stock

Gratitude Sign

It is always fun for me to figure out a different ways to use the Project Life card collections.  I love them for fun scrapbook pages, either traditional or using the Project Life pocket pages, cards and today for some wall décor!

This was another find at a craft store that I decided to alter.  The twine that is used for hanging the piece was actually attached so it would hang the opposite way, but I just cut it off and stapled it to a different side on the back so that it could hang the long way.

I added a piece of Into the Woods designer series paper behind the Project Life cards and threw in part of a Tea Lace paper doily and some linen thread and bakers twine.

The wooden accents are also in the Seasonal Snapshot Project Life 20015 kit (Accessory pack) and I added them to the project with dimensionals.

Feathered Wishes

I have to say, I am not really a fan of feathers on projects but I do try to use the feather stamp in the Lovely Amazing You stamp set once in awhile.  On this card I paired that stamp set with the Go Wild designer series paper and some White Jute ribbon.

I stamped my feather three times without re-inking it to give the feathers a faded out look behind the little envelope.

I decided to fray the edges of the White Jute ribbon just a little bit as well as cut it in half the long way before I attached it to the card.

Supplies:
Lovely Amazing You
Tip Top Taupe, Pool Party ink
Whisper White, Bermuda Bay card stock

September Stamp Club Projects

I went with a little mix of Holiday catalog and Annual catalog for my stamp club projects this month.  The first card uses the Project Life Seasonal Snapshot 2015 stamp set along with some washi tape and basic rhinestones.

On our second card, I used the Snuggles and Smooches stamp set and the set from the Watercolor Wishes card kit to create a fun little birthday card with some splashes of color.

And the layout uses some Schoolhouse designer series paper along with the Stamp a Bag stamp set.

If you think the project look like fun and would like to try out our monthly stamp club (or the Virtual Club if you do not live close) contact me here for more details.
