Going Global

I wanted to pair the Going Places designer series paper with the Going Global stamp set for an upcoming stamp a stack card and this is what I came up with.

I stamped the globe image with Crumb Cake ink and then the sentiment over the top with Basic Black ink.  Then, I stamped the sentiment again on another piece of Very Vanilla and cut out the banner and attached it with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Supplies:
Going Global
Crumb Cake, Basic Black ink
Very Vanilla card stock
Going places dsp
Corrugated paper
designer series buttons
2" circle punch

Easy Gift Card Holders

Well, even though we don't need ideas for this Christmas anymore, I thought I would share this gift card holder I put together last minute.  I had some left over envelopes that Stampin' Up! used to see that fit 3"x 6" cards and thought I would make gift card holders that would fit into them.

First, I cut a 6"x 6" piece of card stock and scored it at 3".  Then I did my stamping and decorating on the front....

I had some leftover designer series paper from a year or two ago that I just loved and die cut some pieces uses the Project Life cards and labels framelits.  Before I added that piece to the inside of the card, I cut it down to 2 1/4" on the short side.  Then I used the tear and tape adhesive to attach it to the card stock.  Perfect pocket!

Remember if you don't have those retired envelopes laying around, you can make your own with the Envelope punch board or just use the pouch in an A2 size card.

Supplies:
Jolly Christmas
Smoky Slate, Lost Lagoon ink
Whisper White, Lost Lagoon, Smoky Slate card stock
note tag punch
basic rhinestones
Project Life cards and labels framelits
tear and tape adhesive

More Sky is the Limit

Another masculine birthday card share today using the Sky is the Limit (SAB 2016) stamp set.  It pairs perfectly with the Shine On specialty paper since one of the patterns has silver clouds.

I made two versions of the card and the only differences are that I stamped clouds on the background of one of them and not the other and changed the direction of the linen thread.

Supplies:
Sky is the Limit (SAB 2016)
Basic Black, Lost Lagoon ink
Whisper White, Lost Lagoon card stock
Shine On specialty paper

Hello

I just love the colors in the Wildflower Fields Designer Series paper pack in the Sale-a-bration 2016 catalog although not all the patterns are my favorite.  The pattern I used below is probably my favorite (and remember you can get this one for free with a $50 purchase during Sale-a-bration starting January 5th!).

I also used the stamp set called Hello which is in the same Sale-a-bration catalog!!  I cut out the little party hats with the paper snips and added them with Stampin' dimensionals.

Supplies:
Hello (SAB 2016)
Lost Lagoon, Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey ink
Crumb Cake, Whisper White card stock

Rejoice

Merry Christmas!  I hope you all have a wonderful day with family and friends as you celebrate this wonderful day.

I have another sneak peek product on my card today although the stamp sets and embossing folder are in the Holiday catalog.

I used the Wink of Stella glitter brush on my trees on the embossing folder, the tree images on my stamped piece and also added it to my snowflake stamp and used it as ink that way.  It is like an aquapainter that has the liquid glitter already inside and I just love it! No mess!!!

Supplies:
Versatile Christmas, Happy Scenes
Soft Suede ink
Wink of Stella glitter brush
Soft Suede, Pink Pirouette card stock
gold bakers twine
Woodland folder

Last Minute Gift Idea

For those of you late shoppers, I wanted to share a great idea for a last minute gift.  The Paper Pumpkin kits can be purchased as a 1 month, 3 month, 6 month or 12 month subscription right here or here.  They contain precut pieces, stamps, ink, adhesive and directions to make a fun project every month.  The kits are always a surprise until they arrive, we don't get to see them in advance - that is part of the fun too!

So, if you have someone on your list that might enjoy some monthly crafting fun make sure to start a gift subscription right here!

The card I am sharing today uses all sneak peek Occasions products with the exception of the ink and card stock.  The designer series paper is from the It's my Party dsp stack, the stamps are from the Party wishes stamp set and the balloons are punched from the Balloon Bouquet punch.

I really like the patterns in the designer series paper stack - Basic Black, Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo, Mint Macaroon, Sahara Sand and Whisper White.  It will be fun to use all the patterns!

Happy 12!

Today my middle child turns 12.  Sigh!  They aren't supposed to get older on me but I guess it is inevitable.  He was just telling me a week or two ago that we never do anything fun for his birthday - his brother got to go to a trampoline place and his sister went bowling for their last birthdays.  He is probably right, he hasn't wanted to do a big party for awhile and with a birthday close to Christmas I suppose it is overshadowed a little bit sometimes.  NOT this year!  The lucky boy gets to attend what I think brings the amount of excitement to him as a Taylor Swift concert brings for his sister...

He gets to go to a NDSU Bison football game, the semi final game that will determine if they get to play for their 5th National Championship!  I think he will be just a little excited :)

Well, on to his card...It is another Sale-a-bration sneak peek using the Sky is the Limit stamp set  and the Large Numbers Framelits (in the Occasions catalog).  I used the negative portion of the numbers on this card...

Supplies:
Sky is the Limit (SAB 2016)

The Great Hunter

My oldest son went on his second deer hunt this fall and it was again a successful (and quick) hunt.  We are fortunate to live along the river and have some nice places to look for deer right in our backyard.

I didn't get as many pictures this year as I did for his first one a year before so I made this layout a one photo page.

I stamped some evergreens from the Lovely as a Tree stamp set and added some English Garden designer series paper, burlap ribbon and some elements from a Project Life collection.

Supplies:
Lovely As a Tree
Early Espresso ink
Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie card stock
burlap ribbon
English Garden dsp
wooden essentials elements
cotton ribbon
Project Life accessories (epoxy circles)
linen thread
