Happy 14th!

A week ago my oldest child turned 14 and this is the card I put together for him.  It uses the Number of Years and the Large Numbers framelits along with the new Layering Squares framelits.

I added some Holiday Fancy Foil vellum over the top of Basic Black card stock and then added my layers of squares.  I like the scalloped edge as an option for the layers.

I added a little pocket for a gift card on the inside and used the BYOP stamp set to add a few phrases as well.

Supplies:
BYOP, Number of Years
Whisper White, Basic Black, Night of Navy card stock
Holiday Fancy Foil Vellum
Corrugated paper
candy dots
Layering Squares framelits, Large Number framelits

I Think You're Great

The kids finished school for the year this week and I always give their teachers a little something to say thank you for a great year.  For the female teachers, I put together a set of 5 or 6 cards in a box and decorate it a little bit.

For the male teachers, I like to do something different so this year I purchased some gift cards from the Dairy Queen and made some cards to put them in.

The I Think You're Great stamp set and some designer series paper (Going Places and English Garden) did the trick for these two cards.

Supplies:
I Think You're Great
Lost Lagoon Ink
Whisper White, Lost Lagoon, Mossy Meadow, Soft Suede card stock
2" circle punch
English Garden and Going Places designer series paper

May Paper Pumpkin

I really liked the die cuts and corrugated paper in this month's Paper Pumpkin kit.  The cards I put together below are just variations on the suggested ideas that are shown in the kit.

I did a little stamping on the inside of a couple of the cards as well that I didn't take pictures of, but most of the time I leave the inside of my cards blank.

I saved a couple of the pieces to do something different with at a later time (when there is a little more time in my day to experiment!).  When the alternative ideas are created I will share them as well :)

Mother's Day Card

While Mother's Day has already passed I thought I would still share this card with you since you could easily add a different sentiment to the middle of it.

For accents I added some basic rhinestones and a tea lace paper doily.

Joy

Today I have a Christmas scrapbook page that is a few years old already although I hadn't put it together until recently.  For some reason I don't seem to take a lot of pictures when we get together for Christmas so there aren't a lot of Christmas pages in our scrapbook albums.

This one uses some different Project Life collections including the Seasonal Snapshot collections.  Even though most of my pictures fit inside the pockets perfectly, I like to mat them so I usually cut the pictures down just a little bit and add card stock behind them.

You might be able to see that I added some candy dots to the designer series paper in one of the pockets above.  I tried to add a little dimension to all the pockets in the middle row.

Supplies:
Project Life pocket pages
Project Life seasonal snapshot and other collections
Lost Lagoon, Basic Black, Whisper White card stock
Merry Moments dsp

Celebrate You

Today I have a little box to share with you, I have shown you one similar to this before and it is a modified version of Erica Cerwin's design that you can find here.

I used Rich Razzleberry card stock for the base of the box and added some Corrugated paper around the top of the opening.

The sentiment comes from Suite Sayings and I punched it out with the Note Tag punch.

The Very Best

As I was using some of my retiring English Garden designer series paper, I decided to use a retiring stamp set as well - Everything Eleanor.  It is paired with a sentiment from Wild About Flowers.

Keeping with the color scheme of the designer series paper, I Night of Navy and Tip Top Taupe ink.  For the Tip Top Taupe layer, I stamped on scratch paper first to lighten the image.

I added a Tea lace paper doily and an In Color Blossom to complete the card.

Supplies:
Everything Eleanor, Wild about Flowers
Tip Top Taupe, Night of Navy ink
Whisper White, Night of Navy, Kraft card stock
Tea lace paper doily

World's Best

Well, I am still struggling to get posts out!  Even though the planting is done, there is lots of washing of equipment to do and we are shipping potatoes as well.  Then, add the baseball games in the evening and there goes my time.  Oh well, it will get better soon :)

For this card I used the World Traveler folder on some Smoky Slate card stock and then I used my Crumb Cake folder and rubbed it on the top of the embossing.

I just layered some circle punches and added them on top of the metallic doily to finish it off.

Supplies:
Going Global
Basic Black, Crumb Cake, Sahara Sand ink
Smoky Slate, Whisper White, Old Olive, Bermuda Bay card stock
World Traveler folder
circle punches
metallic doilies

Make a Wish

I wanted to use some of the confetti paper in the It's My Party designer series paper stack on a card and this is what came from that one day.  I cut a couple ovals with framelits and then stamped and punched out some little balloons with the Party Wishes stamp set and Party punch pack.

There is nothing too fancy about the card and it was fairly quick to put together.  It might be fun to use the upcoming confetti punch to add a little more fun it I try this type of design again.

Supplies:
Party wishes
Basic Black, Crushed Curry, Mint Macaron ink
Bermuda Bay, Whisper White card stock
It's My Party dsp
washi tape
ovals framelits
party punch pack

A Cup of Cheer

I am back!  Hopefully consistently :)  We finished planting potatoes which is awesome and will hopefully give me a little more time to create.  Sadly, my preorder goodies arrived last Monday and I didn't even get a chance to look in the box until yesterday!

On to the card for today....

I used some Color me irresistible specialty paper and a past Paper Pumpkin stamp set on this card pairing it with the Cups and Kettle Framelits and A Nice Cuppa stamp set.

There are a few little It's My Party enamel dots for accents as well.

Supplies:
A Nice Cuppa, Paper Pumpkin
Mint Macaron, Watermelon Wonder, Basic Gray, Whisper White card stock

You are So Kind

Another single layer card share today using the Watercolor Wings stamp set.

I chose to use Sahara Sand, Hello Honey, and Lost Lagoon inks on the butterfly layers and then I sponged some Soft Sky all around them.  The sponging is difficult to see in the pictures since it is pretty light.

Supplies:
Watercolor Wings
Lost Lagoon, Sahara Sand, Hello Honey, Soft Sky ink
sponges
Whisper White card stock
