Another June Paper Pumpkin Alternative Project

Yesterday I shared a scrapbook page I made using the June 2016 Paper Pumpkin kit, today I have an alternative card along with a card that follows the directions in the box.

I used just one of the cellophane banner bags on this card and added it to the card base with dimensionals behind the circle.  Next I decorated the envelope with some stamping and a couple strips of extra card stock.

The card below is the banner card that the kit has instructions for and I did find it difficult to photograph because of the glare.  The banner pieces get folded together and tied up so that you have to untie the bakers twine to see the banners message.

I am sure I will have some more samples to share with you soon!

I hope you enjoyed the projects I created with this months kit.  Make sure to get your own right here!

June Paper Pumpkin Alternative

For this month's Paper Pumpkin kit, I am going to share a couple alternative ideas before sharing the actual project the kit is intended for.  I chose to create a scrapbook page with the title "Love This Day" using the banners, stickers and stamps.

I used one of the card bases to accent my picture mat and added a couple 2015-2017 In Color doilies and a piece of Peekaboo Peach card stock.

The doilies, Peekaboo Peach card stock and the Mint Macaron 12 x 12 card stock are the only additions to the kit that I have used on this project.

Gift of Love

There are so many great patterns in the Serene Scenery designer series paper stack that I just have to try them all out!  I made two versions of this card using different patterns and the Gift of Love hostess stamp set.

My flowers are colored in with Blushing Bride and Wild Wasabi markers.

You Fill Me

On Friday I shared a card using the Jar of Love stamp set and Everyday jars framelits.  Today I have another sample using the same products but instead of using glassine paper for my jar, I used a piece of Serene Scenery designer series paper that looks like water.

I added other patterns of the same designer series paper behind the jar and also stamped a strip of burlap to go over the middle of the jar behind the sentiment.

Supplies:
Jar of Love
Crumb Cake, Whisper White card stock
Crumb Cake ink
linen thread
Serene Scenery designer series paper

Jar for You

I just love the Jar of Love stamp set paired with its framelit set called Everyday Jars, the possibilities are endless!

I chose some Fruit Stand designer series paper for my background and then stamped the jar on some glassine paper and cut it out with the framelit.  Next came some leaves and flowers stamped and die cut and I also added another die cut jar behind the glassine one so the designer series paper didn't show through the glassine paper.  The second jar was cut from a piece of Serene Scenery designer series paper.

Supplies:
Jar of love
Peekaboo Peach, Pool Party, Basic Black ink
Dapper Denim, Whisper White card stock
glassine paper
Everyday jars framelits

Happiness

This card uses just one layer and lots of color.  I chose the Better Together stamp set and used colors in the Brights collection.

The party hats are all stamped in Rich Razzleberry as is the sentiment.  I chose Daffodil Delight, Real Red, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and Tempting Turquoise markers to color in the hats.

Another Happy Day

One thing I didn't mention in yesterday's post about the Oh Happy Day card kit was that there are several different sizes of cards that you can put together.

The smaller ones have some really fun folds and shapes...

The heart folds over the front on this one...

These have a little flap from the back that folds over the bottom to kind of close the card, like a book of matches.

Oh Happy Day!

I have a few cards to share that I made with the Oh Happy Day card kit last week and I will share some more tomorrow.  The kit contains all the pieces you need to make 20 cards, envelopes, stamp set, ink and some adhesive along with directions (although you can do your own thing as well).

I always have lots of pieces leftover after I make the cards probably because I make some of my own designs as well as doing a few that are as the designers intended.

The colors, patterns and shapes are fun to play with and it is always nice to have everything you need all in one kit!

Off to Middle School!

This layout showcases my daughter's fourth grade class on the last day of school this year.  They will be off to a new school in the fall. I chose a 12" x 12" piece of Dapper Denim card stock to start with and added some images from Playful backgrounds using the same color ink.

Then, I added a piece of designer series paper from the Fruit stand collection and some Swirly Scribbles die cuts.  The wording comes from the Watercolor Words and Layering Letters alphabet stamp sets.

The stars are leftovers from the May Paper Pumpkin kit.

Supplies:
Watercolor Words, Layering Letters alphabet
Dapper Denim ink
Dapper Denim, Peekaboo Peach, Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White card stock

Washi Birthday

I thought I would play with washi tape again on the card I am sharing with you today - that seems to be a theme this week although it wasn't planned that way!

I stamped my sentiment on some Whisper White card stock and then added some strips of Pop of Pink washi tape over the top of it.  Then I layered it onto a piece of Basic Black card stock.

My background is embossed with the Large polka dots folder and I added a little bit of Peekaboo Peach ruched ribbon for a little extra color.

Supplies:
Watercolor Words
Basic Black ink
Whisper White, Basic Black, Pear Pizzazz card stock
Pop of Pink washi tape

Shimmery Floral Affection

Today's card is another May 2016 Paper Pumpkin alternative idea.  I have used another of the Happy stickers from that kit.  My Sweet Sugarplum card stock layer has been embossed with of the little embossing folders in the Floral Affection collection and then I used the Wink of Stella glitter brush  to highlight some of the embossing.  That is pretty difficult to see in the pictures, but is much clearer in person.

There is some background stamping using the same color as the card stock and I added a strip of Pop of Pink washi tape.

Somehow the lighting on these three pictures changed a little so it looks like different pieces of card stock, but it is actually the same one - sorry about that!

Supplies:
Number of Years
Basic Black, Sweet Sugarplum ink
Sweet Sugarplum, Whisper White card stock
Wink of Stella glitter brush
basic pearls
Pop of pink washi tape

Sprinkles Punch

So far all of new the catalog projects I have shown you are using some of the pre-order items we as demonstrators had an opportunity to try out before the catalog went live.  I really haven't had a chance to play with the items I received last week - but hopefully soon!!

On this card I used the new Sprinkles punch on some Flirty Flamingo card stock and added a piece of Whisper White covered with layers of Playful Palette washi tape behind it.  I added some of the pieces that were punched out as decoration on the card itself as well.

Supplies:
Perfectly Wrapped
Sweet Sugarplum, Peekaboo Peach ink
Peekaboo Peach, Sweet Sugarplum, Flirty Flamingo, Whisper White card stock
Sprinkles punch
2" and 2 1/2" punches

Layering Ribbon

I was messing around with some of the new ruched ribbon on this card, just adding several strips across some Playful Palette designer series paper.  It might look better with some different colors...?

I added a little glitter with the Wink of Stella glitter brush under my sentiment and inside the heart.  There are some brush stroke images from the Painter's Palette stamp set on the card base, I used Dapper Denim ink on the same color card stock.

Supplies:
Painter's Palette, Layering Love
Dapper Denim, Flirty Flamingo ink

Dapper Denim, Very Vanilla, Sweet Sugarplum card stock

May Paper Pumpkin Alternative

I have a birthday card to share with you that uses quite a few elements from the May 2016 Paper Pumpkin kit.  The "happy" is a sticker, the birthday and arrow images are from that stamp set and the die cut and corrugated paper as well.

I punched out a few little balloons using Pool Party and leftover corrugated paper and added them with glue dots.

Supplies:
May 2016 Paper Pumpkin kit
Dapper Denim ink

Room in Your Heart

This card is a fairly quick and easy one that I have put into my Stamp a Stack rotation.  I will offer the participants the option of this card or one using greens if they choose to make a baby boy card.

The onsie is from the Something for Baby stamp set and the hearts and sentiment come from the Layering Love set in the new catalog.  I added some Playful Palette designer series paper as well.

Time of Year

The sentiment on this card comes from one of the Hostess stamp sets in the new catalog called Time of Year.  I stamped the image with Dapper Denim ink, one of the new 2016-2018 In Colors and added the same color of ruched ribbon behind it.

The specialty paper behind the sentiment comes from the Affectionately yours collection.

Supplies:

Dapper Denim ink
