Always

The Floral Boutique designer series paper was one that I hadn't purchased until recently.  For some reason, I wasn't that in to it I guess, but now that I have it I changed my mind!

For this card, it is paired with the hostess stamp set called Time of Year and some thick baker's twine that I separated.

Supplies:
Time of Year
Night of Navy ink
Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White, Early Espresso card stock

Love You

This card uses scraps again and if you follow my blog you will notice that I used another piece of this same pattern of designer series paper recently on another card.  Sometimes I use all the scraps from a piece of designer paper at one sitting and that happened this time...

My background is Tip Top Taupe card stock that was embossed with the Festive folder and then I added my scrap of designer series paper to the top of it.

A few strips of lace trim tied up with some linen thread, my sentiment and die cut complete the card.

Supplies:
Friendly Wishes
Watermelon Wonder ink
Very Vanilla, Watermelon Wonder, Tip Top Taupe card stock
Serene Scenery dsp
lace trim
linen thread
Sunshine Wishes framelits
Festive folder

Better Together

This is the last day to get in on some great online sale deals!  Click on the picture below to start your shopping :)

https://www.stampinup.com/ecweb/default.aspx

I really love the Playful Backgrounds stamp set and was centering my card on that before I really knew what I was going to come up with.  I found an already embossed piece of Smoky Slate card stock in my scrap pile and thought I would add that to the background for some textures.

I think I would like to play with different background colors if I recreated this card sometime, but they work for this one I think.  Pacific Point, Daffodil Delight, Bermuda Bay, Old Olive...

I added a little thick baker's twine to finish off the card.

Supplies:
Better Together, Playful Backgrounds, Watercolor Wash
Pacific Point, Daffodil Delight, Bermuda Bay, Old Olive ink
Whisper White, Smoky Slate, Bermuda Bay card stock
thick baker's twine

In My Thoughts

I have two different takes on the same sentiment for you today.  Each card uses the same two stamp sets - Rose Wonder and Kinda Eclectic.

For the first one, I added a piece of Serene Scenery designer series paper to the middle of my card base and added Early Espresso on either side of it that is popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Then I added a strip of Delightful Dijon card stock, burlap ribbon and my sentiment layer.

The second card showcases some By the Shore designer series paper and some randomly stamped leaves in the background.

I chose some Tip Top Taupe mini striped ribbon.

Supplies:
Rose Wonder, Kinda Eclectic
Early Espresso, wild Wasabi ink
Very Vanilla, Early Espresso, Night of Navy, Delightful Dijon card stock
burlap ribbon
Tip Top Taupe 5/8" mini striped ribbon

Here for You

Happy Thanksgiving!

The card I am sharing today doesn't have anything to do with Thanksgiving, but here it is anyway....

I started with a sponge brayer and Peekaboo Peach ink on some Whisper White card stock.  Then I added my images and colored in some of the flower.  Next, I added some glitter with the Wink of Stella clear glitter brush on the petals.

A little corrugated paper, linen thread and Serene Scenery designer series paper and the card was compete.

Basic Black, Peekaboo Peach, Wild Wasabi, Daffodil Delight, Pool Party ink

Just a Note

I had a piece or two left over from the Season of Gratitude Paper Pumpkin kit and cut down the textured piece to make a layer on this card.  I wrapped it with gold metallic thread before adding it to my card base with Stampin' Dimensionals.

The background and sentiment are from the Flourishing Phrases stamp set and are stamped with Bermuda Bay ink.

Joy of Christmas Boxes

I was playing around with a little box idea one day and came up with these Christmas themed boxes using the Candy Cane Lane specialty paper and Christmas Magic stamp set.

Each box measures 4" x 5" on the inside and has 1" sides.  I used Tip Top Taupe  and Real Red for the boxes and coordinating decorations.

On the first one, I strung some mini jingle bells on baker's twine in on corner of the stamped piece.

On the second one I added some thick baker's twine behind the stamped piece and some Metallic enamel shapes as an accent.

These would work for fun little gift items or gift cards.

Supplies:
Christmas Magic
Basic Black, Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, Pumpkin Pie ink and markers
Real Red, Whisper White, Basic Black, Tip Top Taupe card stock
Tear and Tape adhesive
paper trimmer
mini jingle bells
metallic enamel shapes
Candy Cane Lane specialty paper

Enjoy the Little Things

Well, if things work out like I hope they do in a few hours I will be really enjoying the little things - a weekend scrapbooking retreat with lots of my great friends!  Since I am writing this post a week early, my hope is that we won't be still digging potatoes so I can get to the retreat!  I am in need of some down time and friends, it has been a long haul this harvest season.

These notebooks were really easy to dress up since they already had the cute chevron covers.  I textured some Whisper White card stock with the Cable Knit folder and stamped my sentiments, added some mats and some ruched ribbon and I had some fun little notebooks ready to go.

Supplies:
Layering Love
Dapper Denim, Emerald Envy ink
Whisper White, Basic Black, Tip Top Taupe card stock
ruched ribbon

Welcome Baby

I have been in need of a few baby gifts lately and thought I would put together a Project Life album for one of them to fill in with pictures and journaling.  I don't have pictures of the inside, but I added lots of great cards from the Hello Baby Boy card collection.

I used a 6" x 8" album and decorated the cover using the same Project Life collection.
There are only a few pieces of card stock and some designer buttons that were added in addition to the Project Life collection.

Supplies:
Hello Baby Boy Project Life card collection and accessories kit
Pool Party, Lost Lagoon card stock
6" x 8" Project Life album
Variety pack 6" x 8" Project Life photo pocket pages

Life Together

I was playing with a couple different backgrounds on this wedding card that are fairly similar but one is stamped and the other is designer series paper.  I chose the hardwood stamp for one, using Crumb Cake ink on the same color card stock before I stamped the flourish image with Early Espresso.

On the other card, I used Serene Scenery designer series paper as the background for the flourish.  Both cards use a sentiment from Better Together.

Supplies:
Better Together, Flourishing Phrases, Hardwood
Early Espresso, Crumb Cake ink
Pool Party, Whisper White, Crumb Cake card stock

November Stamp Club projects

I am a little slow in showing you my November Stamp Club projects, it has been a really busy month so far already trying to keep harvesting the crops (our season is really late because of way too much rain this summer and it is MUDDY in every field) before the snow flies.

For the layout, I chose to use the Candy Cane Lane designer series paper and added a little Christmas trinket embellishment.

The first card uses the Work of Art stamp set and some Blooms and Bliss designer series paper.  There is also some texture made with the Large Polka dots folder.

Finally, I used some Floral Boutique designer series paper and the Thankful Thoughts stamp set on this card, adding a little burlap ribbon and white perfect accents to complete it.

Supplies:
Work of Art, Thankful Thoughts
Night of Navy, Peekaboo Peach, Sweet Sugarplum, Flirty Flamingo, Sahara Sand, Early Espresso ink
Whisper White, Real Red, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Sahara Sand, Delightful Dijon, Night of Navy card stock
Large polka dots folder
perfect white accents
glitter ribbon

Jars of Goodness

Before I talk about my project for the day I first want to say thank you to any Veterans or those who are currently serving our country that might be reading this blog post.  Thank you for your service and sacrifices to keep us safe.

I make a few different kinds of jelly or jam in the summer and thought it would be fun to dress up some of the jars that I give away.  The Homemade for you and Jar of Love stamp sets seemed like a great idea for this project.

Of course I had to pair the Everyday Jars framelits with the Jar of Love stamp set too :)

I stamped the "delish" image and then cut it down a little bit on the top jar, added some designer series paper and my jar pieces to the top along with some ribbon and a designer button around the ring.

For the second jar, I also added a die cut jar to the top, but instead of using the ring, I wrapped some designer series paper around the top and secured it with baker's twine.

Supplies:
Jar of Love, Homemade for You
Basic Black, Smoky Slate, Watermelon Wonder ink
Whisper White, Watermelon Wonder card stock
baker's twine
designer buttons
 ruched ribbon
