Love You Lots

Well, it is a little early for Valentine's Day, but I have a sneak peek of some more products from the Occasions catalog and the end result is a Love card...

I cut out the middle piece with the So Detailed Thinlits dies and added some Cherry Cobbler card stock behind it with dimensionals.  Then I stamped the images above and below as well as the sentiment with Cherry Cobbler ink.

To finish it off, I added a Sending Love embellishment with some glue dots.

December Paper Pumpkin Alternative #1

This month, the Paper Pumpkin kit was a mini album and it had the cutest clear pages with designs and saying on them to add in the album in different places...Well, my daughter got the album so I just took a few of the pages and made some alternative projects.  Today I will share a 12 x 12 scrapbook layout and tomorrow I will have some cards to share with you.

I took a piece of Basic Gray card stock as my background and added some Tasty Treats specialty designer series paper in the background before adding pieces of the Paper Pumpkin kit.

As accents, I also used some of the new lace doilies (one cut in two pieces) and a couple of the Sending Love embellishments (you will love these!).

Succulent Garden

I made this card box to use as a Christmas gift and filled it with some cards of various occasions.  It is a metal box (maybe called a recipe box?) and I covered it with the Succulent Garden designer series paper from the Occasions catalog.

I have used these boxes a few times over the years and at one point made a template for cutting out the handle holes on the top of the box - that sure makes putting the designer series paper on a lot faster!

I added some Sweet Sugarplum ruched ribbon and some Old Olive cotton ribbon around the box, added some designer buttons to cover up where the ribbon ended and then did a little decorating on the front with the Blooms and Wishes stamp set.

Supplies:
Blooms and Wishes
Sweet Sugarplum ink
Whisper White, Sweet Sugarplum card stock
2" and 2 1/2" circle punches
tea paper lace doily
enamel dots
designer buttons
ruched ribbon
cotton ribbon
Succulent Garden dsp
tear and tape adhesive

There are a few different stamp sets in the Occasions catalog that are just sentiments and I have chosen to use one of them on the card today paired with another Sale-a-bration stamp set.  The sentiment set is called Sending Thoughts and the Sale-a-bration set is called Avant Garden.

I again used some of the Cupcakes and Carousels designer series paper in the background - I promised I will share some of the other designer series papers too!  :)

I added a little bow with some linen thread to the flower stem using liquid glue.

The First Time

Today's card is another sneak peek using some masculine elements.  I chose the Urban Underground specialty paper as an accent and embossed some Crumb Cake card stock with the Hexagons dynamic textured impressions folder and sponged it with Soft Suede ink.  The embossing folder is a thick one similar to the Cable Knit folder in the Holiday catalog and leaves a great impression.

The stamp set is called Nailed it and there is a coordinating framelits set that goes along with it.  I colored the saw blade in with the Wink of Stella glitter brush.

Supplies:
Nailed it
Basic Black, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede ink
Wink of Stella glitter brush
Crumb Cake, Basic Black, Very Vanilla card stock
Hexagons dynamic textured folder
Urban Underground specialty paper

There area also some bird images, grass, a sun and a light beam along with three other sentiments.

Do It All

This week will be one filled with sneak peeks from the Occasions and Sale-a-bration catalogs that will be available in January.  I would have shared them sooner, but some bad weather and blizzards delayed my preorder shipment by a week!  The wait was terrible, lol!

The first one uses a stamp set from the Sale-a-bration catalog called Designer Tee and it will coordinate with a stamp set and framelits set in the Occasions catalog as well.

I colored the cake image in with So Saffron and Bermuda Bay makers and added two designs from the Cupcakes and Carousels designer series paper pack behind the sentiment layers.

Supplies:

Flowers for You

Once in awhile I make some blank cards to either add a sentiment to later or just leave blank since I have orders for them occasionally.  This one uses the Stitched shapes framelits (are you sick of me using them yet?!) and the Number of Years stamp set.

I used a retired embossing folder for the background on Crumb Cake card stock and then added a strip of This Christmas specialty paper.  The linen thread is wrapped around the Crumb Cake piece and attached in the back with washi tape.

Supplies:
Number of Years
Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler ink
Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler card stock
This Christmas specialty paper

November Paper Pumpkin

I really loved last month's Paper Pumpkin kit, the only thing that would have made it better...?  Full sized cards instead of the smaller ones.  So I improvised and made them into 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" gift card holders.

The picture above is the original card idea for which the kit was intended.  Below is the alternative version...

I put tear and tape adhesive on three sides of the back of the front piece so that a gift card could be placed in the top.

The background piece was embossed with the Pine Boughs folder before I added gift card holder piece.

Supplies:
November 2016 Paper Pumpkin kit
Dapper Denim card stock
Pine Bough folder
tear and tape adhesive

Remember, you can sign up for a monthly Paper Pumpkin kit at any time or give them as gifts!  Just go here to get started!
