Balloon Congratulations

I have a couple more graduation cards to share with you today using the Balloon Celebrations stamp set and the Cupcakes and Carousels embellishment kit.  There is just a slight variation between the two cards - the ink color and images that are not balloons. I used stars and Perfect Plum ink on the one on the left and the swirls and Wisteria Wonder ink on the right.

The cards could be used for any sort of occasion by changing the sentiment or another reason to congratulate as well.  I added a little bow from the Cupcakes and Carousels embellishment kit and a glitter enamel dot as accents.

Supplies:
Balloon Celebration
So Saffron, Pool Party, Soft Sky, Wisteria Wonder, Perfect Plum ink
Whisper White, Pool Party card stock

Life is Better

Daisies are one of my favorite flowers so I really love the new Delightful Daisy designer series paper.  I chose to add two layers of the same pattern on the front of this card matting one of them on Daffodil Delight card stock.

I punched out two daisies with the new punch and layered them with dimensionals and added a 1/2" circle in the middle.  In addition there is some 3/8" metallic ribbon behind the daisy and some glitter enamel dots on the card to add some dimension and texture.

Supplies:
Just Add Text
Night of Navy ink
Whisper White, Daffodil Delight card stock
3/8" metallic ribbon
daisy punch
1/2" circle punch
glitter enamel dots

More Graduation!

I think banners are about the hardest thing for me to photograph!  Especially if they are kind of large like these are...A customer asked me to make some banners for a family member's graduation this spring and gave me some ideas for colors and materials.

These are the ones I came up with, each banner has the same background burlap, but the designs are a little different.

On the one below, I had to free hand the card stock layer that went over the burlap because I didn't have a die that would work to cut them out.

I added layers and textures to each banner piece as well as accessories and lots of different ribbon tied between all of the pieces.

I chose to use the Decorative Dots and Large Polka Dots embossing folders, the Top note die, circles framelits, Stitched Shapes framelits and some retired alphabet dies.

Lots of buttons, pearls, doilies, etc...

I attached the card stock to the burlap with Velcro because I knew it would be strong and that way the banner pieces could maybe be recycled as well.

This photo shows the textures a little better...

I always have fun putting together projects for customers like this or even things totally different!

Happy Graduation

I am back at least temporarily!  We have been planting potatoes so my seed cutting job has kept me away from blogging and creating lately and I missed the whole week last week.  Hopefully I can be back for good, but we will see...

I have a couple different styles of the same card to share with you today.  We have quite a few graduation celebrations to attend this year so I thought I should get some cards made!  I chose to use the Eastern Medallion thinlits as the focus and added some Eastern Palace Specialty paper on the first one...

The sentiment is from Celebrate today and I added a designer button to the center of the medallion as well.

The second card uses the banner stamp in the Celebrate Today stamp set as well as the sentiment.  I also added some metallic enamel shapes to add a little color and texture.

The purple on this card is the new In Color called Fresh Fig...

Supplies:
Celebrate Today
Dapper Denim, Basic Gray ink

I was in the mood to use the daisy stamp in the Helping Me Grow stamp set the other day and decided to pair it with the Sending Thoughts stamp set and some pretty designer series paper.

I added a little linen thread behind the sentiment for some texture as well.

Supplies:
Helping Me Grow, Sending Thoughts
Tip Top Taupe Crushed Curry, Wild Wasabi ink and markers
decorative label punch

Tranquil Tulips

I am able to share some sneak peek products with you today!  For my Mother's Day cards I decided to use the new hostess stamp set called Tranquil Tulips.  There is some two step stamping on the tulip petals.

For the first card, I chose some Color Theory designer series paper for the background layered onto Pool Party card stock and added my sentiment on a new punch called Pretty Label.  The accents are called glitter enamel dots and I already love those!

On the second card, I used the same stamp set and glitter enamel dots but different colors for some of the tulips.  Then I cut a doily in two and added the halves behind the Very Vanilla layer that is popped up with dimensionals.

You also see a couple of the new In Colors on these cards - Berry Burst (this is the card base color as well as the darkest pink ink) and Powder pink (the mat for the tulips on the first card and the lighter ink on the tulips on the second card).

Supplies:
Crazy about you, Tranquil Tulips (hostess)
Berry Burst, Sweet Sugarplum, Powder Pink, Blushing Bride, So Saffron, Crushed Curry, Wild Wasabi ink
Berry Burst, Powder Pink, Very Vanilla, Pool Party card stock
doilies

Thank You Teacher

I can't believe it is already time to think about end of year teacher gifts again!  My kids have a countdown going of course, but I am not sure exactly how many days it is until they are done :)

I put together some fun gift card holders for some of the teachers using the Tasty Treats specialty paper and the stamp set from the April 2017 paper pumpkin kit.

I took a 4 1/2" x 6" piece of specialty paper and scored it at 1/2" on  the 4 1/2" side and at 2 3/4" and 5 1/2" on the 6" side and then made the pouch using tear and tape adhesive.

Inside is a piece of card stock with a gift card attached and some ribbon added to the end so it can be pulled out of the pouch easily.

Supplies:
Tasty Treats specialty designer series paper
April 2017 Paper Pumpkin kit (stamp set)
Pool Party, Early Espresso ink
Whisper White, Tip Top Taupe card stock
3/8" metallic ribbon (SAB 2017)
tear and tape adhesive
decorative label punch

April 2017 Paper Pumpkin alternative

As promised, here is an alternative idea for your Paper Pumpkin kit!  I cut down one of the embossed pieces of watercolor paper after I added my pencils and water and used that on one corner of the photo mat.

The title piece is the front of one of the envelopes with along with my stamped words...and the rest of the elements with the exception of the photo mat (Daffodil Delight) and the 12" 12" card stock (Tempting Turquoise) are also from the kit.

Those glittery plastic flowers are super fun to play with!

Don't forget, you can sign up for Paper Pumpkin anytime (and can also suspend or cancel when you choose).  Just go here for more details.

April Paper Pumpkin Kit Cards

The April Paper Pumpkin kit had some fun elements (and a free gift from Sara of watercolor pencils) to play with on some cards.  The envelopes were even fun to cut up and use :)

These cards were created using the items in the kit (along with a cut up envelope) and there were enough pieces to make 4 more cards and some extra stuff.  I will have an alternate project idea for you tomorrow...

As always, after I had time to play a little bit with the kit, I let my daughter put together some cards too.  She really loved using the watercolor pencils!

May Stamp Club Projects

May's Stamp Club projects all use the new catalog preview products I mentioned yesterday.  They are again listed at the bottom of the post, there are two bundles you could choose from and I have posted the larger one below.

The layout uses the Eastern Palace specialty paper, Eastern Beauty, Eastern Gold vinyl sticker, Eastern Medallions thinlits and some extra card stock.

Both of the cards use the Eastern Palace specialty paper and some new In color inks called Fresh Fig and Tranquil Tide.

The second card has a gate fold and belly band and the stamp set I chose for that one is BYOP.  Aren't those little tassels cute?

We always have room for more stampers if these project look fun and you would like to try out either my monthly stamp club or my virtual one.  Just e-mail me for more information!
