TSSC256

I am sneaking in at the last minute with Mary Jo's sketch challenge this week!

I layered the Quint-Essential flower stamp image using the 2 3/8" scallop circle, 1 3/4" scallop circle and 1" circle punches along with some dimensionals to do that.

I added a sentiment from the Itty Bitty Banners stamp set and some dsp from the Patio Party collection.

Colors:
Card stock - Crumb Cake, Island Indigo and Whisper White
Ink - Island Indigo, Raspberry Ripple and Crumb Cake
Chevron folder

Happy Easter

Happy Easter to you!  I hope you all have time together with family and friends to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ today.

I don't typically make a lot of Easter projects and thought I would share a cute idea from a fellow Treasure Hunt participant and also a fellow Creative Crew Girl for our UStamp with Dawn and Friends sessions, Melissa Banbury.

Adorable isn't it?

Yesterday I went to the annual Easter Carnival with my daughter and her friend, Connor, (and his mom).  They had a great time playing games and gathering eggs even though they didn't win prizes.

On Friday the kids decorated some eggs and the colors were getting pretty interesting when they had to dip the eggs in every color!

Another Easter Carnival picture of Maddie and my nieces - Claire, Greta and Nora making friends with the Easter Bunny.

Masculine Waterfall

I have never tried to put one of these cards together before, but it was a lot easier than I thought it would be!

The stamp set I used is called By the Tide (129120)and is in the Spring Mini catalog.

I chose Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue and Crumb Cake along with Whisper white for my card stock and the ink colors coordinate.

By Land

The stamp set I used for this tractor is a very retired one I think it is called By Land, but I had to save it for my boys :)

The background is Daffodil Delight embossed with the Honeycomb folder and I added a strip of Basic Black behind the tractor image (which also has a Basic Gray mat).  The sentiment is from Wacky Wishes and is stamped in Garden Green.  For the John Deere themed colors on the tractor, I used Garden Green, Basic Black and Daffodil Delight markers.

This was a fun project to put together and would work for lots of different sentiments.  There are a few more projects to show you in the next few weeks - stay tuned :)

Your Kindness

I always seem to want to sponge a blue sky and green grass when I stamp this image, right now it would be wonderful to see that outside instead of all this snow!

I stamped the trees with Early Espresso and used Bashful Blue and Wild Wasabi to sponge the sky and grass.

The card on the left has a Cherry Cobbler background embossed with the Fancy Fan folder and the one on the right uses a Bashful Blue background embossed with the Cloudy Day folder.

Swap card

This is one of the cards I used for our swaps at the Scrapbooking retreat at Park River Bible Camp a short time ago.

I left a sentiment off so that the person who used the card could decide the occasion.

The inside is pretty simple too with just a textured dress and ribbon.

Supplies:
Dress up framelits
Pop 'n cuts card base
Pop 'n cuts dress form
Lacy brocade folder
Perfect Polka dots folder
white gel pen
Whisper White, Island Indigo and Soft Suede card stock
Sycamore Street dsp
in color designer brads
Calypso Coral ruffled ribbon

Easter Treat Pouch

The Late Night Stampers challenge this week is to make a treat holder or place setting.  After thinking about it for awhile I decided I wanted to use the Pop 'n Cuts card base somehow as a treat holder and this is what I came up with.

I cut the base out of some Polka Dot Parade dsp and scored it at 5" and 6" from the side with the slits in it.

Then, I cut a piece of Whisper White card stock - 3" x 6 1/4" and scored it at 1" on all sides to make the little box inside.

I added a few too many jelly beans to the inside of the cello bag because it doesn't want to sit up straight, LOL!

The little box is attached to the base with glue dots and I used my crop o dile to make a hole in the top of the closed base to add some ribbon to tie it up.

The eggs are cut using the ovals collection framelits and I stamped the card stock with the Distressed Dots and Hello Doily stamp sets before I cut them.

Hope you come over and play along this week!

Serene Sympathy

This is another "scrap" card that I put together with the Serene Silhouettes stamp set.  I used Crumb Cake, Soft Suede and So Saffron as my stamped panel colors and the background is Baja Breeze.

The sentiment is stamped in Crumb Cake and comes from the Loving Thoughts stamp set.  I think I might play around a little with this one possibly texturing the background or adding a background stamp.

Buttterfly birthday

I had made this card for a challenge last week and didn't get it posted so I thought I would share it anyway.  It was for Mary Jo's sketch challenge...

I used some Print Poetry dsp for one layer and the smaller butterfly.  The larger butterfly is cut from First Edition specialty paper and I put some Midnight Muse on the edges with a marker.

Supplies:
Sassy Salutations
Gumball Green, Midnight Muse classic ink
Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla card stock
Print Poetry dsp
Beautiful Butterflies die
Basic pearls

Hey There Friend!

So on Wednesday, I found this little box in my mailbox - woo hoo!

I had to play right away :)  I added only a couple small pieces of card stock, delicate details lace tape, white gel pen and some Tempting Turquoise ink to what came in the kit and didn't alter the design very much this time.

The strip above is Pumpkin Pie..

and this one is Real Red...

and this is the one with the white gel pen and delicate details lace tape.  As I said, not a lot of altering this time, but so quick and fun to put together!

I had to do one exactly like the design too, LOL! with the exception of the Tempting Turquoise ink on the sentiment.

Bright Scallops

Another scrap card to share today.  The scallop squares and pieces of dsp were leftover from the baby canvas project I shared with you a couple of days ago.

I used Polka Dot Parade and International Bazaar dsp, added some 5/8" Real Red grosgrain ribbon, a button with some linen thread tied in it and my sentiment from Pursuit of Happiness.

The black background is embossed with the Honeycomb folder although it is hard to see in this picture.

More Best of Flowers

Here are a couple more cards I made with the pile of sentiments I found the other day.  I have used the Best of Flowers set in the background and the plant image from Just Believe on the side.

The ribbon is retired and on the top card I had a scrap of Naturals composition specialty paper that I added behind the sentiment.

Silhouettes of Happiness

For some reason, I had a bunch of labels die cut and stamped with this sentiment from Pursuit of Happiness.  In the next week or so you might see a lot of different cards I made trying to use them up!

This one uses the Sycamore Street designer series paper (Sale-a-bration freebie) and also some of the great free ribbon that you can also get during Sale-a-bration (don't miss out, it ends on March 22nd!!)

I added an image from Serene Silhouettes to my Crumb Cake base with Early Espresso ink to finish the card.

Fill your heart with happy

A friend asked me to make her a baby canvas similar to some other ones I have made in the past, but this time she wanted a name on it.

It turned out quite a bit different, but hope she still likes it!!  The letters come from a retired die set called serif essentials alphabet.

I used the Baby Firsts and Cuddles & Kisses stamp sets along with Polka Dot Parade and International Bazaar designer series papers.

Some retired ribbon, delicate details lace tape, designer builder brad and buttons round out the embellishments.

I made a card to go along with it as well in the same theme.
