Today I wanted to get away from the Paper Pumpkin posts and show you a home décor piece I put together recently using the Harvest Meadow Suite collection. 

I began with a piece of distressed wood that I purchased at a craft store and began adding die cut pieces made using the Harvest Dies.  The flowers were stamped first with Memento Black ink before being cut out and colored with Stampin' Write markers.

I printed the sentiment on some Crumb Cake card stock and then die cut it with the Scalloped Contours dies. The layer beneath it is cut with the same set.

October Paper Pumpkin Alternative Layout

While I showed you some alternative card ideas for the October Paper Pumpkin kit yesterday, today I have a scrapbook layout idea to share with you.  Again, the first picture is how the creator of the kit designed the cards in the kit to look...

The full picture of the layout wanted to blur on me a little due to the shimmer throughout the background paper.  It is easier to see on the close up...

I used lot so pieces from the kit on the layout, but the background is a piece of Peaceful Place designer series paper which coordinates well with the kit.

October Paper Pumpkin Card Ideas

When I sat down to put together my September kit (I was quite a ways behind due to harvest), I also put together the October kit.  In the first picture below you will see the cards as they were designed.

I put together a few more using pieces of the kit along with different card stock and another stamp set.  Below, the card on the right has a piece of Smoky Slate card stock that has been embossed with the Star-crossed embossing folder.

I used the Peaceful Cabin stamp set on one of the card below and near the end of the post you can see that there is also some coordinating designer series paper available on the website called Peaceful Place.

The two die cuts on the cards above were made using the

September Paper Pumpkin Layout Idea

As I mentioned yesterday, the September Paper Pumpkin kit for meant to create little boxes like the picture below.  I showed you a few card ideas I came up with in the post yesterday and today I have a scrapbook layout idea for you as well.

I chose a piece of 12" x 12" Evergreen Elegance for my background and added some designer series paper from a collection called Eden's Garden which is a sneak peek product for you.  The collection will be available November 2nd...

I used two different designs from the collection and then added some negative leaf pieces that I cut down from a full sheet and added the veins of the leaves with stamps.  

My plan for this layout is to use it for one of my high school age children's class pictures for this year.

September Paper Pumpkin Alternative Cards

The September Paper Pumpkin kit was full of pieces for cute little gift boxes like the one shown in the first picture below. There were enough pieces to make 12 of these cuties in 4 different colors...

I only made one box and chose to do some other things 

with the pieces...

The top two cards are made using the negative part of the piece of paper that had leaves to pop out of. I cut down the sheet for the one on the left and added it to the card stock, then I stamped the veins of the leaves using the stamp set included in the kit.  For the one on the right, I used the same negative piece and sponged Crushed Curry, Cinnamon Cider and Soft Succulent ink before stamping the veins on the leaves.

Next, I cut apart some of the boxes and used a few other pieces in the kit to put the next two cards together, to be honest, these are my least favorite of the six alternative cards that I created...

Finally, I stamped the leaves and veins on card stock along with a sentiment creating two single layer cards that are very simple.

I wanted to put together a few feminine cards using the Hat's Off Bundle and put together the Hand Penned designer series paper and retired Love You Always specialty paper to do so.  

I stamped the hat image on the Hand Penned designer series paper and then used the die to cut it out and add the embossed stitching (the die both cuts and embosses). The sentiment is from the In Your Words stamp set from the recent Sale-a-bration.

Peace Joy Love

This is about the time of year that I start making a few Christmas cards and I recently put together a few of these using the Stitched Triangles dies for the sentiment.  The card is mostly made up of layers and Stampin' Dimensionals...

Contours Birthday

A few weeks ago one of my nieces had a birthday and this is the card I put together for her using the Color and Contour Bundle. I had to add a little sparkle for her so I used a strip of the Be Dazzling 6 x 6 specialty paper from Sale-a-bration and some Fine Art ribbon.

The layers are die cut using the Scalloped contours dies and the designer paper in the background is from the hostess set called Pattern Party.  The speckles in the background and the flower image are stamped with the Color and Contour stamp set and the sentiment is from the Turtle and Friends set.
