Last Chance List, New and Retiring Colors

This is the year when Stampin' Up! refreshes our colors. We have returning favorites along with new colors and we have to say goodbye to some we have enjoyed using for a long time. The 2021-2023 In Colors will be retiring - Polished Pink, Pale Papaya, Evening Evergreen, and Soft Succulent. More colors that will be retiring are Mango Medley, Pacific Point, So Saffron, Merry Merlot, Soft Suede, Bermuda Bay, Sahara Sand, Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz, Mint Macaron and Rich Razzleberry.

These colors will be available while supplies last so if you have favorites in the mix, don't wait too long to purchase extras.

Abigail Rose Sympathy

For this card, I did some color on color and coordinating designer series paper for my layers. The card base and embossed layer are both Pool Party and the two layers of designer series paper are from the Abigail Rose collection.

The embossed layer was created using the In the Clouds folder and I used the Something Fancy stamp set for the sentiment.

Authentic You

I was trying to figure out some ways to use the Brushed Metallic paper and this card is one of them that I came up with. It is paired with the Legendary Ride Suite and the All That dies.

I die cut the motorcycle pieces using Basic Black card stock and Silver Foil paper. The "Celebrate" is from the Framed Florets 

stamp set.

Radiating Stitches

One of the fun new Online Exclusive products is the Radiating Stitches dies. I have used them for 5 of the die cut pieces on this card, while the 6th die cut piece was made with the Layering Circles dies. I just love the way the layers fit together so perfectly!

The stamping was done with the Cup of Tea stamp set and Pool Party and Basic Gray ink.

My Friend

It has been quite awhile since I pulled out the Painted Poppies stamp set and made a card with it. I love how easy the images are to color in with either Stampin' Write markers or Stampin' Blends and for this image, I used Stampin' Write markers.

In the background, I have some Glimmer paper along with Balmy Blue and Magenta Madness card stock that were embossed with retired embossing folders. The flower layer was die cut using the Scalloped Contours dies and the sentiment was die cut with the Messages Die.

Color Refresh

Dainty Thank You

Here are a few more thank you cards I have put together, mostly using scraps and extra die cuts and embossed card stock that I had from other projects. These all use the Dainty Flowers designer series paper from Sale-a-bration and the Around the Bend dies.

The sentiments are from the Irresistible Blooms and Charming Sentiments stamp sets and the die cuts were made using the Picture This and Something Fancy dies.

The embossed layers were made with one of the Basics 3D embossing folders.

For accents, I added some retired Self-Adhesive Sequins.

Framed Birthday

I try to pull out stamp sets that I have not used in a while and make sure to make a few projects with them and I realized I had not used the Artistically Inked stamp set in a long time. This card is what came about when I paired it with the Framed Florets dies and Fitting Florets designer series paper.

I stamped some of the flower and leave images on the oval die cut using Balmy Blue, Pear Pizzazz, Pale Papaya, Polished Pink and Highland Heather ink. 

The background is Fresh Freesia card stock embossed with a Basics 3D embossing folder and it has a layer of Fitting Florets designer series paper on the left side. I added a few Loose Frosted Dots to complete the card.

Around the Bend

Since I am still working on the thank you cards for graduation gifts, you will probably be seeing quite a few thank you cards in the next few weeks. This is another one I put together using some scraps of die cuts I had from other projects.

In the background I have a piece of Coastal Cabana card stock embossed with a Basics 3D folder which is one of the online exclusive products. On top of that is a piece of Orchid Oasis card stock that was die cut using the Around the Bend dies. Next the So Saffron die cut was made with the Something Fancy dies and the sentiment layer was made with the Queen Bee dies.

Metal Plate Birthday

I have been using quite a few of my masculine birthday cards lately so I needed to put together a few more options. This card is one of them that I came up with recently.

The background is a piece of Perfectly Penciled designer series paper with a piece of Silver Foil that has been embossed with the Metal Plate 3D embossing folder on top. The popped-up die cuts are made with the All That dies and Tahitian Tide and Crumb Cake card stock. For the sentiment, I chose a stamp from the Artistically Inked stamp set.
