It's A Science

The It's A Science stamp set is a fun one to play around with, especially for birthday cards. This one has lots of stamping but is a quick and easy one to put together.

In the background I used Bermuda Bay and Pacific Point ink to stamp some images and the sentiment is also stamped with Bermuda Bay ink. The beakers are stamped with Memento Black ink and colored in with Stampin' Write Markers.

Layering Leaves

This card has several elements and layers but is really a pretty quick one to put together. When designing it, I thought about using Very Vanilla for the sentiment layer to keep it all one color but ended up adding some color with Boho Blue card stock.

The designer series paper layers are from the All About Autumn collection, which is retired, and I used the Timeworn Type embossing folder for on the Very Vanilla layer.

The sentiment and leaves are from the Layering Leaves stamp set, it is a very versatile set, and you also have the option to two step stamp your leaves with it if you choose.

Sincere Sympathy

This card came about from some leftover die cuts and scraps that I was trying to use up when I was at a retreat recently. By using the leftovers, I put together several cards similar to this one but with different colors, die cuts and embossed pieces.

The designer series paper in the background is from the Delightful Floral collection and on top of that is a piece of Azure Afternoon card stock that has been embossed with the Countryside Blooms folder. 

Next, is a die cut made with the retired Picture This dies and on top of that is a die cut made with the Something Fancy dies.

The sentiment is stamped in Pecan Pie ink and is from the Heartfelt Hexagons stamp set.

I made a few baby cards using some leftover die cuts and embossed pieces a while back, they are not all the same, but below is a sample of one of them.

The sentiment is from the retired Many Messages stamp set and is cut out by the Messages die; the circle behind that is from the Picture This dies. I used one of the Basics 3D embossing folders and the Cheery Patterns embossing folder, both on pieces of Sweet Sorbet card stock.

Wonderful Birthday

Happy Valentine's Day! and Happy Anniversary to my husband and I (26 years) as well. 

I don't have a Valentine's Day card to show you today, but I have a colorful birthday card made suing the Hooray for Surprises 

stamp set.

I used Berry Burst and Bubble Bath ink along with Pebbled Path and Bubble Bath card stock. The sentiment is die cut and layered using the Deckled Circles dies and there are some Petal Pink and Pretty Peacock Foiled Gems added as well.

Every crafter needs some basic tools, and this is one of them! The Deckled Circle Dies quickly cut basic shapes with a twist—a deckled* edge! What can you do with something so basic? For starters, you can cut several sizes in different colors and layer them to create a big colorful circle. Cut different sizes and scatter them on your card for a fun background. Cut in rainbow colors, then cut the circle in half for two rainbows. The list goes on and on and on. If you have a die-cutting machine, you’ll want these dies! Poetic Anniversary

For this anniversary card, I put together a couple different collections of designer series paper and an embossing folder that you can earn FREE during Sale-a-braiton.

Time for a Celebration

I wanted to use some of the Adhesive Backed Glitter Sequins I had from the Holiday Mini catalog on a birthday card and decided to use the Beautiful Balloons stamp set to do that.

I used Granny Apple Green, Parakeet Party, Pool Party and Pacific Point ink to make the balloons and sentiment, the strings on the balloons are Memento Black. 

The sentiment is die cut using the retired Picture This dies.

I have not used the Countryside Inn designer series paper in awhile and I thought I would put together a few cards using some of it. I paired it with an embossed piece of Balmy Blue card stock (the embossing folder is the retired Argyle folder).

January Stamp Club Projects

I am finally getting around to sharing the January Stamp Club projects with you! It seems like even though I should have more time to get things done in the winter, I really don't!

We started with a baby card created using the Bee My Valentine Collection and the Cradled with Love (SAB 2024) stamp set.

Next, we used the Lifetime of Love stamp set, Forever Love designer series paper and the Stylish Shapes dies to create a wedding card. I just love the color combinations in this designer series paper collection!

Finally, our layout showcases the Poetic Expressions designer series paper and coordinating card stock colors.
