Daisy for a Friend

I cut down some of the Gingerbread and Peppermint Memories and More cards that were in the Holiday catalog and used some of the pieces on these friend cards using the Many Happenings and Daisy Garden stamp sets.

The card base is 4 1/4" x 8 1/2", scored at 5 1/2" and then I added the layered panel on the short side.

Blackberry Messages

These two cards use the same layout and materials, but I have chosen to use different sentiments on each one, both of them coming from the Many Happenings stamp and die cut with the Messages die.

The designer series paper comes from the Blackberry Beauty collection and I have added pieces from the Blackberry Beauty ephemera pack as well.  You can see the entire Blackberry Beauty suite in the pictures at the bottom of this post. 

There are also a couple die cuts made with the harvest dies in the background to add to the layering and to add more color.

For this card, I used quite a few of the pieces from the Blackberry Beauty Ephemera Pack (not to worry, there are lots and lots of pieces left!).  

I started with a Basic White card base and then added a Soft Succulent die cut made with the Scalloped Contours dies.  Next, I started layering the pieces from the Ephemera pack and finally added my sentiment made with the Many Happenings stamp set and coordinating Messages Die.

Lots and lots of layering...this card uses lots of different elements and Stampin' dimensionals including  a die and embossing folder. Many of the elements come from the Blackberry Beauty ephemera pack which you can see at the bottom of this post.  There are lots and lots of great elements that can be used one cards and other projects in the pack.

The embossing folder I used is called Painted Texture and I just love the effect it gives.  For the sentiment I used the Many Happenings stamp and Messages die, also popping that up on the tag using Stampin' Dimensionals.

Sweet Baby

This is another card I put together on World Card Making Day using scraps and die cuts in my stash.  The background stamping was done with the Sale-a-bration stamp set called Textures and Frames using Balmy Blue, Smoky Slate and Misty Moonlight ink.

The die cut behind the baby clothes was made with the Scalloped Contours dies, the onesie was made with the Baby Clothes dies and the sentiment with the Messages Die.

There are a lot of days I need to remind myself to do what is on the sentiment tag of this card.  Life just gets too busy sometimes...

On World Card Making Day which was October 2nd, I was able to spend some time working on cards and took advantage of all the die cut pieces I had worked on while watching football games or something else in the past few months.  

I made a couple of this card which uses some retired designer series paper called Butterfly Bijou and the the butterflies (which are the part of the designer series paper that I used) are die cut with the Brilliant Wings dies. In the background I used the Merry Melody folder on some Coastal Cabana card stock and the sentiment is created with the Many Happenings stamp set and Messages die.
