Communion Cross

This is another card I made for some First Communion participants at my church a little while back.  I wanted to make them fairly simple since they were for boys so I used a Night of Navy background that was embossed with the Softly Falling folder to start with.

Then, I cut out a circle with the Stitched shapes framelits and two crosses with the Cross of Hope framelits.  The background cross is cut from Wood Textures designer series paper and the top one is cut from Gold foil sheets.  My sentiments come from the Inspired Events stamp set.

Supplies:
Inspired Events
Night of Navy ink
Night of Navy, Whisper White, Basic Gray card stock

Painted with Love Stroller

I was asked to make a baby card recently and it needed to incorporate a little tiny plastic baby that had been a bit of a joke around their workplace.  It may have come in a Mardi Gras cake of some kind...I have not added it to this photo, but it fit inside the stroller after I popped it up with Stampin' dimensionals.

The Painted with Love specialty paper is a favorite of mine and I actually put together quite a few of these cards (minus the plastic baby) to have on hand.  I actually did a few in baby boy colors as well using some Naturally Eclectic designer series paper that I didn't take pictures of this time around.

The Baby First stamp set and framelits are retired, but I still love playing around with them!

Supplies:
Baby's Firsts, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Soft Suede ink
Whisper White, Powder Pink, Melon Mambo card stock
Painted with Love specialty paper
Baby's firsts framelits

Wings and Sequins

It seems I am making more cards lately that don't have sentiments and today's sample is another of those.  My Watercolor Wings stamp set was collecting dust on the shelves so I decided to make a few cards with it and after playing around with a few color combinations, this is what I decided to stick with.

The ink colors are Berry Burst, Powder Pink, Peekaboo Peach, Wild Wasabi and Rich Razzleberry and I decided to add some Tutti-Fruitti adhesive backed sequins for some accents.

Supplies:
Watercolor Wings
Wild Wasabi, Rich Razzleberry, Peekaboo Peach, Berry Blast, Powder Pink ink
Whisper White, Powder Pink, So Saffron card stock
Tutti-Fruitti adhesive backed sequins

Brusho Leaves

This  card is another example of using some of the Brusho crystals altered Glossy white card stock I messed around with awhile back.  I will have another sample with the same colored background later this week, both of which are good for masculine cards.

I used my Memento Black ink and the Petal Palette stamp set to add some images to the Glossy card stock and then used the Milestone Moments stamp set for the sentiment.  I have found that I like to use the tear and tape adhesive to attach the altered  card stock to the layer beneath it because it rolls up on the corners just a little and this adhesive will hold it down quite well.

Supplies:
Milestone Moments, Petal Palette
Memento Black ink
Brusho Crystals
Glossy White card stock
Crumb Cake, Pear Pizzazz, Basic Black card stock

First Communion

My niece recently had her first communion and I wanted to use the Cross of hope framelits and Inspired events stamp set on her card.  I made another version of the card to give to the boys who also received their first communion and will share that another day.

First, I colored the background with Stampin' Blends and then added my layers over the top.  The Crumb Cake colored cross was die cut from the middle of the large Crumb Cake circle behind it.  Before I did the die cutting, I embossed the circle with the Basket Weave folder (SAB 2018).

Supplies:
Inspired Events
Pear Pizzazz, Perfect Plum, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake ink
Stampin' Blends
Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Wild Wasabi card stock
Circles framelits
Cross of Hope framelits
Springtime foils specialty paper (SAB 2018)

Welcome Baby

I really enjoy playing with the Sweet Little Something stamp set.  When I have shown customers samples using it, they immediately were intimidated by the layering of the images, but once they tried it out, they all realized it isn't as difficult as they thought.  I love to hear that!

While this is obviously a baby girl card with the pinks, I did make some using blues and greens and well to have around when I need.  The sequins actually ended up on the cards because I had a little ink smudge, but I ended up putting them on all the cards because I thought they fit well.

Supplies:
Sweet Little Something
Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Early Espresso ink
Melon Mambo, Whisper White, Pink Pirouette card stock
Bubbles and Fizz designer series paper
tutti-fruitti adhesive backed sequins
banner triple punch

Celebrate You

As promised, here is another version of my graduation card stock up.  Again, I used the stars framelits and Scattered Sequins dynamic impressions folder.  This time around I chose to use the Celebrate you thinlits for my words and added some Bubbles and Fizz designer series paper (SAB 2018).

For these cards, I chose to use a lighter background and embossed some Lemon Lime Twist card stock.

Supplies:
Lemon Lime Twist, Fresh Fig, Basic Gray, Bermuda Bay, Whisper White card stock
Silver foil paper
Stars framelits
Celebrate you thinlits
Bubbles and Fizz dsp (SAB 2018)

Blissful Bride

When I was putting together some bridal shower cards, I decided to use the wedding cake design from the Sweet Soire specialty paper collection (Occasions catalog).  I really love the designs in this collection and decided to pair the paper with a retired stamp set called Blissful Bride.  There will be some really awesome options for bridal shower images in the new catalog so I am excited about that too!

I added basic rhinestones to the dress and a few more on the sentiment layer, the sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set.

Supplies:
Blissful Bride, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Basic Black ink
So Saffron, Pink Pirouette, Whisper White card stock
basic rhinestones
Sweet Soire specialty paper

Sequins and Stars

I decided to try to get ahead of the game and get some graduation cards ready to go since that will be around before I know it and I am sure we will be busy planting potatoes!  Playing around with the Stars framelits, I put together a few different cards and I will share another with you tomorrow.

For this one, I embossed some Night of Navy card stock with the Scattered Sequins dynamic impressions folder and then layered some die cut stars with dimensionals.  The congrats is die cut using the Sunshine Wishes thinlits and Silver foil paper.

Supplies:
Night of Navy, Fresh Fig, Basic Gray, Whisper White card stock

You've Got This

It is that time of year again when we say good bye to some products and anticipate some awesome new ones coming out June 1st!  You can see what will be retiring here.  There will be a color renovation as well so make sure to check out which colors will be leaving us!

I have some more Brusho Crystals cards to share with you in the next week or two.  When I play with it, I tend to do several sheets of glossy paper at once so I can make lots of cards so you may see the same colors in backgrounds on more than one sample.

I chose a simple setting for this one, using the flower from You've Got This and some basic rhinestones for accents.

Supplies:
You've Got This
Memento Black ink
Whisper White, Sweet Sugarplum card stock
Basic rhinestones
Brusho Crystals
Glossy White card stock

Best Wishes

Recently I put together a half a dozen or so of these Best Wishes cards using some scraps I had leftover from Stamp A stack cards I had taken out of my rotation.  For the stamp set, I chose Petal Palette and added some coordinating Pretty Petals designer series paper as well.

The Bermuda Bay background is embossed with the Oh My Stars embossing folder and I added some of my favorite glitter enamel dots for accents.

Supplies:
Petal Palette
Crumb Cake, Basic Black ink
Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, Bermuda Bay card stock
Oh My Stars folder
Pretty Petals dsp
White doily
Glitter enamel dots

Friends

This card came together by using some scraps and a stamp set I had not pulled out in quite awhile.  I began with the designer series paper piece from the Painted with Love specialty collection that is in the Occasions catalog.  Next came the oval which was a leftover die cut from a make and take project.

The oval is stamped with a flower from Flourishing Phrases in Powder Pink and the sentiment comes from Just Add Text and is in Basic Gray.  I decided to add a heart accent from the Hearts and Stars elements collection with some glue dots and then some enamel dots that were leftover from a Paper Pumpkin kit.

Supplies:
Flourishing Phrases, Just Add Text
Powder Pink, Basic Gray ink
Whisper White, Basic Gray, Rich Razzleberry card stock
Ovals collection framelits
white doilies
hearts and stars elements

April Stamp Club Projects

It is time to share my monthly stamp club projects once again.  Since we are still impatiently awaiting spring I tried to incorporate some spring things into the projects this month!

The first card uses Watercolor Wash as a background for the Butterfly Basics images that are popped up on the die cut circle.

For the second card, I chose Painted Harvest and several colors of green for the leaves also incorporating the leaf and classic label punches.

Finally for the layout, I used some Naturally Eclectic designer series paper scallop circle punches - this theme isn't necessarily spring, but the colors are bright and cheerful!

If these projects look like fun, we are always looking for more friends to stamp with us!  I have room in my virtual clubs (every other month) and my monthly stamp club as well.  Contact me for more information.

New Driver

At a retreat recently instead of focusing on making scrapbook pages, I put together lots and lots of cards but I did mix things up a little bit and put together a few scrapbook pages using pictures that were taken in the last 6 months or so.  This one focuses on the Bubbles and Fizz designer series paper (SAB 2018) and is a really simple layout with lots of color.

I added some stars cut out with the Stars framelits using Lemon Lime Twist card stock for some accents and the banners are punched with the Banner triple punch.

Simple Sunflower

This is really a card for anything and I have left it without a sentiment, for the moment at least.  The flower layers are stamped with Daffodil Delight and Peekaboo Peach ink and the center with Early Espresso.   I love the 1/4" double stitched ribbon that is in the Catalog and Idea book and I have used a piece to accent the corner of the flower layer on this card.  The ribbon is also available in Cherry Cobbler and Blushing Bride.

Supplies:
Painted Harvest
Peekaboo Peach, Daffodil Delight, Wild Wasabi, Soft Suede, Early Espresso ink
Whisper White, Daffodil Delight card stock

Springtime Wedding

As much as I don't enjoy coloring, I have done a lot of it on the Springtime foils specialty paper (SAB 2018) using the Stampin' Blends markers.  I will share more samples with you again at another time, but for today I have some wedding cards that I created this way.

I also added some die cuts in gold foil using the Celebrate you thinlits (SAB 2018) and my sentiment of "forever" is from the stamp set called Always and Forever.

I played around with a few different color combinations but I really like the vibrant red flowers that come from using Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blends.

Soft Suede ink
Stampin' Blends
Very Vanilla, Pool Party, Cherry Cobbler card stock
