Blooming Baskets

I made a few cards using the Blooming Basket Bundle which is one of the new Sale-a-bration releases that came out recently.  The bundle includes a stamp set called Blooming Baskets and an embossing folder called Basket Weave.

I used my Stampin' Blends to color in the basket and the background and left the cards without sentiments (at least for now).  I chose the Crumb Cake, Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blends and used both the light and dark colors.  The background is done with the Ivory color.

Paper Pumpin Alternative Card Ideas

Today I have a couple more alternative ideas for this month's Paper Pumpkin kit.  Neither card is difficult to make at all and there are lots of different elements leftover that you can play around with.

I added a piece of designer series paper and a piece of card stock embossed with the Oh My Stars folder for the first card.

On the second card, I still used the card front and base that comes in the kit.

Paper Pumpkin Alternative Layout

As you may have noticed, I like to create a scrapbook layout as an alternate idea for most of the Paper Pumpkin kits.  This month is no exception!

I chose a 12 x 12 piece of Garden Green card stock for the base and did a little bit of stamping with the included stamps and some Garden Green ink.  Then, I cut down an envelope and used the flower pattern as a strip behind the photo mats (which are the card fronts).

I used the negative letters from the celebrate sticker for the title and the floral piece that would have gone behind the sticker as another accent toward the top.  To complete it, I added a few of the accent stickers, vellum, linen thread and adhesive pearls.

February 2018 Paper Pumpkin

The cards in this month's Paper Pumpkin are just adorable and there are SO MANY extra elements you will have lots of fun trying to add them to other projects as well.

The envelopes are also lined with a floral design which I didn't show you here, but you will see on Monday's alternative project idea.

Eclectic Pieces

Today's card uses one of the 2nd release Sale-a-bration stamp sets that just came out a few days ago called Eclectic Expressions.  It is paired with the Pieces and Patterns stamp set and some Pick a Pattern designer series paper.

My ink colors coordinate with the designer series paper colors and I have popped up my sentiment layers to add a little dimension to the card.

Simple Things

I really like the options in the Yay You hostess set in the Occasions catalog

and decided to make a card for my Stamp A Stacks using it.  I chose to use Sweet Sugarplum, Basic Gray and Whisper White as my card stock colors.  

For the inks, I chose old Olive and Smoky Slate and added some Glitter and Clear Epoxy shapes, retired washi tape and metallic thread for accents.

February Stamp Club Projects

For this month's Stamp Club projects, I focused on Occasions catalog items for the most part.  The Painted with Love specialty paper was the focus of two of them and the Waterfront stamp set was the focus of the third.

The Waterfront card is sentiment free and I used the Stitched Shapes framelits to highlight some of the images.

For the second card, I paired the Hold on to Hope stamp set with the Painted with Love specialty paper...

And finally on the layout, used colors that coordinated with the specialty paper and also added some punched pieces using the 1 1/4" scallop circle, 1 3/8" scallop circle and 1 1/2" circle punch.

Bride and Groom

Another current Stamp a Stack card option...this one uses the Lots of Lavender (SAB 2018) stamp set and Falling for You.  It is a simple layout but with all the colors I think turned out pretty well.

I chose Wisteria Wonder, Wild Wasabi and Crushed Curry ink to stamp with the filler stamps over the bouquet.

Hold on to Hope

Apparently when I made the card I shared with you yesterday I left the Sheet Music background stamp on my desk so I would use it a little more!  It is paired with the Hold on to Hope stamp set for this card.  

I have added some lace trim behind the sentiment and attached it with Stampin' dimensionals, and punched out the "hold on to hope" with the classic label punch.

Musical Thoughts

Well, I am back again!  The mess of redoing much of our upstairs flooring is finally gone and there is just a few little details left to complete.  I finally made it back into my craft room today after about two weeks away so I hope I can once again keep up with projects to share with you!  

I decided to pair the Sheet Music background stamp with the Heartfelt Blooms (SAB 2018) stamp set for this card that is in my rotation for my Stamp a Stacks right now.  I used Crumb Cake ink for the music and Island Indigo for the flowers.

Bright and Epic

There may be a little break in the posts after today - we have been on vacation for about a week and also have been replacing a bunch of flooring in our house before and after and have been living in a mess.  I haven't had a lot of time to play around in the stamp room, but hopefully I won't have too long of a break before I am back!

This card uses one of the Tutti Frutti card and envelopes from Sale-a-bration as well as some Bubbles and Fizz designer series paper, Epic Celebration and some Shimmer ribbon.  The colors are pretty bright so I intended the card to maybe be for a teenager...

Brusho Butterfly Basics

For this card, I used some Brusho Crystals and water on watercolor paper and added an image from the Butterfly Basics stamp set in Memento Black ink after it was dry.  I think the background colors got a little too dark for this image so I will have to try something different on the leftover pieces.  

I also added some Shimmer ribbon (SAB 2018) for a little accent and left off any sentiments for now.

Yay You

I have a couple similar cards to share with you today using a hostess stamp set that is in the Occasions 2018 catalog called Yay You.  I chose to use a lot of the images in the background using different ink colors from the brights family.  

I think if I did something like this again, I would cut out some banners and pop them up over the top of the stamped images instead of adding them all in one layer like I did on these.

                                               

I added some retired Silver glitter tape and some Shimmer ribbon from this year's Sale-a-bration as well.

January 2018 Paper Pumpkin Alternative Project

I am planning to let my daughter use the January Paper Pumpkin kit for her class's valentine's day cards, you can see in the video below what they will look like.  There is a perfect number of them for her class with one leftover for me to play with! 

I again made an alternative project using a scrapbook page.  The pocket card is cut open and placed as the background behind the photo mats.  The other accent pieces are also included and I added a couple True Gentleman buttons on the heart as well.

Celebrate You

The Celebrate You thinlits (SAB 2018) have so many possibilities when you play around with them.  I decided to cut out my celebrate from one of the Tutti Frutti cards and envelopes (SAB 2018) to give it some design.  

Then I picked some scraps from my scrap box to use behind the die cut and added some dots from the Playful Backgrounds stamp set behind the card stock layer.
