Musical Sympathy

This card is another mix of current and retired items, the stamp set that the sentiment comes from has been retired for quite awhile but I use it quite often for this sentiment as well as some of the others in the set.

The sheet music background stamp is also retired, but one of my favorite background stamps!  The designer series paper in the background is from Woven Threads which is current as is the stamp set used over the sheet music image called Forever Lovely.  I also added some Rococo Rose 1/2" gathered ribbon and the sentiment is stamped on a die cut using the Stitched Nested framelits.

Sheet Music, Forever Lovely
Rococo Rose, Mossy Meadow, Night of Navy ink
Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Mossy Meadow card stock

Celebrating

Today my middle child turns 15, although this isn't the card I made for him, it is one I debated about using.  His is baseball themed - all baseball all the time for that boy!

As we get close to starting another Sale-a-bration season with Stampin' Up!, I thought I would use one of my favorites from last year's Sale-a-bration - Epic Celebrations.  The guitar image that is stamped on Wood Textures designer series paper is from that stamp set...

It is paired with Sheet Music (background stamp) and Gallery Grunge and I have added some Tropical escape designer series paper as well.  A stitched shapes framelit in Blackberry Bliss, some candy dots and a retired sentiment finish it off.

Supplies:
Gallery Grunge, Sheet Music, Epic Celebrations
Early Espresso, Old Olive, Blackberry Bliss, Merry Merlot, Granny Apple Green ink
Whisper White, Pacific Point, Blackberry Bliss card stock
Tropical escape dsp
Stitched shapes framelits

Guitar Birthday

I went back to the Epic Celebrations stamp set from this year's Sale-a-bration for these birthday cards.  The backgrounds and sentiments are a little different on each one but I thought the cards would be good for either males or teenagers.

Each has the Sheet Music background stamp image behind the guitars and some Gallery Grunge images as well.  The guitars were stamped on Wood Textures designer series paper and then cut out with the paper snips.  The card on the left uses some Springtime foils specialty paper in the background and the one of the right uses some Tropical Escapes designer series paper.

Sheet Music, Gallery Grunge, Epic Celebrations
Early Espresso, Granny Apple Green, Pacific Point, Merry Merlot ink
Merry Merlot, Pacific Point, Whisper White card stock

Hold on to Hope

Apparently when I made the card I shared with you yesterday I left the Sheet Music background stamp on my desk so I would use it a little more!  It is paired with the Hold on to Hope stamp set for this card.

I have added some lace trim behind the sentiment and attached it with Stampin' dimensionals, and punched out the "hold on to hope" with the classic label punch.

Supplies:
Hold on to Hope, Sheet Music

Musical Thoughts

Well, I am back again!  The mess of redoing much of our upstairs flooring is finally gone and there is just a few little details left to complete.  I finally made it back into my craft room today after about two weeks away so I hope I can once again keep up with projects to share with you!

I decided to pair the Sheet Music background stamp with the Heartfelt Blooms (SAB 2018) stamp set for this card that is in my rotation for my Stamp a Stacks right now.  I used Crumb Cake ink for the music and Island Indigo for the flowers.

Supplies:
Heartfelt Blooms (SAB 2018), Sheet Music
Crumb Cake, Island Indigo ink
Very Vanilla, Pool Party, Old Olive card stock

Musical Brusho

Here is another example of my Brusho Crystals experiment...When I played around with it, I did several different pieces using different color combinations.  After the watercolor paper dried thoroughly, I stamped the Sheet Music background stamp over the top of it with Soft Suede ink.

Then, I stamped the guitar from the Epic Celebrations (SAB 2018) set on some Wood Textures designer series paper and cut it out with my paper snips and layered my cards.

Supplies:
Epic Celebration (SAB 2018), Sheet Music
Memento Black ink, Soft Suede, Dapper Denim ink
Brusho Crystals
Old Olive, Dapper Denim card stock

There are so many beautiful samples using the Painted Harvest stamp set out there right now with lots of great colors and layouts.  I wanted to make one with the Sheet Music background stamp so I put this one together.

My flowers are stamped using Sweet Sugarplum and Fresh Fig ink with Crushed Curry centers.

I added a little linen thread behind the sentiment banner as well...

Sheet Music Note Set

I was really happy to see the addition of Acetate Card Boxes in the Holiday catalog.  They are perfect to use for gifts of cards (and of course other things too) and you can fit at least 5 standard cards and envelopes in each one.  This box contains 6 cards and envelopes so it depends on how many layers you are using on each card.

I wrapped the box with some Painted Autumn designer series paper and added some Venetian lace trim around it for decoration.

The cards in the box also used some Painted Autumn designer series paper along with the Treble Clef die cut from the Musical Instruments framelits.

Supplies:
Sheet Music, Flourishing Phrases
Soft Suede, Peekaboo Peach, Pear Pizzazz ink
Very Vanilla card stock
linen thread
2" circle punch
Gold foil paper
Musical Instruments framelits

Special Celebrations

I am always drawn to sheet music whether is it paper or stamps for some reason so I decided to order the background stamp called Sheet Music right away when it came out in the new catalog.  For this card, I used it as a background image and sponged it to make it look a little weathered.

The specialty paper behind the sheet music is from the Bundle of Love collection and there are some really pretty patterns in it.

I added a doily and some Powder Pink finely woven ribbon behind the sentiment which is punched out with the Pretty Label punch and also sponged with ink.

Supplies:
Special Occasions, Sheet Music
Soft Suede ink
Powder Pink, Very Vanilla card stock
Bundle of Love specialty paper
Pretty label punch
 Powder Pink finely woven ribbon
