Dahlia Sympathy Card

This card is another using some sneak peek products from the upcoming Sale-a-bration catalog.  You can earn the stamp set used with a $100 order and the designer series paper used with a $50 order. Sale-a-bration will run from August 3 - September 30th.

I added lots of layers to this card to keep it from being too simple.  The card base is Purple Posy card stock, but could easily be Basic White or Highland Heather too...

There is a 5" x 1" piece of designer series paper on the inside of the card along with a 5 1/4" x 4" piece under all the other layers on the front.

The flower was stamped with Highland Heather ink and the outline with Gorgeous Grape ink.  I used Misty Moonlight ink for the sentiment which also comes in this stamp set.

Here is another card idea using the Hat's Off bundle, it was designed as a thank you card for a baseball coach.  

The card base is Soft Sea Foam card stock and I die cut the hat from the Beauty of the Earth designer series paper.  The background designer series paper is a sneak peek of the upcoming Sale-a-bration paper called Beautifully Penned.  All of the patterns are in black and white in this collection.

July Paper Pumpkin Alternative Layout

Using pieces from the July Paper Pumpkin kit, I put together this 12" x 12" scrapbook layout idea.  Most of the pieces have been cut down from their original state and many of the pieces are from one of the envelopes.

I began with a Misty Moonlight card base and some Soft Succulent photo mat pieces.  Then I added several pieces created by cutting down one of the envelopes for part of background.

The scene in the corner was put together much like the alternative cards I shared with you yesterday, cutting up the panels and layering them, and then adding a few of the other pieces in the kit as well.

July 2021 Paper Pumpkin Alternative Cards

The July Paper Pumpkin kit has lots of really fun tri-fold cards to put together.  You can see the original designs in the first picture, there were enough bases to make 4 of each card.

The next few pictures show some other ideas you can put together using the kit and a few other products.

On the cards above, I cut down the tri-fold bases and just used the front panel along with some extra designer series paper behind them and added them to a card stock base. The designer series paper on the left is from the Beauty of the Earth collection and the one on the right is a sneak peak of one of the collections in the Sale-a-bration catalog called Beautifully Penned.  

The next two pictures have cards that use panels cut down just like the first set of alternative cards and also use designer series paper in the background.  The top one has some from the Hand Penned collection and the bottom from the Whimsy & Wonder collection that will be in the holiday catalog.

Finally, I still have card bases that were cut down, but for these I used the third panel of the cards along with the cutout and added them to some extra card stock.  The sentiments are from the Many Happenings stamp, die cut with the Messages die.

You're Amazing

The Expressions in Ink specialty paper has both masculine and feminine color patterns in the designs.  While this collection is currently on backorder, I still wanted to share a card I put together using the more masculine colored designs. While this card has lots and lots of layers but I only popped up the sentiments.

The specialty paper is paired with the Picture This dies (for the circle) and the Create with Friends stamp set, while the "amazing" is stamped on a piece of Crumb Cake that is cut out with the paper trimmer, the "you're" is just cut out with a paper snips.

Dragonfly Birthday

I have used a couple retired items on this card along with a current stamp set, the card could easily be recreated with current items as well.

I chose the Dragonfly Garden stamp set for the images and used a retired stamp set for the sentiment.  The Mint Macaron piece of card stock was a scrap I had from another project as was the designer series paper and the self adhesive pearls were added for little more texture on the card.

Amazing

I made some cards for teachers this spring using the Picture This dies and Color and Contour stamp set.  I chose to use the circles that were die cut out of the card stock rather than the piece left with the circles cut out of it (see the picture at the bottom for an idea 

using that piece).

The designer series paper patterns are from the retired Playful Palette collection which was a 6" x 6" set.  The sentiment is mounted on some coordinating Calypso Coral card stock.

Sheltering You With Love

The stamp set Inspired Thoughts has sentiments for lots of different occasions that can be used alone or coordinated with another sentiment in the same stamp set.  For this project, I paired two of them together for a sympathy card.

The designer series paper is called You're a Peach and I picked two different patterns along with a punched piece of Balmy Blue to use under the top sentiment.

Growing Family

I shared a baby card using the All for Baby Bundle with our monthly stamp club projects yesterday and here is another one using some retired designer series paper for the baby onesie and the background.
