October Paper Pumpkin Card Ideas

When I sat down to put together my September kit (I was quite a ways behind due to harvest), I also put together the October kit.  In the first picture below you will see the cards as they were designed.

I put together a few more using pieces of the kit along with different card stock and another stamp set.  Below, the card on the right has a piece of Smoky Slate card stock that has been embossed with the Star-crossed embossing folder.

I used the Peaceful Cabin stamp set on one of the card below and near the end of the post you can see that there is also some coordinating designer series paper available on the website called Peaceful Place.

The two die cuts on the cards above were made using the

September Paper Pumpkin Alternative Cards

The September Paper Pumpkin kit was full of pieces for cute little gift boxes like the one shown in the first picture below. There were enough pieces to make 12 of these cuties in 4 different colors...

I only made one box and chose to do some other things
with the pieces...

The top two cards are made using the negative part of the piece of paper that had leaves to pop out of. I cut down the sheet for the one on the left and added it to the card stock, then I stamped the veins of the leaves using the stamp set included in the kit.  For the one on the right, I used the same negative piece and sponged Crushed Curry, Cinnamon Cider and Soft Succulent ink before stamping the veins on the leaves.

Next, I cut apart some of the boxes and used a few other pieces in the kit to put the next two cards together, to be honest, these are my least favorite of the six alternative cards that I created...

Finally, I stamped the leaves and veins on card stock along with a sentiment creating two single layer cards that are very simple.

You can see the items that were in the kit below minus the stamp set and ink.  If you are a Paper Pumpkin subscriber, you can order refills until supplies are gone by going here. If you are not a subscriber yet and would like to order the November kit, you can go right here.

July 2021 Paper Pumpkin Alternative Cards

The July Paper Pumpkin kit has lots of really fun tri-fold cards to put together.  You can see the original designs in the first picture, there were enough bases to make 4 of each card.

The next few pictures show some other ideas you can put together using the kit and a few other products.

On the cards above, I cut down the tri-fold bases and just used the front panel along with some extra designer series paper behind them and added them to a card stock base. The designer series paper on the left is from the Beauty of the Earth collection and the one on the right is a sneak peak of one of the collections in the Sale-a-bration catalog called Beautifully Penned.

The next two pictures have cards that use panels cut down just like the first set of alternative cards and also use designer series paper in the background.  The top one has some from the Hand Penned collection and the bottom from the Whimsy & Wonder collection that will be in the holiday catalog.

Finally, I still have card bases that were cut down, but for these I used the third panel of the cards along with the cutout and added them to some extra card stock.  The sentiments are from the Many Happenings stamp, die cut with the Messages die.

May Paper Pumpkin

I am always happy to see baseball themed products from Stampin' Up! since my boys have been playing baseball since they were about four years old.  The May Paper Pumpkin kit was fun to play around with for that reason and I made one of them a birthday card using the kit as well since he has a May birthday.

The picture above shows the intended designs...

I added some Bumblebee and Real Red card stock to this one and used the happy birthday sentiment from the Sweet Ice Cream stamp set (this set was used on all of the alternative cards shown)...

This one has some Crumb Cake, Real Red and Bumblebee card stock added...

And finally, one using some Basic White, Real Red and Night of Navy card stock along with some retired Playing with Patterns designer series paper.

There is still time to sign up and get the June kit!

January Paper Pumpkin Alternative Cards

The first two cards are made as the January Paper Pumpkin kit was intended to be made.  They are some fun cards that can be used for Valentine's Day, Anniversaries, etc.

I have a few alternative ideas for you as well, this one uses the card base in the kit and the only two elements added from my other products are the sentiment created with the Many Messages bundle and the square vellum doily.

The second card uses a few pieces of extra card stock along with some designer series paper from the Berry Blessings Bundle (SAB 2021) and the Fine Art Floral bundle for the sentiment.  There is also a die cut made with the Stitched So Sweetly dies.

Finally, another card using the Many Messages bundle along with a Whisper White card  base and a piece of Petal Pink card stock.

March Paper Pumpkin

The first picture shows the March Paper Pumpkin kit cards as designed.  I had a little time to play around with the kit last weekend, but have not had time to take photos or work on getting them up on the blog until now!  Despite the pandemic going on, we still need to ship our seed potatoes out and have been busy doing that...

This is one alternative card I put together, it is on a Whisper White card stock base and I used some elements and stamps from the kit and bonus stamp set.

This card uses some Peaceful Poppies designer series paper along the side of the card and I also cut down one of the original card bases and mounted it on Purple Posy card stock.  The boots are stamped using the bonus stamp set and cut out with a paper snips.

I will have a few more card ideas and a layout to share with you in the upcoming days.

February Paper Pumpkin and Alternative Cards

The first set of cards show what you can make with the February Paper Pumpkin kit...

This set is a few alternative ideas using very few extra pieces...

For this card, I chose to use the base that came with the kit because it was a little different and I liked the fold and enclosure. I added a couple of pieces of card stock - a Basic Gray piece embossed with the Tin Tile folder and a Balmy Blue piece die cut with the Stitched Rectangles framelits.

For this one, I chose to stamp the large flower on the card base and color it in with markers before adding the die cut piece from the kit.

Hope you enjoyed these projects and don't forget if you sign up before March 10th for this month's kit you will also receive an extra FREE stamp set since it is the anniversary month for Paper Pumpkin!

January Paper Pumpkin and Alternatives

The January Paper Pumpkin kit has some great little cards and pouches for Valentine's Day treats as you can see in the first picture.  I made a few of those and then started to cut down the pieces for other projects...

I have three cards to share with you using parts of the kit in each and an embossed background added to the card base...

The first background is embossed with the Tufted Folder and the card stock is Purple Posy...

The second background is Petal Pink embossed with the Parisian Flourish folder and the final one is Gorgeous Grape card stock embossed with the Large Polka Dot folder...

Paper Pumpkin Alternative Cards

I did not add a whole lot of materials other than card stock when I made these cards from the items in the September Paper Pumpkin kit.  On the first one, I added Basic Black and Gorgeous Grape card stock, Old Olive thread and White craft ink...

I cut down one of the goodie boxes and used it as a pocket on the inside of this card attaching it with tear and tape adhesive.

The second card also uses a Gorgeous Grape card stock base along with some added Basic Gray card stock and linen thread.

I hope you enjoyed the alternative ideas!
The next two months kits will coordinate so you won't want to miss out on them.  Be sure to sign up for yours before November 10th!

More March Paper Pumpkin Ideas

Here are a few more alternative ideas for the March Paper Pumpkin kit.  I put together a few graduation cards adding in a sentiment from the Well Said stamp set...

The numbers in the kit came in handy for these!

And a few more birthday cards using different pieces in the kit.  I altered several of them by cutting them down...

Finally, I cut the insert down to just the cake and popped it up on a card base adding candles behind it and a ribbon over the top.

You can still order next month's kit which will have some of Stampin'' Up!'s Distinktive stamps inside!  Just go here to get started.

November Paper Pumpkin Alternative Cards Ideas

The first two cards were created as the kit intended...

The next nine cards (yes, the kit comes with supplies for 8 cards total but I made 10 plus a scrapbook page!) use the same pieces in the kit with a few extras added in...

On the cards above I used a little Gold foil, Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green card stock and a little piece of Wood Textures dsp.  Below, I cut down a piece of the plaid layer for one card and didn't use it at all on the other.

More Wood Textures dsp and Garden Green and Cherry Cobbler card stock on these...

Finally the last three...

Monday I will show you the last alternative idea - a scrapbook page.
