Today's Plan

As you can probably imagine since this is the third post I am able to get to you this week, we have finished harvest for the year...YEAH! There was no time for stamping during September and much of August so some of the projects I am sharing with you were created before that including the cards I have for you today.  

These cards are similar but all slightly different since I was using some leftover die cuts at the time.  The Press On and Nothing's Better Than stamp sets were both used as well as the Stitched Shapes and Stitched Rectangles framelits.  Eyelet Lace and Large Polka Dots were the embossing folders I chose to use for the backgrounds.

January Paper Pumpkin and Alternatives

The January Paper Pumpkin kit has some great little cards and pouches for Valentine's Day treats as you can see in the first picture.  I made a few of those and then started to cut down the pieces for other projects...

I have three cards to share with you using parts of the kit in each and an embossed background added to the card base...

The first background is embossed with the Tufted Folder and the card stock is Purple Posy...

The second background is Petal Pink embossed with the Parisian Flourish folder and the final one is Gorgeous Grape card stock embossed with the Large Polka Dot folder...

Cup of Cheer

Quite awhile ago I was using up some retired Have a Cuppa designer series paper and die cut lots and lots of coffee cups using the also retired Coffee Cups framelits.  I recently paired some of those die cuts with the Cup of Christmas stamp set and made these cards.  

The background is embossed with the retired Large Polka dots folder and I have added some die cut leaves and 5/8" striped burlap ribbon for accents as well.

Comforting Hugs

I recently put together a few sympathy cards using the new stamp set called Kindness and Compassion and some of the Nature's Poem designer series paper.  

The background Mossy Meadow card stock is embossed with the Large Polka Dots folder which is difficult to see in the photos.  I also added a Leaves trinket for some more texture.

April Stamp Club Projects

These are the Stamp Club projects that my monthly group put together for April.  We used quite a bit of Cupcakes and Carousels designer series paper - on the layout and one of the cards as well as a little bit of Tasty Treats specialty paper.

The first card uses Big on Birthday as the stamp set and some Calypso Coral ink.

Next, a little thank you card using the Stitched Shapes framelits and Large Polka Dot folder...

Finally, the layout with randomly placed squares and strips of Cupcakes and Carousels designer series paper and So Saffron and Early Espresso picture mats.

Stars and Dots

There is a set of two impressions folders in the Occasions catalog that create a debossed design on your card stock - one says celebrate and the other says happy.  They coordinate with the Happy Celebrations stamp set and I have used them together on the card I created for you today. 

I stamped the card base with one of the images from the Happy Celebrations set and then added a Smoky Slate layer that had been embossed with the Large Polka Dots folder. 

Then I debossed the "celebrate" and stamped over it to make it pop out using the same stamp I previously used on the background.  To finish the card, I added a few Urban Underground embellishments.

Washi Birthday

I thought I would play with washi tape again on the card I am sharing with you today - that seems to be a theme this week although it wasn't planned that way!

I stamped my sentiment on some Whisper White card stock and then added some strips of Pop of Pink washi tape over the top of it.  Then I layered it onto a piece of Basic Black card stock.

My background is embossed with the Large polka dots folder and I added a little bit of Peekaboo Peach ruched ribbon for a little extra color.

For your Confirmation

 

I put together a few confirmation cards for a customer this week and thought I would share them with you.  I used the All God's Grace stamp set.  

 

 

I die cut an oval and then stamped my cross on it with Soft Suede ink.  Next I used the Wink of Stella glitter brush and colored in outside of the cross.

 

The banners were cut with the Banners framelits and I added some texture with the Large Polka Dots folder and Perfect Polka Dots folder.

A Little Something Cute

 

I decided to put together a baby card using some Botanical Gardens designer vellum paper and the Baby's First framelits. 



 

I first embossed the Pink Pirouette card stock with the Large polka dots folder and then cut out the onsie.  Then I added the vellum to the card base before adding the Pink Pirouette layer.

 

I added the onsie I cut out to the inside of the card.

Hip Hip Hooray

 

I was initially a hold out on the Party Pup-up thinlits dies, but I recently decided I wanted to give them a shot. So, this is the first creation made with them, using some Mint Macaron card stock that was embossed with the Large Polka Dots folder and then die cut.  

 

I added a couple Stampin' dimensionals behind the pop up part of the die cut to keep it up and then added some sequins.

Watercolor Birthday

 

I went into the scrap and leftover bin for most of this card using a background that I had already embossed and another background that I had already stamped.

 

I used a portion of the Watercolor Wash image behind the flower image and then when I went to add the sentiment I decided to add some color to that as well, using an image from For All Things and stamping it over and over again...

Celebrate Baby

 

Some baby boy cards are on the agenda today...I have a couple different versions of the same card which uses the Celebrate today stamp set.  I stamped the balloon with Smoky Slate ink on Whisper White and then added the words with Mint Macaron.  Then, I punched out the balloon so that it was just a circle with the 2" circle punch and layered it onto a 2 1/2" circle....

 

Each background contains a piece of Soft Sky that was embossed with the Large Polka dots folder, but the other elements are what is different.  I chose a scrap of Neutrals color collection designer series paper for one, a piece of a Polka Dot bag for anther and part of a care in the Hello Baby Boy Project Life card collection for the last one.

 

There is a little strip of Washi tape from the Hello Baby Project Life accessory kit on the card below as well.

Grateful

I always like to find different ways to use up all the patterns in the Halloween themed paper packs because I generally don't do that many cards or projects for Halloween.  On this card, I used one of the patterns behind the die cut wood piece found in the Seasonal Snapshot 2015 Project Life accessory pack.



 

I added some sequins that also came in the package, Venetian crochet trim ribbon and a sentiment from the For all Things stamp set that I cut apart after I stamped it.

 

All of that is layered onto some Crumb Cake card stock that is embossed with the Large Polka Dots folder.

I have another layout to share using the Project Life pieces on a traditional page.  I chose items from the Let's get away collection and added a few other elements as well.

 



 

I have a piece of glassine paper that is embossed with the Large Polka Dot folder, a die cut from the Project Life cards and labels framelits, an Expressions natural elements item, designer button and some washi tape too.

Thinking of You

 

This is a card I have recently added to my Stamp a Stack collection using the Wetlands stamp set.  I chose a strip of Sweet Li'l Things designer series paper to go behind the die cut piece from Party Pennants.

 

It is a pretty quick one to put together since all the pieces are cut out for them already and makes a nice masculine card too with the option of switching out a different sentiment.

 

The grain image is fitting for this time of year in my area as well as we are into wheat harvest right now.  That also means I may be unable to post everyday for a little while, but will do my best to keep up.  It will be fun to get into my combine again though!
