Thinking of You

 

This is a card I have recently added to my Stamp a Stack collection using the Wetlands stamp set.  I chose a strip of Sweet Li'l Things designer series paper to go behind the die cut piece from Party Pennants.

 

It is a pretty quick one to put together since all the pieces are cut out for them already and makes a nice masculine card too with the option of switching out a different sentiment.

 

The grain image is fitting for this time of year in my area as well as we are into wheat harvest right now.  That also means I may be unable to post everyday for a little while, but will do my best to keep up.  It will be fun to get into my combine again though!

Thinking of You

 

I wanted to get away from lots of colors and patterns when I put these cards together and kind of just went for simple and natural.  The background stamped image comes from Chalk Lines and I stamped Crumb Cake ink on Crumb Cake card stock. 

 

I stamped the Chalk Lines image first on the Very Vanilla card base and then on the Crumb Cake layer before I put the two together.

 

The sentiment and background images are from Wetlands and are also stamped in Crumb Cake ink. 

 

 

Wetlands Birthday

 

I love the images in this stamp set, especially for masculine cards.  For this one, I paired it with Adventure Bound designer series paper, some brads and scoring.

 

I scored around the Whisper White layer at 1/4" on all sides and then added brads to the corners.

Wetlands Thinking of You

 

I really like to use this image from Wetlands when I am making sympathy or thinking of you cards.  This one is quite simply put together using a strip of Color Me Autumn designer series paper as the background.

More of Winnie the Pooh

 

Here are the last three variations of the wooden pieces I shared with you yesterday.  The customer wanted to make sure I used the same saying on all of them "...if there ever comes a day when we can't be together, keep me in your heart, I'll stay there forever..."

 

Again, I used some retired items, but on the masculine ones I decided to use the Wetlands stamp set.

 

Again, lots of sponging (I actually used the reinker and put it directly on my sponge for the edges of the wood instead of tapping it into my ink pad).

Serene Thinking of You

For some reason, when I use the Serene Silhouettes stamp set, I reach for sympathy of thinking of you sayings.  Well, here is another card with that theme, the sentiment coming from Wetlands.

Clockworks Gift Set

 

Recently, I had a request for some cards that had a clock or time theme to them.  The cards below are what I came up with using the retiring Clockworks stamp set.  

 

I used some Gold Metallic ink on Pear Pizzazz card stock and randomly stamped some of the images.  Then, I added some Gold Foil sheets that were embossed with the Decorative dots folder over the top.

 

Finally the pocket watch and a sentiment (from Wetlands), some washi tape and a basic pearl to complete the cards.

This card came to be while I was going through scraps again (that seems to happen a lot as I prepare for the semi annual retreats at Park River Bible Camp).  The Modern Medley designer series paper scraps had been some cut when I created a few scrapbook pages.

 



 

I chose to use Stazon Black ink and stamp the small birds on the card base behind the popped up layer.  The small bird images are also stamped on both sides of the larger one on the piece I popped up with dimensionals.

Punched Kindness

 

This week our challenge at Late Night Stampers is to use punches.  You can do anything from a sentiment or image to some fun punch art, the choice is yours!

 

I used the scallop edge punch, scallop oval punch and 1 3/4" scallop circle punch on this card along with some Modern Medley designer series paper.

September Stamp Club projects

For my Stamp Club this month, the layout is mostly digital using a template in My Digital Studio with some altering.  I added a little strip of card stock to one side an mounted the same side on some Pool Party as well after cutting that side down just a little.

 



 

 

We used the Halloween Bash and Witches' Brew dsp along with the Duo Ticket builder punch for this card...

 

and made a file folder birthday card using the Cycle Celebration stamp set and some Winter Frost specialty paper.

 

On the last card, we did a little sponging and used the Sweater Weather dsp and Wetlands stamp set.
