Clubhouse Birthday

My teenage boys have really started getting into golf lately and since one of them has a birthday on Sunday I thought I would make good use of the Country Club designer series paper and Clubhouse stamp set that are in the mini catalog for his card.

The background is embossed with the retired Decorative Dots folder and there are also die cuts made with the Stitched So Sweetly and Stitched Shapes dies.

Birthday Cake

Birthday cards are appropriate at our house today since my daughter (my baby) turns 14.  She has been with me on this Stampin' Up! journey since day one since I became a demonstrator when she was just three months old.  I am so fortunate she loves to create with me!!

Forever Lovely

The flower images in Forever Lovely are so fun to play with and since this is a photopolymer stamp set, the leaves are simple to line up once you have stamped the flower images as well.  For this card, I used Melon Mambo ink for my flowers and Mossy Meadow ink for the leaves.  If you haven't looked at or tried this stamp set, the flowers you see are one stamp and the leaves are another, not a bunch of separate flowers or leaves...

I added some wood elements that were a Paper Pumpkin gift around a year ago for accents and used the Decorative Dots and Tin Tile folders for the background card stock pieces.

Blended Seasons

The last couple of days my cards have used the Stitched Seasons framelits which I mentioned will be available to purchase August 1st.  This card does as well and also uses the coordinating stamp set called Blended Seasons.  

For the background, I embossed some Melon Mambo card stock with the Decorative Dots folder.  On one card I colored in the flowers with the Pool Party Stampin' Blends and for the other I used the Gorgeous Grape Blends.

To break up the background a little I added some 1/4" Rich Razzleberry velvet ribbon to one and Bermuda Bay chevron ribbon to the other.

Filled With Love and Happiness

We recently had a niece get married and while this isn't the card we gave her, I have been putting together a variety of wedding cards lately so I thought I would share this one with you.

I started with a piece of Melon Mambo card stock that was embossed with the Decorative Dots folder and then I added a piece of Delightfully Detailed Laser Cut specialty paper over the top using rolled up glue dots.

Before adding the sentiment layer that was cut using the Stitched Shapes Framelits, I added a piece of 1/4" Rich Razzleberry Velvet ribbon.

A Beautiful Thing

I again pulled out some leftover pieces that I didn't use on the graduation banner I shared a little while ago to make a couple cards using the Colorful Seasons stamp set.  I really love all the sentiments in this stamp set as well as the variety of image stamps.

The layered circles are cut out with the Stitched Shapes framelits and the Circles framelits.  The bottom layer is also embossed with the Decorative Dots folder.  I chose a pattern from the Delightful Daisies designer series paper pack to go behind the layers and added a couple different types of ribbon to break up the pattern.

Best Thoughts

 

I don't think I have tried this color combination in the past, but I think it will be one I will use again.  The colors are Mint Macaron, Blackberry Bliss and Very Vanilla...

 

I chose the Best Thoughts hostess stamp set for the images and used the Decorative Dots folder on the background.  The popped up layer is cut out using the Labels collection framelits and I added a piece of Farmers Market designer series paper and a little knot made with the Venetian crochet trim ribbon.

Bridal Shower Decorations

Now that the bridal shower I was asked to make decorations for is over, I can share some pictures with you. Ok well, a lot of pictures actually!  

 

I started with some mason jars that I painted with gray and yellow acrylic paint.  Next I added some White Jute ribbon around them and placed a Tea Lace Paper doily under a tissue paper flower.

 

The flowers are all layers of tissue paper that have been cut out with the Big Shot and the Circles framelits.  I did not have access to the Cotton paper that is in the new catalog at the time I made these or I would have tried that instead of the tissue paper.  I imagine the end result would have been pretty close to the same thing.

 

There are little tags hooked onto the kabob sticks that hold the flowers and each are stamped with a sentiment from the For the New Two stamp set.  The tags were created using the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch.

I thought there should be something placed under the jars so I created a mat using different shades of yellow and gray and different embossing folders.  The pieces are attached to a piece of Whisper White card stock.

 

A table frame for the engagement photo had the same type of background as I used on the mats.

 

I had lots and lots of extra flowers so that they could be placed on the tables around the centerpieces to add more decoration and color.

 

For the banner, I used the Chalkboard Banner Simply Created Kit and cut the letters using a retired die called Serif Alphabet.

 

Each end had a tissue paper flower attached.

 

The chalkboard banner pieces were stamped with flower images from Mother's Love using white craft ink and yellow chalk ink. I added a few large rhinestones to some of the flowers as well.

 

It was a fun project to put together and since I did not attend the shower, I just set things up for pictures at home and it doesn't give the same effect as if it was set up for the shower. 

 

 

Bundled Baby

 

I had a bunch of extra embossed card stock leftover from a project that I will share with you in the future and decided to put together some baby cards with it.  The stamp set I used was called Bundled Baby and I colored in the images with markers.

 

The images are punched out and layered using the 1 3/4" and 2" circle punches.

Another graduation card idea today using the Crazy about you and Celebrate Today stamp sets.  I added some banner pieces (you know I have more in my stash from previous projects!) and some Hello Honey thick baker's twine from Sale-a-bration 2015.

 

The confetti images are stamped with Hello Honey and the sentiment with Early Espresso.

Graduation

I have a video to share with you featuring this month's Paper Pumpkin kit before I share a card with you! 

 

A Paper Pumpkin subscription would be a great graduation or Mother's Day gift!!

 

And on to the card (not related to the Paper Pumpkin kit, those ideas will come later!!).

 

It will soon be graduation time again and I thought I better get some cards made while I have a chance!  These are created with the Pomp and Circumstance stamp set and I chose Perfect Plum, Lost Lagoon, Pistachio Pudding and Whisper White for my colors.

 

The circle is embossed with the Decorative Dots folder and my sentiment is punched out with the Note Tag punch.  I added a 2014-5016 In Color button from Sale-a-bration as well.

 

 

This and That Journals

 

I thought I would share some Prayer Journals today because these This and That journals are on the Retiring Accessories list and are also 50% off.  They are great for these journals that I make for confirmation student, just for jotting down reminder, a daily journal, a fun scrap book or whatever you like. 

 



 

They all have a pocket with some envelopes for special things and the pages are all designer paper (tons of different patterns).

I always add different prayers, verses, sayings, song lyrics etc. to the inside.  Then I add some stamped images or stamped verses as well.

Hardwood and Tools

 

April is a busy birthday month for our families and this is one of the cards I put together for a brother-in-law.  It uses the Hardwood background stamp and some leftover pieces from the make and take bag that I share with you before.

 

I used the Guy Greetings stamp set for the tools and sentiment using Baked Brown Sugar and Early Espresso ink.

Hello Baby!

 

During the card making session I mentioned yesterday, I also made sure to get some baby cards made and below are a couple put together with some scraps of designer series paper and the Little Sunshine stamp set.

 

The "hello, baby" pieces are die cut with the Word Bubbles framelits and I added a little washi tape to each of the congratulations sentiments.

 

I always love to add baker's twine or something similar to a card so I threw a little of that on each one as well.
