Birthday Expressions

When we went across the state a couple weeks ago for a baseball tournament, I knew I would be in the hotel room with a lot of downtime and brought a bunch of card pieces to put together.  This is one of the cards I made multiples of using the Eclectic Expressions (SAB 2018) and Guy Greetings stamp sets and the Share What You Love specialty paper.

The label is from the Stitched Label framelits collection and the second pattern of designer series paper is punched out with the Starburst folder.  The cards were quick and easy to put together because I had already stamped, cut and punched everything.

Happy Father's Day

Now that Father's Day has come and gone I have a card to share with you.  It should probably have been one I posted last week...

I chose to base the card on the Coffee Break designer series paper and the new Pinewood Planks embossing folder.  There are two patterns of the designer series paper behind the embossed card stock and sentiment, one is on the backside of the other in the package.

I sponged the Crumb Cake I embossed with some Soft Suede ink to pop out the impressions and added a wood heart leftover from the Sending Love Embellishments package.

December Stamp Club projects

Although I hadn't planned it this way, my project colors coordinate this month centering on Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake and Dapper Denim with a couple added variations.

My layout is fairly plain as I try to always keep them pretty generic so they can be used for whatever occasion my club goers prefer.  I did use the Stitched Shapes framelits on them as accents.

The first card is a masculine birthday card using the Gorgeous Grunge and Guy Greetings stamp sets.  The designer series paper in the background is from the This Christmas specialty designer series paper pack.

The second card uses the same designer series paper along with the Wonder of Christmas stamp set.

July Stamp Club Projects

It is time for stamp club projects again, it seems like the months go faster and faster! 

The first card uses the Guy Greetings stamp set and the Festive embossing folder and Layering squares framelits. 

The second one has quite a few stamps sets incorporated into it including Thankful Thoughts, Butterfly Basics, Over the Rainbow and Sunshine Sayings.  A few of them are only used for the watercolor images. 

Finally, the layout uses some sequins from the June 2016 Paper Pumpkin kit, the From land to sea stamp set and By the Shore designer series paper.

Father's Day part 2

 

Well, here is part two of the Father's Day cards - the one I made for my husband also using the Guy Greetings card set. 

 

I chose the Brick Wall folder for the background embossing on this one and still used the torn corrugated paper and linen thread.  To tear the corrugated paper as I did on these cards, just carefully peel up a corner of the paper and slowly pull down.  It won't be perfect but that is kind of the point...

 

I added another shoe image to the inside layered on some So Saffron card stock with embossing from the Decorative dots folder.

 

The shoes behind the greeting on the front were stamped off on scratch paper but were stamped with Tip Top Taupe ink.

Happy Father's Day part 1

 

I am a little slow in posting today (I thought I had one scheduled, but was mistaken) because we just came home from visiting with family during a wedding celebration. 

 

I thought I would share the cards made for my father and my husband in honor of Father's Day - one today and one tomorrow...this one is the one we gave my dad.

 

The stamp set is Guy Greetings and I added some Cherry on Top designer series paper and washi tape, a layer of Night of Navy that was embossed with the Elegant Dots folder and some of the new Corrugated paper that I ripped one layer off of.

 

A little linen thread and there it is...

Moon Lake

 

Today my husband has a big birthday.  The card I made for him uses the Adventure Bound designer series paper, two different patterns in the pack, and images from Moon Lake and Guy Greetings.

 

I added a matted layer of the same design of dsp over the top of the first one and placed brads in the corners.  After I stamped the Moon Lake images I used some markers to color them in a little bit.

Hardwood and Tools

 

April is a busy birthday month for our families and this is one of the cards I put together for a brother-in-law.  It uses the Hardwood background stamp and some leftover pieces from the make and take bag that I share with you before.

 

I used the Guy Greetings stamp set for the tools and sentiment using Baked Brown Sugar and Early Espresso ink.

More Guy Greetings Ideas

 

Here are a couple more cards using the Guy Greetings stamp set and Adventure Bound designer series paper.  I think the designer series paper adds a lot to the card and haven't added a whole lot more. 

 



 

Behind the sentiment and image layer is a decorative label punched piece of Cherry Cobbler and I have also added a small paper clip from the basic hodgepodge clips assortment.

There is a stamp set in the Occasions catalog called Guy Greetings and it covers lots of different occasions.  I have used three of the images for the cards below and paired this set with the Adventure Bound designer series paper stack.
