Love You

This card uses scraps again and if you follow my blog you will notice that I used another piece of this same pattern of designer series paper recently on another card.  Sometimes I use all the scraps from a piece of designer paper at one sitting and that happened this time...

My background is Tip Top Taupe card stock that was embossed with the Festive folder and then I added my scrap of designer series paper to the top of it.

A few strips of lace trim tied up with some linen thread, my sentiment and die cut complete the card.

Supplies:
Friendly Wishes
Watermelon Wonder ink
Very Vanilla, Watermelon Wonder, Tip Top Taupe card stock
Serene Scenery dsp
lace trim
linen thread
Sunshine Wishes framelits
Festive folder

See the Smile

I love the sentiments in Thankful Thoughts and paired a couple of them with the Helping Me Grow stamp set for this card.

I stared off with a Festive folder embossed background on Wild Wasabi card stock and then stamped my images and sentiments on Crumb Cake card stock.

The flowers are colored in with Peekaboo Peach and Wild Wasabi ink.

Supplies:
Helping Me Grow, Thankful Thoughts
Basic Black, Wild Wasabi, Peekaboo Peach ink
Wild Wasabi, Crumb Cake card stock

Playful Palette washi tape

Festive Jar Card

And back to the Jar of love and Everyday Jars framelits combination again!  I used some Fruit stand designer series paper to stamp my jar on this time and used the lemons print to make it look as though they are in the jar.  There is also another pattern of the same designer series paper behind the jar.

My background is embossed with the Festive folder and I have added some thick white baker's twine around it for texture.

The jar as well as the lid and bow are die cut using the Everyday Jars framelits after I stamped the pieces.

Supplies:
Jar of Love,
Watermelon Wonder, Smoky Slate, Basic Black ink
Whisper White, Soft Sky card stock
Fruit Stand dsp
white thick baker's twine
festive folder
Everyday jars framelits

Under the Weather

One last July 2016 Paper Pumpkin alternative project before we have the August kit arrive...This time I paired the kit pieces with the Ronald McDonald house stamp set called My Hero.

I used part of one of the boxes that looks like it has gold raindrops on it as my background behind the umbrella that was stamped and cut out.

I do not have the Umbrella Weather framelits so I just cut out the pieces with my paper snips.  The box from the Paper Pumpkin kit is just cut out on a couple of the score lines and I cut the tabs off.

Supplies:
My Hero
Sweet Sugarplum, Emerald Envy, Basic Black ink
Emerald Envy, Whisper White card stock
Festive folder
July 2016 Paper Pumpkin
Delicate doily

Look Who's Turning

Last week I needed a card for a 2 year old.  Truthfully before I started I kind of knew I shouldn't put too much time into the card because it would probably be torn apart while it was being opened - and I was correct...but I did make it kind of fun anyway...

I chose the Festive folder for the background texture and added a layer of lots of balloon images.  For the 2, I stamped it and then used the Large numbers framelits to cut it out.

There is a bit of pop of pink washi tape behind the balloon layer as well.

Supplies:
Number of Years, Balloon Celebration
Bermuda Bay, Basic Black ink
Bermuda Bay, Whisper White, Smoky Slate card stock
Large Numbers framelits
Pop of pink washi tape

Baseball Thanks

Baseball season has been over for my boys for a couple weeks, although they both wish they could play year around!  I made a card for one of their coaches using the June 2016 Paper Pumpkin kit along with the Tags and Labels framelits and Festive embossing folder.

The card is a pretty simple one, but I wanted to get the baseball in there as well as the team colors and add a little texture.

Supplies:
June 2016 Paper Pumpkin kit
Timeless Textures
Real Red, Daffodil Delight, Basic Black ink
Basic Black, Whisper White, Daffodil Delight card stock
Tags and labels framelits

July Paper Pumpkin Ideas

As promised last week I have some ideas from the July Paper Pumpkin kit!  The bottom photo shows the projects the kit is intended for - some cute little diamond shaped boxes.  Above that are some card ideas and tomorrow I will show you a scrapbook layout as well.

I cut between the score lines of a box in the kit and created ice cream cones using the Sprinkles of Life stamp set and Tree Builder punch.

The background on top is embossed with the Festive folder and the one below is embossed with the Lovely Lace folder.

I added a few perfect white accents to them both.

Supplies:
July Paper Pumpkin kit
Sprinkles of Life
Soft Suede, So Saffron, Flirty Flamingo, Sahara Sand ink and markers
Smoky Slate, Whisper White, Peekaboo Peach, Delightful Dijon and Crumb Cake card stock
Perfect white accents
Tree builder punch
Lovely Lace folder

July Stamp Club Projects

It is time for stamp club projects again, it seems like the months go faster and faster!

The first card uses the Guy Greetings stamp set and the Festive embossing folder and Layering squares framelits.

The second one has quite a few stamps sets incorporated into it including Thankful Thoughts, Butterfly Basics, Over the Rainbow and Sunshine Sayings.  A few of them are only used for the watercolor images.

Finally, the layout uses some sequins from the June 2016 Paper Pumpkin kit, the From land to sea stamp set and By the Shore designer series paper.

If these projects look like fun, be sure to contact me to find out how you can join us!

New Adventure

Happy 4th of July!  I hope you have a fun and relaxing day, whatever you choose to do.  My family will celebrate as usual in my hometown with a parade and lots of other fun.

While the card I am sharing today doesn't have anything to do with the 4th of July, hopefully you will still enjoy it!

I chose to use the new Festive embossing folder in my background and added some linen thread and a metallic doily as well.  The flowers and sentiment all come from the Wilds About Flowers stamp set and I chose Wisteria Wonder and Wild Wasabi for the colors...I just noticed that my colors and stamp set all start with "W", including the Whisper White, LOL!

Supplies:
Wild about Flowers
Wisteria Wonder, Wild Wasabi, Whisper White card stock
Wisteria Wonder, Wild Wasabi ink
Metallic doilies
linen thread
Festive embossing folder
