So Much So Often

Today's card goes back to using the current catalog products.  I started with the Basket Weave folder on some Soft Suede card stock and then sponged some Soft Suede ink over it to define the embossing.

Next, I added some Bundle of Love specialty paper and linen thread.  The sentiment layer has some leave images from the Butterfly Basics stamp set and the sentiment comes from the Special Celebrations set.  I also added a few basic pearls for accents.

Supplies:
Special Celebrations, Butterfly Basics
Pear Pizzazz, Soft Suede ink
Pool Party, Early Espresso, Soft Suede, Very Vanilla card stock
Bundle of Love specialty paper
Basket weave folder
linen thread
sponges

April Stamp Club Projects

It is time to share my monthly stamp club projects once again.  Since we are still impatiently awaiting spring I tried to incorporate some spring things into the projects this month!

The first card uses Watercolor Wash as a background for the Butterfly Basics images that are popped up on the die cut circle.

For the second card, I chose Painted Harvest and several colors of green for the leaves also incorporating the leaf and classic label punches.

Finally for the layout, I used some Naturally Eclectic designer series paper scallop circle punches - this theme isn't necessarily spring, but the colors are bright and cheerful!

If these projects look like fun, we are always looking for more friends to stamp with us!  I have room in my virtual clubs (every other month) and my monthly stamp club as well.  Contact me for more information.

Brusho Butterfly Basics

For this card, I used some Brusho Crystals and water on watercolor paper and added an image from the Butterfly Basics stamp set in Memento Black ink after it was dry.  I think the background colors got a little too dark for this image so I will have to try something different on the leftover pieces.

I also added some Shimmer ribbon (SAB 2018) for a little accent and left off any sentiments for now.

Supplies:
Butterfly Basics
Memento Black ink
Whisper White, Bermuda Bay card stock
Watercolor paper
Brusho Crystals
Shimmer ribbon pack (SAB 2018)

I've Got This

The sentiment on this card is the reason I purchased this stamp set Sending Thoughts even though I like others in the set.  I know it will be used quite a bit around here...

I paired it with the Butterfly Basics stamp set and the Honeycomb embossing folder.  The striped piece of card stock behind the flower layer is a random Project Life card.

Supplies:
Butterfly Basics, Sending Thoughts
Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Wild Wasabi, Sweet Sugarplum ink and markers
Mint Macaron, Whisper White, Crumb Cake card stock
honeycomb folder
linen thread
Stylish Stems framelits

Lovely Lace

I really like the color combination on this card, it seems soothing so I thought it would be a good sympathy card combination.

The background Dapper Denim card stock is embossed with the Lovely lace folder and I used the Butterfly basics and Better together stamp sets for the image and sentiment.

The card itself isn't complex and can be put together fairly quickly.

Supplies:
Butterfly Basics, Better Together
Dapper Denim, Basic Gray ink
Smoky Slate, Mint Macaron, Dapper Denim card stock
Lovely Lace folder

A Little Bit Vintage

This card came about by using a few leftover pieces from a bridal shower banner I was asked to make for someone.  I will share the banner with you as well - probably next week!

I chose a Crumb Cake base and added a few scrap elements - the doily, very vanilla lace trim and burlap ribbon.

Next I used a leftover piece of Very Vanilla that was embossed with the Lovely Lace folder and sponged with Crumb Cake ink and added a flower image on top of that.  At this point, I left the sentiment off the card.  I will either add one later or leave it as is.

Supplies:
Butterfly Basics
Crumb Cake ink
Very Vanilla, Mint Macaron, Crumb Cake card stock
Lovely Lace folder
sponges
Very Vanilla lace trim
burlap ribbon
Delicate white doilies

Birthday Window

Today is my sister's birthday and I wanted to do something a little different for her card.  I admit, sometimes I pull a birthday card out of the stash for family birthdays, but it usually depends on how busy life is at the moment.  This time I was able to take the time and make the card I wanted for her.

I decided to make a window using the ovals framelits and added some Fabulous Foil designer series paper behind it.  Then, I used some Stampin' dimensionals all the way around the oval and added some sequins from the June Paper Pumpkin kit inside.

Before I attached that piece to the card, I took a piece of Whisper White card stock and embossed it with the Brick Wall folder.  Then I stamped the flower image from the Butterfly Basics stamp set, colored it in and used a sponge to highlight the bricks.  Then I added it to the Peekaboo Peach window layer.

I did a little more distressing and added some basic pearls before the card was completed.

Supplies:
Butterfly Basics, Rose Wonder
Crumb Cake ink
Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Peekaboo Peach card stock
Brick wall folder
sponge
basic pearls
ovals framelits
Fabulous Foil designer series acetate

By the Shore

As I mentioned earlier this week, I have been restocking my sympathy card stash.  This card is a rare time when I pull out my markers and use them to color in an image, it is not my favorite thing mostly because I probably don't practice it enough and think it never looks good enough.

I chose a pattern of designer paper for my background from the By the Shore collection and then added a 2015-2017 In Color doily under the flower image and sentiment.

Around the flower I used an image from the Timeless Textures stamp set as a border.

Supplies:
Butterfly Basics, Flourishing Phrases, Timeless Textures
Night of Navy, Tip Top Taupe, Wild Wasabi, Calypso Coral ink
Very Vanilla, Night of Navy card stock
In Color 2015-2017 doily

July Stamp Club Projects

It is time for stamp club projects again, it seems like the months go faster and faster!

The first card uses the Guy Greetings stamp set and the Festive embossing folder and Layering squares framelits.

The second one has quite a few stamps sets incorporated into it including Thankful Thoughts, Butterfly Basics, Over the Rainbow and Sunshine Sayings.  A few of them are only used for the watercolor images.

Finally, the layout uses some sequins from the June 2016 Paper Pumpkin kit, the From land to sea stamp set and By the Shore designer series paper.

If these projects look like fun, be sure to contact me to find out how you can join us!

The first one uses the Summer Silhouettes and Butterfly Basics stamp sets and I cut out a little flower using the Rose Garden thinlits.

The second is one I know we all need this time of year - a graduation card.  There is a little strip of Schoolhouse designer series paper on the side and I used the BYOP and I Think You're Great stamp sets.

And all the projects together...

Then I added some leaves from the Butterfly Basics stamp set and stamped them both on the Wild Wasabi layer and the card base.

Finally, I used the Blessings from Heaven set for the sentiment and the Butterfly Basics flower for my accented piece.

Watercolor Birthday

I went into the scrap and leftover bin for most of this card using a background that I had already embossed and another background that I had already stamped.

I used a portion of the Watercolor Wash image behind the flower image and then when I went to add the sentiment I decided to add some color to that as well, using an image from For All Things and stamping it over and over again...

Supplies:
Butterfly Basics, For all Things, Watercolor Wash
So Saffron, Memento Black ink
Pistachio Pudding, Tip Top Taupe, Whisper White, Blushing Bride card stock
tea lace paper doilies
Large polka dot folder

Memories

I always seem to run out of sympathy cards either for my own use or for my sister's store.  This one is simple but I like the combination of colors and images.

I chose to use the background stamp from You've Got this in Mint Macaron and then over the top I added the flower from Butterfly Basics in Soft Suede.  The sentiment is retired from the Blessings from Heaven stamp set but it is one I like to keep using and it is stamped on a Deco labels framelit.

Supplies:
Blessings from Heaven, Butterfly Basics, You've Got This
Mint Macaron, Soft Suede ink
Wisteria Wonder, Soft Sky, Whisper White card stock
Deco labels framelits

Quick Birthday

On the card I made today, I am using a piece of designer series paper from something a little bit different.  It is not from a paper pack, but if is part of the packaging used on the Watercolor Wishes card kit.  The kit has a belly band wrapped around it and that is what I cut down to use on this card.

I added a few simple stamped images from the Butterfly Basics stamp set and then added the strip of designer series paper and some linen thread.

Supplies:
Butterfly Basics
Soft Suede, Memento Black ink
Whisper White card stock

Decorative Jar

This little jar called to me one day when I was walking through a craft store :)  I decided to decorate it using the Butterfly Basics, Summer Silhouettes and Gorgeous Grunge stamp sets and some white Corrugated paper.

The jar had rectangular framelike spots on each of four sides that I added panels to and behind those is a layer of white jute ribbon.

Each panel is decorated differently but has a piece of white corrugated paper behind it.

There are two panels that are Lost Lagoon in color and two that are Tip Top Taupe...

I used the butterfly punches a few time as accents and some of the thick baker's twine from Sale-a-bration...

This one has some 1" dotted lace trim that was cut down to narrower pieces...

I put some ribbon inside for picture taking purposes, but would probably fill it with candy or cookies or button or something fun for a door prize or gift...

On the top I cut out more white corrugated paper and a Tip Top Taupe piece that were cut from the circles framelits and added some stamps and accents.

Underneath the top circle, I wrapped some 1" dotted lace ribbon and thick baker's twine around the corrugated paper and tied it with some linen thread...

Supplies:
Butterfly Basics, Gorgeous Grunge, Summer Silhouettes
Lost Lagoon, Tip Top Taupe card stock
White corrugated paper
Tip Top Taupe, Lost Lagoon ink
linen thread
butterfly punches
white jute ribbon
1" dotted lace trim
