I Think You're Great

The kids finished school for the year this week and I always give their teachers a little something to say thank you for a great year.  For the female teachers, I put together a set of 5 or 6 cards in a box and decorate it a little bit.

For the male teachers, I like to do something different so this year I purchased some gift cards from the Dairy Queen and made some cards to put them in.

The I Think You're Great stamp set and some designer series paper (Going Places and English Garden) did the trick for these two cards.

Supplies:
I Think You're Great
Lost Lagoon Ink
Whisper White, Lost Lagoon, Mossy Meadow, Soft Suede card stock
2" circle punch
English Garden and Going Places designer series paper

May Stamp Club part 2

On to the cards I used for my stamp club group...

The first one uses the Summer Silhouettes and Butterfly Basics stamp sets and I cut out a little flower using the Rose Garden thinlits.

The second is one I know we all need this time of year - a graduation card.  There is a little strip of Schoolhouse designer series paper on the side and I used the BYOP and I Think You're Great stamp sets.

And all the projects together...

Supplies:
Butterfly Basics, Summer Silhouettes, I Think You're Great, BYOP
Daffodil Delight, Basic Black, Tip Top Taupe ink
Very Vanilla, Tip Top Taupe, Whisper White card stock
Schoolhouse dsp
Rose garden thinlits
metallic doilies
designer buttons

Great!

This card is another that will be a Stamp A Stack option in the future.  I chose Cajun Craze and Delightful Dijon as my main colors (two that I rarely use) and added some Very Vanilla and Tip Top Taupe.

The strip of designer series paper is from the Color Me Irresistible specialty paper pack and I cut up a piece of 1" dotted lace trim and stapled it onto that strip.

Supplies:
I Think You're Great
Cajun Craze, Delightful Dijon ink
Very Vanilla, Tip Top Taupe card stock
1" dotted lace trim
Color me Irresistible specialty paper
1 3/4" and 2" circle punches

Happy Happenings

I was playing around with some extra butterflies that I die cut awhile ago and had just left on my table for inspiration and came up with this card.

I first took one of the butterflies and cut off a little bit of the each end of the middle and wrapped linen thread around it.  Then I attached another butterfly behind in but only in the middle so it has some dimension.

The stamped background behind the butterfly is an image from I Think You're Great that I stamped twice and the sentiments are from the Happy Happenings stamp set.

Supplies:
Happy Happenings, I Think You're Great
Pool Party, Crumb Cake, Smoky Slate ink
Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Pool Party card stock
Schoolhouse dsp
linen thread
Smoky Slate chevron ribbon
Deco labels framelits
Butterfly thinlits

A Happy Hello

This is a pretty simple card to put together when you are trying to make fun projects and do not have a lot of time (like trying to get so many things ready before you harvest potatoes, LOL!).

I used a strip of Corrugated paper that I had in the scrap bin and stamped a background image from I Think You're Great on a Very Vanilla card base.  Then, I used a die cut from the Tags and Labels framelits and added a sentiment from the Tin of Cards stamp set.

A little piece of 1" dotted lace trim stapled to the die cut and there you go!

Supplies:
Tin of Cards, I Think You're Great
Delightful Dijon, Soft Suede ink
Corrugated Paper
Very Vanilla card stock
Tags and Labels framelits
1" Tip Top Taupe dotted lace trim

You're Great

Another example of how I sit down to create when I don't get much time in the stamp room - more scraps of Farmers Market designer series paper...well, they were sitting on top of the scrap pile so they ended up there.  Maybe I need a better system!

I added part of the Watercolor Wash image behind some layers that was stamped with So Saffron ink..

Both ends of the layer with the 5/8" satin ribbon were punched with the Ornate tag topper punch and then I added some white perfect accents and neutrals sequins.

Supplies:
I think you're great
Mint Macaron, So Saffron ink
Mint Macaron, Whisper White, Crumb Cake card stock
Farmers market dsp
5/8" white satin ribbon
Ornate tag topper punch
1 3/4" and 2" circle punches
white perfect accents
neutrals sequins

June Stamp Club Projects

For this month's stamp club projects I chose to use mostly new catalog items with the exception of some of the card stocks and the Summer Silhouettes stamp set which is used on the layout.

For the designer series paper I chose the Bohemian collection and used colors that coordinated with that including Blackberry Bliss, Delightful Dijon, Very Vanilla, Island Indigo and Bermuda Bay.

I stayed with the Bohemian theme for the first card using Boho Chic as the textured impressions folder on the Mint Macaron background.

And the final card uses what is now one of my favorite stamp sets in the catalog (although that will change many times throughout the year!) - You've Got This.

Supplies:
You've Got This, I Think You're Great, Summer Silhouettes
Delightful Dijon, Bermuda Bay, Mint Macaron, Pink Pirouette, Watermelon Wonder, Tip Top Taupe and Cucumber Crush ink and markers
Blackberry Bliss, Delightful Dijon, Very Vanilla, Island Indigo, Bermuda Bay, Mint Macaron, Watermelon Wonder, Tip Top Taupe card stock
1 3/4", 2" circle punch
Cherry on Top, Bohemian dsp
Boho Chic impressions folder
Tip Top Taupe 1" dotted lace trim
Note tag punch

I Think You're Great!

Well, I hope that I can keep posting steadily again, but we will see!  The crops are all in (YEAH!!) but we still have some potatoes to ship, hopefully that will also be completed this week though.

This card uses the stamp set in the new catalog called I Think You're Great.  The "hi" image could be punched out with the Tree Builder punch but in this case, I just used my paper snips to cut it out.

I added a strip of the Envelope paper in Tip Top Taupe behind the sentiment and also a little piece of Mint Macaroon 1" dotted lace trim.

Supplies:
I think you're great
Cucumber Crush, Watermelon Wonder ink
Whisper White card stock
Envelope paper
1" Mint Macaroon dotted lace trim
staples
