A Cup of Cheer

I am back!  Hopefully consistently :)  We finished planting potatoes which is awesome and will hopefully give me a little more time to create.  Sadly, my preorder goodies arrived last Monday and I didn't even get a chance to look in the box until yesterday!

On to the card for today....

I used some Color me irresistible specialty paper and a past Paper Pumpkin stamp set on this card pairing it with the Cups and Kettle Framelits and A Nice Cuppa stamp set.

There are a few little It's My Party enamel dots for accents as well.

Supplies:
A Nice Cuppa, Paper Pumpkin
Mint Macaron, Watermelon Wonder, Basic Gray, Whisper White card stock
Color me irresistible specialty paper
It's my party enamel dots
Cups and kettles framelits

You're the Best

My posts for the next few weeks might not be everyday...I will get as many in as I can though!  We will be planting potatoes pretty soon and have a few other things happening as well so I don't get to the stamp room often in May.

On to the card for today!  I used the Sunburst Sayings stamp set in the Occasions catalog and paired it with some Color Me Irresistible specialty paper.

I used my Delightful Dijon stamp pad directly on the specialty paper and then wiped off the excess with a tissue.

I stamped, cut out and popped up one of my "You're the best" images...

Supplies:
Sunburst Sayings
Delightful Dijon, Early Espresso, Old Olive ink
Soft Suede, Whisper White, Old Olive card stock

Titan Basketball

This is another layout that comes a year or so after the fact, LOL!  I tried to tie in the team colors and used some Silver foil sheets, Project Life pieces and Color me irresistible specialty paper.

There is nothing fancy about the layout or the elements, but I do like the way it turned out.

Supplies:
Basic Black, Smoky Slate, Whisper White card stock
Project life cards and stickers
hodgepodge clips
Silver foil sheets

Fear Not

I have been sharing creations made with the Rose Wonder stamp set quite a bit, but there is a reason for that!  The sayings in the set are very versatile and I just love that!

This is one of my stamp a stack cards at the moment and the background uses the Woodland folder and a piece of the Color Me Irresistible specialty paper.

Supplies:
Rose Wonder
Baked Brown Sugar, Delightful Dijon ink
Baked Brown Sugar, Very Vanilla card stock
Color me irresistible specialty paper

Sixth Grade

This scrapbook page is actually made with a current grade class picture!  Usually I am years behind on adding these to the scrapbook :)

I started with a 12" x 12" piece of Night of Navy and then added some stamped images from the Stamp a Bag stamp set.

Next, I added some Color Me Irresistible Specialty paper, essentials wooden elements and the picture.

Supplies:
Stamp a Bag
Night of Navy ink
Night of Navy, Crumb Cake, Hello Honey, Whisper White card stock
Color me irresistible specialty paper

Great!

This card is another that will be a Stamp A Stack option in the future.  I chose Cajun Craze and Delightful Dijon as my main colors (two that I rarely use) and added some Very Vanilla and Tip Top Taupe.

The strip of designer series paper is from the Color Me Irresistible specialty paper pack and I cut up a piece of 1" dotted lace trim and stapled it onto that strip.

Supplies:
I Think You're Great
Cajun Craze, Delightful Dijon ink
Very Vanilla, Tip Top Taupe card stock
1" dotted lace trim
Color me Irresistible specialty paper
1 3/4" and 2" circle punches

August Stamp Club Projects

Where does the time go?  Time to share stamp club projects again!  This month I chose to focus on the Farmers Market designer series paper and the colors that coordinate for the layout.

The first card shown uses Watercolor Wishes and Big on You (which was in the occasions catalog) but for our club I actually used the Hello Life stamp set sentiment.

The second card focuses on the Color Me Irresistible specialty paper and Serene Silhouettes.  The sentiment is from the Watercolor Wishes card kit stamp set.

Again, the layout...

We always have room if these project look like fun - both in person and virtually, the Stamp Clubs are a blast.  Let me know if you are interested in joining us!

Everyone Wishes

Do you ever sit down to make a card and find yourself grabbing colors and scraps from a project you created the last time you sat down?  I seem to do that a lot, maybe because I REALLY need to reduce my scrap pile!

You  might notice that there is a piece of Black Color Me Irresistible specialty paper on this card and that I used some of the same design on the project I shared a couple days ago using the Tin of Cards Project Kit...

In addition to the specialty paper, I used a piece of Neutrals color collection designer series paper behind the sentiment.

I have again cut down some 1" dotted lace trim (this time in Mint Macaron) and looped it around behind the sentiment layer.  I think I tend to cut it down more often that I use it whole.

Supplies:
Friendly Wishes
Memento Black, Lost Lagoon and Watermelon Wonder ink and markers
Whisper White, Basic Gray, Lost Lagoon card stock
Color Me Irresistible specialty paper
Neutrals color collection designer series paper
1" dotted lace trim (Mint Macaron)

Tin of Cards

I just love the project kit options in the 2015-2016 Catalog and Idea Book!  There are so many different options and probably at least one for everyone :)  Today I am going to share what I did with the Tin of Cards Project Kit.  For the most part, I did at least one of each of the card designs in the instructions (did I mention that there are instructions to make it easy for you?!).

I did add some variations using extra pieces from the kit and added a couple pieces of Color Me Irresistible specialty paper as well.

You will see in the card below that instead of using the multicolored piece of designer paper in the window, I used a piece of card stock from the Color Me Irresistible specialty paper collection so I cut down the piece of designer paper that I didn't use on this one and used it on other cards...

The stamp set that coordinates with the kit is called Tin of Cards and is sold separately, but it very versatile and can be used long after the tin of cards are created.

This was such a fun project!  I am looking forward to working with my nieces to put together their own kits very soon, I know they will have some great alternative ideas as well!

Love

I really love the Watercolor Words stamp set and have been using it quite often (when my daughter hasn't borrowed it and forgotten to return it!).  I chose the "love" sentiment for this card thinking it may end up as a wedding or anniversary card some day.

The black layer is some Color Me Irresistible specialty paper and on top of that I added some white corrugated paper and a piece of Neutrals color collection designer series paper.

Behind the sentiment I added some silver metallic thread.  I really like the layers and textures that come through on this card.

Supplies:
Watercolor Words
Memento Black, Real Red ink
Whisper White, Real Red card stock
White corrugated paper
Color Me Irresistible specialty paper
Neutrals Color Collection designer series paper
Silver metallic thread

Silver Linings

I decided to try out some Color Me Irresistible specialty designer paper one day and then paired the Sprinkles of Life stamp set with it because of the clouds.

I added some silver metallic thread behind the clouds that were punched out with the tree builder punch and then a sentiment and some little flowers.

If you can't see on the picture, the Color Me Irresistible specialty paper has some embossed raindrops on it and there are other patterns in the pack with embossing as well both in color and on white (so you can color it yourself).

Supplies:
Sprinkles of Life
Lost Lagoon, Mint Macaron, Watermelon Wonder ink
Whisper White card stock
Color Me Irresistible specialty paper
tree builder punch
banner triple punch
silver metallic thread
