More June Paper Pumpkin Alternative Cards

As promised yesterday, I have four more alternative card ideas for you using the June Paper Pumpkin kit and a few other products. On the first two cards, I used the Countryside Corners dies to cut out a piece off the card base and then added one of the designs from the Countryside Inn designer series paper collection to the inside of the base so it would show through on the front. I also cut down one of the pieces from the kit using the same dies, then layered it on top of the designer series paper on the card on the right.

I used a couple die cuts of leaves I had sitting on my table along with a few flowers made with the stamp set in the kit and the add on dies.

In the above picture, the card on the right has the piece that I die cut out of one of the card bases used as a background piece. For the background in the card on the right, I cut down one of the Night of Navy card bases and embossed it with the Countryside Blossoms folder.

The last picture again shows the cards as they were designed a couple variations.

June Paper Pumpkin with Alternatives

Sometimes I enjoy sitting down to put together my Paper Pumpkin kit as the designers intended and other times, I like to create some alternative projects. This month, I put together two of each of the cards as intended (with slight variations) which you can see in the first picture below. Then, I made six more cards some of the remaining pieces of the kit along with a few other products.

I will share two of the alternative cards with you today and the other four tomorrow...

On the cards in the picture below, I used the optional add on dies called the Welcome in Dies along with the Countryside Corners dies, Countryside Blossoms Embossing folder, Sentimental Park stamp set, Twisted Rope 3D embossing folder, 1/8" ribbon combo pack, Tinsel Gems three pack and Delightfully Eclectic designer series paper.

So Sorry

I really liked the sentiments in the Bouquet of Hope Paper Pumpkin kit we received a few months ago and while I usually don't save the stamp sets from the kits, I did save this one.

Supplies:
Art Gallery, Bouquet of Hope Paper Pumpkin kit stamp
Merry Merlot, Flirty Flamingo ink
Whisper White, Mint Macaron card stock
Square vellum doily
Stitched nested labels

Twinkle Twinkle

There are some really fun baby stamp sets in the new catalog and for the card shown today I chose the Little Twinkle set paired with the Twinkle Twinkle designer series paper.  There are some coordinating enamel adhesive stars in the collection as well as a moon and stars punch, but I didn't add them to this card.

I started with a base of Basic Gray and stamped some stars onto it with Smoky Slate ink.  Then I added my card stock and designer series paper layers.  The Twinkle sentiment is stamped on some leftover Paper pumpkin elements.

Supplies:
Little Twinkle
Night of Navy, Smoky Slate ink
Basic Gray, Whisper White card stock

I added a few Sending love embellishments and lace doilies as accents as well.

Full Heart

I always like to play with the little gift bags, whether it is the kraft style or this translucent Sketched dots one...

I used a left over heart and banner piece from the January Paper Pumpkin kit alone with a Project Life card that I had been saving the for something (although I don't know what!).  Behind the card that I cut down, I added some 1" dotted lace trim.

I placed a piece of Crumb Cake card stock on the inside and closed it with a mini clothespin.

Last Minute Gift Idea

For those of you late shoppers, I wanted to share a great idea for a last minute gift.  The Paper Pumpkin kits can be purchased as a 1 month, 3 month, 6 month or 12 month subscription right here or here.  They contain precut pieces, stamps, ink, adhesive and directions to make a fun project every month.  The kits are always a surprise until they arrive, we don't get to see them in advance - that is part of the fun too!

So, if you have someone on your list that might enjoy some monthly crafting fun make sure to start a gift subscription right here!

Dreamers of Dreams

Again I am back with a sample canvas for an upcoming class.  I once again used the denim background, this time stamping with the set Be the Star and Garden Green, Memento Black and Metallic Gold ink.

I used some little wooden stars from the Happy Thoughts Paper Pumpkin kit randomly around the canvas...

and added some Winter Wonderland designer vellum behind some Project Life banner pieces...

more pieces from the Moments Like These Project Life collection...

and another...

The quote also comes from the Moments Like These Project Life kit.

Before I added any elements to the page, I distressed the denim with some of the denim glaze that I purchased at the same time I bought the canvases, that is the whitish color you see in the background...

Supplies:
Be the Star
Memento Black, Garden Green Metallic Gold ink
Be the Star
Basic Black card stock

Love You Canvas

As I prepare for a class I am teaching at a retreat next month, I am making a few samples for the class participants to view before they make their own.  I shared this one awhile ago and today I have another idea to share.

For this canvas, I started with a black background and rubbed some Craft white ink around it.  Then, I stamped an image from Chalk Lines a couple times and then started adding the elements.

I chose some corrugated paper (both the white and craft colors), some sequins, twine and wooden hearts from a past Paper Pumpkin kit and a title from the Friendly Wishes stamp set.

I also cut up a Polka Dot bag and used it behind my matted picture.

Supplies:
Friendly Wishes, Chalk Lines
Craft White and Memento Black ink
Basic Black, Tempting Turquoise card stock
Corrugated paper
past Paper Pumpkin elements
Triple Banner punch
Tea lace paper doilies
Polka Dot bags
In color blossom accents 2015-2017

Wild Pumpkin Birthday

Well, there are no wild pumpkins in the picture like the title says but I used the Go Wild designer series paper and a previous Paper Pumpkin stamp on the card :)

I am running into the end of my projects that I made before harvest started!  We have finished the soybeans so all crops are now completed, but there is still quite a bit of work to do before I have more time to stamp.  Hopefully soon!

Supplies:
Paper Pumpkin stamp set
Lost Lagoon ink

14

My oldest son has friends that are turning 14 already, although he is about the youngest one in the class so it will be awhile yet for him.  This is a card I made for one of his friends birthdays not too long ago using the Larger than Life Alphabet and Numbers stamp set along with the Stamp A Bag stamp set.

I also used some washi tape from the Watercolor Wishes project kit and some stars from the June Paper Pumpkin kit.  (Those kit pieces are popping up everywhere in my projects these days!)

There is also a strip of Farmers Market designer series paper and the dots in the background behind the numbers are from the Homemade for You stamp set.

I decided to add some fun to the inside of the card as well using more pieces from the June Paper Pumpkin kit and a sentiment from the Tin of Card stamp set.

Supplies:
Tin of Cards, Homemade for you, Larger than Life Alphabet and Numbers, Stamp A Bag stamp sets
Tip Top Taupe, Night of Navy ink
Night of Navy, Very Vanilla, Old Olive card stock
June Paper Pumpkin kit
Watercolor Wishes card kit
linen thread
circles framelits
