Warm Wishes

This is the second card I used in a swap recently and it uses the Winter Wonderland designer vellum.  I first embossed my Soft Suede card stock with the Brick Wall folder and then cut a circle out of it with the Circles framelits.

Then, I added the vellum behind it and my stamping and embellishments.

As I was putting these cards together, the photographer for the local newspaper was walking around taking pictures of the retreat and had me tie some ribbon in a posed shot (I think it looks a little silly, LOL!)...

Supplies:
Warm Wishes
Crumb Cake, Basic Black ink
Soft Suede, Very Vanilla card stock
Winter Wonderland designer vellum
Brick wall folder
Circles framelits
1" Delightful Dijon dotted lace trim
gold baker's twine
Venetian crochet trim
basic pearls

Dreamers of Dreams

Again I am back with a sample canvas for an upcoming class.  I once again used the denim background, this time stamping with the set Be the Star and Garden Green, Memento Black and Metallic Gold ink.

I used some little wooden stars from the Happy Thoughts Paper Pumpkin kit randomly around the canvas...

and added some Winter Wonderland designer vellum behind some Project Life banner pieces...

more pieces from the Moments Like These Project Life collection...

and another...

The quote also comes from the Moments Like These Project Life kit.

Before I added any elements to the page, I distressed the denim with some of the denim glaze that I purchased at the same time I bought the canvases, that is the whitish color you see in the background...

Winter Wishes

The images in the Winter Wishes stamp set (Holiday catalog page 13) are just awesome ones in my opinion.  I will definitely be using them on some scrapbook pages as well as some cards for winter things.

On this card, I paired the stamp set with some Winter Wonderland designer vellum and a Metallic foil doily.  When I stamped my sentiment, I used a piece leftover card stock from another project that I had used with the background stamp Watercolor Wash.

Supplies:
Winter Wishes, Watercolor Wash
Soft Suede, Lost Lagoon ink
Lost Lagoon, Whisper White card stock
Metallic foil doilies
Winter Wonderland designer vellum

Best Day

A little bit of Holiday Catalog and a little bit of the Idea Book come together on this wedding card.  I chose the Birthday Blossoms and For the New Two stamp sets from the Idea Book using Wisteria Wonder and Pear Pizzazz ink.  Then to add some accents I chose the Winter wonderland washi tape and designer vellum stack, using the washi tape to attach the vellum to the card base.

I also added an Iced Rhinestone embellishment to the note tag punched piece and some basic rhinestones.

Supplies:
Birthday Blossoms, For the New Two
Pear Pizzazz, Wisteria Wonder ink
Whisper white card stock
Winter Wonderland designer vellum stack
Winter wonderland washi tape
Iced rhinestones embellishments
basic rhinestones

August Paper Pumpkin Take 3

Finally, the last sample from the Paper Pumpkin kit that arrived in August...

I have part of the cut up box on the page as well as the piece of Chalkboard paper that I had cut out a circle from to use on a card...

There is a piece of English Garden designer series paper added as well as some Winter Wonderland vellum.

The sentiment is from Friendly Wishes and I found some other fun embellishments to add as well.

Make sure to get in line for next month's fun kit!  You can purchase one by clicking here.

August Paper Pumpkin Take 1

I am going to break up sharing the August Paper Pumpkin ideas into three parts.  Given that I will soon be harvesting potatoes and not able to find time to stamp, I should probably stretch that into about 4 parts, but I figured that was too many!

The last few months, the first thing that happens when the Paper Pumpkin kit arrives is my daughter asks me if she can have it!  She is 9 1/2 and loves all things about paper crafting which is great.  I gave her one of each item this time to play with...soon I will probably just have to get another box for her :)

There were three precut, prescored boxes in the kit so after giving her one, I had two more to play with.  The first one (above) I made mostly like the sample.  You can probably see on the close up that I stamped the "for you" more than once - I used the yellow chalk box ink and white craft so it is kind of shadowed and stands out a little bit.

For the second box, I went to the paper cutter before doing anything else and cut off the top and flaps of the box.  Some of those pieces end up on other projects you will see later.  Then, I made a piece out of Very Vanilla card stock that slides over the box to close it.

I added a piece of Winter Wonderland designer vellum and the banner piece and sentiment tag.  On these two boxes, I only used the stamps that came with the kit but you will find in the next two segments that I added a few others into the mix.
