Picture Perfect

This layout uses another pretty old picture that I came across and I happened to have some wallet sized ones with it so I wanted to use them in the layout as well. 

My stamp set is again the hostess set called Pun Intended and I used some retired English Garden designer series paper.

The Very Best

As I was using some of my retiring English Garden designer series paper, I decided to use a retiring stamp set as well - Everything Eleanor.  It is paired with a sentiment from Wild About Flowers.

Keeping with the color scheme of the designer series paper, I Night of Navy and Tip Top Taupe ink.  For the Tip Top Taupe layer, I stamped on scratch paper first to lighten the image.

I added a Tea lace paper doily and an In Color Blossom to complete the card.

You Make Me

 

Perfect Pennants is one of the retiring stamp sets so I wanted to make another card with it before its time is over (there may be more before the month is over too!).  

 

I pulled out my Chevron border punch and punched out of some Shine on specialty paper before adding card stock behind it.  I added some little silver stamped images from the All about Everything stamp set too.

You are My Everything

 

As promised, another project using the All about everything stamp set!  This one also uses extra items from the April 2016 Paper Pumpkin subscription.  

 

On the edges of my Kraft card stock, I added 1/4" x 12" pieces of English Garden designer series paper as a frame.

 

The leaves layered on the bottom of the strip of designer series paper are extras that did not need to make the wreath in the Paper Pumpkin kit (I actually have quite a few more too and they already have adhesive on them!).

 

A little bit of stamping, corrugated paper and enamel dots and this page is complete!

Printer's Tray

As part of my dad's birthday gift a week or so ago, I made this printer's tray for him with a photo I took of him and three of his grandchildren last summer at the lake. 

 



 

I seem to get the best pictures of dad and the kids at the lake so it just seemed like a good photo to use even though there are three of the grandkids missing from this one. 

 

 

I used some English Garden designer series paper, corrugated paper and Lost Lagoon, Night of Navy, Old Olive and Tip Top Taupe card stock.

For stamp sets, I chose the Going Global, In the Meadow and All about Everything sets.  All about everything is the one we received as a bonus in the last Paper Pumpkin subscription.

 

I added some enamel dots and buttons for accents as well.

I haven't made too many cards with the from Land to Sea stamp set since I purchased it, even though it is great for masculine cards.  For this one, I decided to pair it with the Perfect Pairings set from Sale-a-bration.  I added some English Garden designer series paper as well.

I really like the versatility of the sayings in the Something to Say stamp set.  It is the one I chose for this simple card and I paired it with some English Garden designer series paper.

 

I punched out my sentiment with the Label bracket punch and added some white corrugated paper behind it.

For the Easter card I have to share with you today, I chose to use the Kinda Eclectic and Suite Sayings stamp sets.

 

I have added a piece of English Garden designer series paper behind the sentiment and cut the two corners of my Hello Honey layer with the Curvy Corner Trio punch.

Long Altered Notepad

 

Quite awhile ago I went into an office supply store and purchased a package of note pads and then had them cut the pads into 3 pieces the long way... Well needless to say you end up with quite a few notepads and I have lots left to use up!  

 

I put this one together quickly by cutting a piece of the white card board that comes with the designer series paper packages  and adding some Neutrals color collection designer series paper to it with a glue stick. 

 

Then, I attached the note pad to that with some tear and tape adhesive and added some decorations using the All God's Grace stamp set, itty bitty punches and basic rhinestones.

The Great Hunter

 

My oldest son went on his second deer hunt this fall and it was again a successful (and quick) hunt.  We are fortunate to live along the river and have some nice places to look for deer right in our backyard.  

 

I didn't get as many pictures this year as I did for his first one a year before so I made this layout a one photo page. 

 

I stamped some evergreens from the Lovely as a Tree stamp set and added some English Garden designer series paper, burlap ribbon and some elements from a Project Life collection.

December Stamp Club Projects

 

This month's stamp club projects were a mix of things - a masculine birthday card, a Christmas card and a layout that is kind of spring like...

 

For the Christmas card, I chose the Home for the Holidays designer series paper and Peaceful Pines stamp set...

 

and the masculine card uses an image from Traveler and sentiment from Tin of Cards over some Typeset specialty paper...

 

On the layout, I chose to use the Summer Silhouettes stamp set and English Garden designer series paper along with some of the Envelope paper...

One Big Occasion, Two Different Ideas

 

Sometimes when you get those professional photos of big life events or sports  it is hard to figure out how to handle the composite for a scrapbook page and sometimes it makes it so much easier...For Maddie's First Communion and Confirmation I decided to do two totally unmatched pages for her - one using the composite pictures and another with ones I took.

 

For the professional picture, I left it all mounted as it came and added some Timeless Elegance designer series paper to a piece of Cherry Cobbler card stock that I stamped some flower images on using the stamp set from the October Paper Pumpkin kit. 

 

Then, I took one of the sentiment stamps from All God's Grace and used a Cherry Cobbler marker on it so I could eliminate part of the wording. 

For the page with less formal pictures, I used some English Garden designer series paper and the same stamp set - All God's Grace. 

 

I cut out words from that stamp set and one from the Project Life Seasonal Snapshot 2015 set for my title.

 

The pictures took up the majority of the page even after I cut some of them down, but I still added some metal rimmed pearls and a tea lace doily for accents.

Heartfelt Sympathy

 

I needed a couple sympathy cards this week and rather than go into my stash of cards I decided to make new ones.  The cards are almost the same with the exception of the pieces behind the sentiment.  For the first one I chose another piece of designer paper from the English Garden package that I used for the background.

 

On the second card, I used the same background but instead of a layer of designer series paper and card stock, I just used the card stock.

 

I like them both, but I think the second one looks less busy so that turned out to be my favorite.

Knew You Could, Knew You Would!

 

Swimming is a great exercise for Maddie to strengthen her right side so we try to use our pool as much as possible in the summer.  Swimming lessons at the pool in town are a good way for her to see how much stronger all that extra time in the water makes her and this year was no exception.  She was able to pass her lessons pretty easily this summer and was so proud afterward!

 

I kind of matched the pattern on her swim suit with the Go Wild designer series paper on this page and added some English Garden designer series paper that had one of the colors in her suit too.

 

The Bravo stamp set worked great for the title and I used two of the sentiments from that set. 

 

Finally I added some washi tape from the Watercolor Wishes card kit and some Calypso Coral thick bakers twine.
