Watercolor Thank You

Today I have a couple cards to share with you that both use the same stamp set called Watercolor Thank You.  I also used the Timeless Textures set on both of them.

The first one also has some Wink of Stella Glitter brush used in the background of the sentiment which is hard to see in the pictures.  I wrapped some gold baker's twine around the Hello Honey card stock before adding it to my base as well.

On the second card, I added some Timeless Elegance designer series paper and Basic pearls.

Supplies:
Watercolor thank you, Timeless Elegance
Night of Navy, Sahara Sand, Watermelon Wonder ink
Whisper White, Hello Honey, Night of Navy card stock
Timeless Elegance dsp
Hello honey stitched satin ribbon
basic pearls
Wink of Stella glitter brush
gold baker's twine

April Stamp Club Projects

I wanted to go with a spring theme somewhat this month with my projects.  For that purpose, I chose the Helping me Grow stamp set for one of the cards and also on the layout.

On the first card, I also used the Watercolor Wash and Gorgeous Grunge stamp sets and several of the In colors that will be retiring soon.

After I made this one, I decided to change the ink color for the background from Pear Pizzazz (on the above card) to Soft Sky.  It looks much better although I didn't take a picture of that one.

I went with one of my favorite designer series papers on the second card - Timeless Elegance and used a stamp from a retired hostess set for the sentiment.

Supplies:
Helping Me Grow
Gorgeous Grunge
Watercolor Wash
Basic Black, Blackberry Bliss, Pear Pizzazz, Lost Lagoon, Hello Honey ink
Whisper White, Very Vanilla, Perfect Plum, Pink Pirouette, Soft Suede, Old Olive, Lost Lagoon, Hello Honey, Shimmery White card stock

Just for You

My creativity has been severely lacking lately, I am hoping it is just this terrible cold that won't go away that is causing it!  This is a card I made a few days ago while working on a customer order.  It uses the Botanicals for You stamp set (SAB 2016) and some Timeless Elegance designer series paper.

I wanted to add bright colors to the card even though I was using the Timeless Elegance designer series paper so I added some Bermuda Bay, Rich Razzleberry and Daffodil Delight.

Supplies:
Botanicals for You (SAB 2016)
Basic Black, Rich Razzleberry, Daffodil Delight, Bermuda Bay ink
Rich Razzleberry, Bermuda Bay, Very Vanilla card stock

One Big Occasion, Two Different Ideas

Sometimes when you get those professional photos of big life events or sports  it is hard to figure out how to handle the composite for a scrapbook page and sometimes it makes it so much easier...For Maddie's First Communion and Confirmation I decided to do two totally unmatched pages for her - one using the composite pictures and another with ones I took.

For the professional picture, I left it all mounted as it came and added some Timeless Elegance designer series paper to a piece of Cherry Cobbler card stock that I stamped some flower images on using the stamp set from the October Paper Pumpkin kit.

Then, I took one of the sentiment stamps from All God's Grace and used a Cherry Cobbler marker on it so I could eliminate part of the wording.

For the page with less formal pictures, I used some English Garden designer series paper and the same stamp set - All God's Grace.

I cut out words from that stamp set and one from the Project Life Seasonal Snapshot 2015 set for my title.

The pictures took up the majority of the page even after I cut some of them down, but I still added some metal rimmed pearls and a tea lace doily for accents.

Supplies:
All God's Grace, Seasonal Snapshot 2015 Project Life, October Paper Pumpkin
Soft Suede ink
Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler, Soft Suede, Crisp Cantaloupe, Hello Honey card stock
English Garden, Timeless Elegance dsp
tea lace doilies
metal rimmed pearls
2" circle punch
2 3/8" scalloped circle punch
designer buttons

Stronger Thank You Think

Today's card that I am sharing uses the You've Got This and Heartfelt Sympathy stamp sets.  I chose to add some Timeless Elegance designer series paper and Venetian crochet trim ribbon to the card base as well and I like how that part turned out a lot.

The sentiment and mat are cut out with the Ovals collection framelits.  While I really like the way this card turned out, I think next time I would use a different color for the background stamp, this one seems a little too dark (Pear Pizzazz).  Maybe Crumb Cake or Soft Sky...

Finally a little button with some linen thread through it as an accent (and because I am covering up a little smudge!).

Supplies:
Heartfelt Sympathy, You've Got This
Pear Pizzazz, Memento Black ink
Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Soft Sky card stock
Timeless Elegance dsp
Ovals collection framelits
linen thread
Venetian crochet trim
designer button

Timeless Sympathy

This card is one that I put together for my Stamp A Stacks that I think will be a hit.  It is quite simple, but the Timeless Elegance designer series paper pairs well with the Heartfelt Sympathy stamp set I think.

For the New Two

Recently, the kids and I went to a wedding and I had made a card using the Timeless Elegance designer series paper and the For the New Two stamp set for the happy couple.  Of course, I didn't remember to take pictures of it while I had my nice lighting in the stamp room...

I did take pictures, which are below (but I apologize for the darker images!) but I also wanted to recreate the card and take a better picture.  The card below was the do over, although it is not exactly the same as the first one...

The second picture and several below it, are the original card.  I also added an image from Summer Silhouettes to the background of both the card and the envelope.

I cut up some Venetian trim ribbon and tied that along with some linen thread in the corner of the sentiment.

Both cards had some metal rimmed pearls on them and on the envelope I added an Expressions natural element and some more designer series paper and linen thread.

So, the original card...

And the do over card...

I chose to use the Elegant Dots folder on the background of the do over card and added a few little different accents.

Supplies:
For the New Two, Summer Silhouettes
Memento Black ink
Very Vanilla, Basic Black, Lost Lagoon card stock
Timeless Elegance designer series paper
Metal rimmed pearls
Elegant Dots folder
small heart punch
Silver baker's twine
Expressions natural elements

Timeless Elegance

One of the first things I look for in the new catalogs is stamp sets for sympathy cards since I make quite a few of them.  The Heartfelt Sympathy set is a new one and I have used it on this card with some Garden Green ink.

The designer paper in the background is called Timeless Elegance and is all in Very Vanilla and shades of Black/Gray.  I added some metal rimmed pearls which have a sticky backing on them so they are easy to attach and I cut up some Venetian crochet trim to go behind the sentiment.

I added another piece of dsp and more sentiment to the inside of the card.

Supplies:
Heartfelt Sympathy
Garden Green ink
Very Vanilla, Basic Black card stock
Timeless Elegance dsp
metal rimmed pearls
Venetian crochet trim ribbon
