Brick Thanks

I realized it has been awhile since I pulled out the Brick Wall folder so I thought I would put some cards together using that and a white on white combination.

After I ran the Whisper White through the Big Shot, I colored it with the Wink of Stella glitter brush for a little something different.

Then I just added some linen thread a little banner and my sentiment which is an Expressions Natural Element.  No stamping on this one!

Supplies:
Whisper White, Bermuda Bay card stock
Wink of Stella glitter brush
Banner triple punch
linen thread
Brick Wall folder

Celebrate

This is a card I recently gave a friend, it combines the Pretty Petals and Sweet Li'l Things designer series paper and the Balloon celebration stamp set.

I first stamped the balloons and strings on my Very Vanilla card stock and then on scraps of the same color stamped the balloons again using the three step images.  After that, I punched them out with the Balloon bouquet punch and added them to the card with dimensionals.

I added the Expressions natural element ("celebrate") with the glue pen.

Supplies:
Balloon celebration
Pool Party, Soft Sky, Perfect Plum, Wisteria Wonder, Pear Pizzazz, Wild Wasabi, Basic Black ink
Pear Pizzazz, Very Vanilla card stock

Watercolored Bermuda

While I really love flower images, I don't normally take time to color them in and instead stamp them on colored card stock.  This time I decided to take the time and stamped the Best Thoughts flower on watercolor paper and colored it in with Bermuda Bay.

I added some flecks of color with the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set and then layered it on some Neutrals color collection designer series paper and embossed Brick Wall Soft Suede card stock.

Then, a little linen thread and an Expressions natural element completed the card.

Supplies:
Best Thoughts
Watercolor paper, Soft Suede, Bermuda Bay card stock
Memento black, Bermuda Bay, Soft Suede ink
linen thread
Brick wall folder

Celebrate!

I have a fun little bag to share with you today using the Mini Treat Bag thinlit.  The paper is retired but the rest of the elements are available from the current catalogs.

I cut a piece of glassine paper and embossed it with the Softly Falling folder and then used the Triple banner punch on it.  After attaching it to some white jute ribbon, I added some white cotton ribbon and an antique brad before attaching it to the treat bag.

The, I took a piece of Blackberry Bliss card stock and added an image from the Bohemian borders stamp set and an Expressions natural element to complete the bag.

These are so much fun to put together and are the perfect way to give someone a gift card or some other fun little treat.

I have a piece of glassine paper that is embossed with the Large Polka Dot folder, a die cut from the Project Life cards and labels framelits, an Expressions natural elements item, designer button and some washi tape too.

A closer look at the glassine paper...

Congrats

While the card I have to show you today has several layers and some dimension, it was really a pretty simple one to put together.

First I stamped the image from Summer Silhouettes on the card base and then on the piece of Soft Suede and lined them up.

The butterflies are just punched out and adhered together before I added the linen thread around them.

Supplies:
Summer Silhouettes
Crumb Cake, Soft Suede ink
Pool Party, Lost Lagoon, Soft Suede card stock

For the New Two

Recently, the kids and I went to a wedding and I had made a card using the Timeless Elegance designer series paper and the For the New Two stamp set for the happy couple.  Of course, I didn't remember to take pictures of it while I had my nice lighting in the stamp room...

I did take pictures, which are below (but I apologize for the darker images!) but I also wanted to recreate the card and take a better picture.  The card below was the do over, although it is not exactly the same as the first one...

The second picture and several below it, are the original card.  I also added an image from Summer Silhouettes to the background of both the card and the envelope.

I cut up some Venetian trim ribbon and tied that along with some linen thread in the corner of the sentiment.

Both cards had some metal rimmed pearls on them and on the envelope I added an Expressions natural element and some more designer series paper and linen thread.

So, the original card...

And the do over card...

I chose to use the Elegant Dots folder on the background of the do over card and added a few little different accents.

Supplies:
For the New Two, Summer Silhouettes
Memento Black ink
Very Vanilla, Basic Black, Lost Lagoon card stock
Timeless Elegance designer series paper
Metal rimmed pearls
Elegant Dots folder
small heart punch
Silver baker's twine
Expressions natural elements

Celebrate!

Back to that Brick Wall folder again!  I think it is my favorite new embossing folder in the catalog.  This time I punched out a 2 3/8" scallop circle from the corner of the embossed card stock and added an image behind it from Butterfly Basics.

To add a little extra, I chose to add an Expressions natural element to the top of the card and a designer button to the bottom.

Supplies:
Butterfly Basics
Memento Black ink
Pink Pirouette, Wild Wasabi, Melon Mambo markers
Baked Brown Sugar, Whisper White card stock
2 3/8" scallop circle punch
Banner triple punch
designer buttons
Expressions natural elements
