Communion Cross

This is another card I made for some First Communion participants at my church a little while back.  I wanted to make them fairly simple since they were for boys so I used a Night of Navy background that was embossed with the Softly Falling folder to start with.

Then, I cut out a circle with the Stitched shapes framelits and two crosses with the Cross of Hope framelits.  The background cross is cut from Wood Textures designer series paper and the top one is cut from Gold foil sheets.  My sentiments come from the Inspired Events stamp set.

Supplies:
Inspired Events
Night of Navy ink
Night of Navy, Whisper White, Basic Gray card stock
Gold foil sheets
Wood textures designer series paper
Softly Falling folder
Cross of Hope framelits

Get Well Blends

There was more practice using the Stampin' Blends on these cards that I made recently.  My card stash needed some get well cards and I thought the Get Well Soup stamp set would work well to do some more coloring with the Stampin' Blends as well.

I decided to try out a few different colors on the same style of card and added a few embellishments to the soup bowls using the hearts and stars elements and metallic enamel shapes.

Supplies:
Get Well Soup
Memento Black ink
Stampin' Blends
Night of Navy, Real Red, Bermuda Bay, Whisper White card stock
doilies
Softly falling folder

Night in Bethlehem

The combination of the Bethlehem edgelits dies and the foil sheets is one I really like to play with.  For this card I chose a background of Night of Navy card stock that was embossed with the Softly falling embossing folder.  Next, I cut out my edgelits from some Champagne foil sheets and layered them on the front.

On the inside of the card, I used the Star of Light stamp set and added a sentiment and some background stars.

Supplies:
Star of Light
Crumb Cake, Basic Black ink
Crumb Cake, Night of Navy card stock
Champagne foil sheets
Softly falling folder

This card has been in my stamp a stack collection for a couple months, it uses a piece cut with the Deco labels framelits, although I cut it so that one end was straight instead of curvy.

I chose the Watercolor Words and Project Life Memories in the Making as my stamp sets and also added some texture with the Softly Falling folder on my Real Red background.

Supplies:
Watercolor Words, Project Life Memories in the Making
Real Red, Soft Sky ink
Whisper White, Real Red, Soft Sky card stock
Deco labels framelits
1/8" striped ribbon

Happy Winter

The card I have to share today has a few steps to it, but I promise none of them are difficult!  First, I stamped the tree scene on the two pieces of Very Vanilla card stock and then used the glitter brush to accent the snow.

Next, I ran both pieces through the Big Shot with the Softly Falling folder to emboss them.  After that, I used the Banner triple punch and made my two top pieces and attached them together with snail adhesive.

Then, I just wrapped some linen thread around those and completed the card.

Supplies:
Happy Scenes
Garden Green, Cherry Cobbler ink
Very Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler card stock
Softly Falling folder
Banner triple punch
Linen thread
Wink of Stella glitter brush

Peace on Earth

I just love the Hearth and Home thinlits paired with the Happy Scenes stamp set.  There are just so many possibilities!  For this card, I used a glassine sheet as a "window" and embossed it with the Softly Falling folder before I placed it behind the window frame thinlit.  Then I stamped the image of the evergreen trees on some Whisper White card stock and placed that behind the window.

I chose the Holly Jolly Greetings set to add some snowflakes to the background and for the "on earth"...

"Peace" comes from another thinlit set called Christmas greetings and I used the fine tip glue pen to attach it to the card base.

Finally I added some basic rhinestones and some Winter Wonderland Embellishments to finish it off.

Supplies:
Holly Jolly Greetings, Happy Scenes
Crumb Cake , Island Indigo ink
Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Soft Suede, Island Indigo card stock
Home and Hearth thinlits
Christmas greetings thinlits
glassine sheets
Softly falling folder
Winter wonderland embellishments
basic rhinestones

Celebrate!

I have a fun little bag to share with you today using the Mini Treat Bag thinlit.  The paper is retired but the rest of the elements are available from the current catalogs.

I cut a piece of glassine paper and embossed it with the Softly Falling folder and then used the Triple banner punch on it.  After attaching it to some white jute ribbon, I added some white cotton ribbon and an antique brad before attaching it to the treat bag.

The, I took a piece of Blackberry Bliss card stock and added an image from the Bohemian borders stamp set and an Expressions natural element to complete the bag.

These are so much fun to put together and are the perfect way to give someone a gift card or some other fun little treat.

I used the Heartfelt Sympathy stamp set on some oval framelit cut outs and popped that layer up with dimensionals.
