Peace on Earth

I just love the Hearth and Home thinlits paired with the Happy Scenes stamp set.  There are just so many possibilities!  For this card, I used a glassine sheet as a "window" and embossed it with the Softly Falling folder before I placed it behind the window frame thinlit.  Then I stamped the image of the evergreen trees on some Whisper White card stock and placed that behind the window.

I chose the Holly Jolly Greetings set to add some snowflakes to the background and for the "on earth"...

"Peace" comes from another thinlit set called Christmas greetings and I used the fine tip glue pen to attach it to the card base.

Finally I added some basic rhinestones and some Winter Wonderland Embellishments to finish it off.

Supplies:
Holly Jolly Greetings, Happy Scenes
Crumb Cake , Island Indigo ink
Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Soft Suede, Island Indigo card stock
Home and Hearth thinlits
Christmas greetings thinlits

Softly falling folder
Winter wonderland embellishments
basic rhinestones

A Fish Story

Wyatt always seems to be the one to catch the Big fish each summer in our family.  This year was no exception and the scrapbook page below is our documentation of it for him.

I chose a piece of Farmers Market designer series paper for the background and added a layer of Crumb Cake card stock over the top that was randomly stamped with the By the Tide stamp set.

The title is created with the Layered Letters Alphabet stamp set and I added some little pieces of Corrugated paper with buttons on the side of the page.  The squares were the cutouts left when I used the Hearth and Home thinlits on a card.

I used my circle punches to cut out a picture of the lake water and rocks to add to the layout as well.

Supplies:
Tin of Cards, By the Tide, Layered Letters Alphabet
Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Pear Pizzazz ink
Crumb Cake, Lost Lagoon, Soft Suede card stock
Farmers Market dsp
linen thread
circle punches
Hearth and Home thinlits
Corrugated paper
designer series buttons

Window Scenes

In the Holiday catalog, there is a thinlit set called Hearth and Home and it cuts out this adorable window (there is also another thinlit in the set that cuts out a little window box but I didn't use it on this card).  The first thing I wanted to use it for was a winter scene  and I chose the Project Life Hello December 2015 stamp set to accomplish that.

I added some snowflake and pine tree images to a piece of Pool Party card stock and placed that behind the window cut out and onto a piece of Crumb Cake that was embossed with the Brick Wall folder.

The sentiment is from Peaceful Pines and I added a cute little Winter wonderland embellishment beside it.

Supplies:
Peaceful Pines
Project Life Hello December 2015
Early Espresso, White Craft ink
Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Pool Party card stock
Corrugated Paper
Hearth and Home thinlits
Winter wonderland embellishments
Brick Wall folder
