Thinking of You

I find it so hard to use the Beautiful Gallery designer series paper, not because I don't like the patterns, because I don't want to cut them up. This is a 6" x 6" collection and the patterns are so good!

For these cards, I did cut up the patterns and put them on card stock that was embossed with either the Dashing Designs folder or the Forever Plaid folder. The sentiment is from The Right Words stamp set. I also highlighted the designs with the
Wink of Stella glitter brush.

Supplies:
The Right Words
Pebbled Path ink
Very Vanilla, Cajun Craze, Smoky Slate, Pebbled Path card stock

Today' card stays in theme with the Egg cartons from yesterday - Easter.  I used the same stamp set called Easter Message which is in the Occasions catalog.  I die cut an oval with the Stitched Shapes framelits and stamped the lily image.  It is colored with the Wink of Stella glitter brush and Crushed Curry and Pear Pizzazz markers.

The strip of polka dotted paper is from the Neutrals collection designer series paper stack.

Last week, Stampin' Up! came out with three new options for FREE Sale-a-bration products.  You can see the new options here which include two stamp sets and a glitter paper stack.  I have used one of the stamp sets, called Reverse Words, on the card below.

I stamped the "cheers" on Very Vanilla and just cut it out with my paper snips.  Then I stamped random beer mugs on another piece of Very Vanilla and added some "beer" with Crushed Curry ink and colored the foam with the Wink of Stella glitter brush.

Here for You

Happy Thanksgiving!

The card I am sharing today doesn't have anything to do with Thanksgiving, but here it is anyway....

I started with a sponge brayer and Peekaboo Peach ink on some Whisper White card stock.  Then I added my images and colored in some of the flower.  Next, I added some glitter with the Wink of Stella clear glitter brush on the petals.

A little corrugated paper, linen thread and Serene Scenery designer series paper and the card was compete.

Happy Retirement

Happy Friday!  I thought I would share a retirement card I made recently using the Mixed Drinks stamp set today.  It is really not too complicated but more fun than the picture looks!  Why?  Because you can't really see that the beverage and foam are shimmery from the Wink of Stella glitter brush.

I added some By the Shore designer series paper and used sentiment from both Mixed Drinks and Wild about Flowers.

Supplies:
Wild about Flowers, Mixed Drinks
Basic Black, Dapper Denim, So Saffron, ink
Smoky Slate, Very Vanilla card stock

Shimmery Floral Affection

Today's card is another May 2016 Paper Pumpkin alternative idea.  I have used another of the Happy stickers from that kit.  My Sweet Sugarplum card stock layer has been embossed with of the little embossing folders in the Floral Affection collection and then I used the Wink of Stella glitter brush  to highlight some of the embossing.  That is pretty difficult to see in the pictures, but is much clearer in person.

There is some background stamping using the same color as the card stock and I added a strip of Pop of Pink washi tape.

Somehow the lighting on these three pictures changed a little so it looks like different pieces of card stock, but it is actually the same one - sorry about that!

Supplies:
Number of Years
Basic Black, Sweet Sugarplum ink
Sweet Sugarplum, Whisper White card stock
Wink of Stella glitter brush

Pop of pink washi tape

Brick Thanks

I realized it has been awhile since I pulled out the Brick Wall folder so I thought I would put some cards together using that and a white on white combination.

After I ran the Whisper White through the Big Shot, I colored it with the Wink of Stella glitter brush for a little something different.

Then I just added some linen thread a little banner and my sentiment which is an Expressions Natural Element.  No stamping on this one!

More February Paper Pumpkin Alternatives

Yesterday I shared a scrapbook page alternative for the February Paper Pumpkin kit, and today I have some alternative cards to share with you.

The first one uses a Blush Blossom marker and the Wink of Stella glitter brush.  I used both of those to fill in after I added the gold foil flower sticker.

The next four are just variations on placement of card elements and sayings.

The card bases themselves are just fun to play with since they already have images on them.

And finally, I again used the Wink of Stella glitter brush on the card base, but this time I added a couple strips of designer series paper and a rose cut from the Rose garden thinlits.

The three cards below are created using the instructions from the kit...

There are also matching envelopes for the cards with a design on the front of them!

Thoughts and Prayers

Since I am always in need of thinking of you and sympathy cards, I like to have a variety of them on hand at all times.  This one uses the Perfectly Artistic designer series paper (SAB 2016) and Rose Wonder stamp set.  The background of the designer series paper is slightly variegated and that is easier to see when you are looking at the card and not a picture.

I used the Tags and labels framelits for the sentiment and added some silver baker's twine around the card.

Another thing you cannot see in the picture is that I used the Wink of Stella glitter brush on the rose.

Glitter Brush

I just love this glitter brush because there is no mess!  Usually I stay away from glitter for that reason so it has been really fun to play around with it.

You can find the glitter brushes right here.

Rose Birthday

This is the card we gave my mother-in-law last weekend on her birthday.  I used the Rose Wonder stamp set which coordinates with the Rose Garden thinlit dies to create it.

I glued the rose die to a piece of Pink Pirouette card stock and then cut around it before using my Wink of Stella glitter brush on the whole thing.

I added a couple pieces of ribbon, a retired artisan embellishment and some It's my party dots to finish off the card.

Supplies:
Rose Wonder
Watermelon Wonder, Pool Party ink
Very Vanilla, Pool Party, Pink Pirouette, Wild Wasabi, Watermelon Wonder card stock
Rose garden thinlits
Pool Party glitter ribbon

Happy Birthday Treat Bag

We have a package of some fun specialty paper in the Occasions catalog called Shine On.  It is double sided kraft paper, so thicker than the regular designer series paper, and on one side the pattern has silver foil designs.

I thought it would be nice to use it to make some Mini Treat Bags because of the weight of the paper.

I added some neutral designer sequins and a few leftover Paper Pumpkin pieces from my stash as well.  The banner piece in the back is one of the Paper Pumpkin pieces and I ran over the whole piece with the glitter brush for a little more shine.

Supplies:
Perfect Pairings (SAB 2016)
Basic Black ink
Whisper White
Shine on specialty paper
Mini Treat Bag thinlit
Neutrals designer sequins

Happy Winter

The card I have to share today has a few steps to it, but I promise none of them are difficult!  First, I stamped the tree scene on the two pieces of Very Vanilla card stock and then used the glitter brush to accent the snow.

Next, I ran both pieces through the Big Shot with the Softly Falling folder to emboss them.  After that, I used the Banner triple punch and made my two top pieces and attached them together with snail adhesive.

Then, I just wrapped some linen thread around those and completed the card.

Supplies:
Happy Scenes
Garden Green, Cherry Cobbler ink
Very Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler card stock
Softly Falling folder

Linen thread

Thinking of You

In the Meadow is one of my favorite new stamp sets in the Occasions catalog because it can be used for several different occasions - masculine cards, thinking of you, sympathy, etc.

This card is really very simple and I love simple cards too!  I used only Crumb Cake card stock and Soft Suede ink.  Over the mountains I also added some glitter with the Wink of Stella glitter brush although it is difficult to see on the pictures.
