Thoughts and Prayers

I put together some sympathy cards recently using some stamp sets that I don't want to part with along with some current catalog items.   The retired items are the In the Meadow and Wishing You Well stamp sets, two of which I plan to hang on to for awhile...

I also used the background image from Love What You Do and some Woven Threads designer series paper to complete the cards.  While you can't see a lot of the patterns from the designer series paper I still like the way it adds to the card.

Supplies:
In the Meadow, Wishing you Well, Love What You Do
Balmy Blue, Soft Suede ink
Very Vanilla, Balmy Blue card stock
Woven Threads dsp

No Sentiments

There are times when I just leave the sentiments off a card and this card is an example of that.  I have again used a retired Project Life card as my stamping piece and added some Crumb Cake card stock that was embossed with the hexagons dynamic folder.

Behind the stamped layer I added a piece of Bermuda Bay card stock and some Old Olive cotton ribbon.

Supplies:
In The Meadow
Old Olive, Soft Suede markers
Very Vanilla, Bermuda Bay, Crumb Cake card stock
Project Life collection
Old Olive cotton ribbon
Hexagons dynamic folder

October Stamp Club Projects

Another month is here again already!  This time I have a varying theme going on with the projects we are creating.

The first card uses the In the Meadow and Tin of Cards stamp sets, some sponges and a mask.

For the second card, I chose the Cable knit folder and Starlight thinlits along with the Bermuda Bay ombre Stampin' ink pad.

And finally, the layout uses the Halloween Night specialty designer series paper along with the Banner triple punch.

Printer's Tray

As part of my dad's birthday gift a week or so ago, I made this printer's tray for him with a photo I took of him and three of his grandchildren last summer at the lake.

I seem to get the best pictures of dad and the kids at the lake so it just seemed like a good photo to use even though there are three of the grandkids missing from this one.

I used some English Garden designer series paper, corrugated paper and Lost Lagoon, Night of Navy, Old Olive and Tip Top Taupe card stock.

For stamp sets, I chose the Going Global, In the Meadow and All about Everything sets.  All about everything is the one we received as a bonus in the last Paper Pumpkin subscription.

I added some enamel dots and buttons for accents as well.

Supplies:
Going Global, In the Meadow, All about Everything
Night of Navy, Old Olive ink
Lost Lagoon, Tip Top Taupe, Old Olive, Night of Navy card stock
corrugated paper
English garden dsp
enamel dots
circle punches
linen thread
designer buttons

In the Meadow

If you are in need of a sympathy card and don't have one ready to go, this is a quick one to put together.  It uses the In the Meadow stamp set for the background and the Rose Wonder set for the sentiments.

It would be easy to dress it up a bit too maybe by using a lighter background and coloring in the trees and flowers...

Supplies:
Rose Wonder, In the Meadow
Soft Suede, Early Espresso ink
Mossy Meadow, Hello Honey and Very Vanilla card stock

Thinking of You

In the Meadow is one of my favorite new stamp sets in the Occasions catalog because it can be used for several different occasions - masculine cards, thinking of you, sympathy, etc.

This card is really very simple and I love simple cards too!  I used only Crumb Cake card stock and Soft Suede ink.  Over the mountains I also added some glitter with the Wink of Stella glitter brush although it is difficult to see on the pictures.
