Hammered Textures

The harvest season has had another setback unfortunately - this time in the form of a blizzard that dropped around 18" of heavy snow.  We still have about a third of our potato crop in the field as well as all of our soybeans so if we can get back into the fields it is going to be another long fall...

I would love to say that the setback gives me a lot more time in the stamp room, but that isn't the case - always so many other things that need to be done, but hopefully I can give you a few more project ideas...

This card is a result of playing around with some different textures and colors...I started with the Tasteful Textures stamp set and used Granny Apple Green ink on a Whisper White card stock base.

Then, I embossed some Granny Apple Green card stock with the Hammered Metal folder and punched out a 2" circle.  The layer under the circle is a piece of Noble Peacock specialty designer series paper and my sentiment layer is die cut with the Stitched labels collection.

Supplies:
Tasteful Textures, Love What You Do
Blueberry Bushel, Granny Apple Green ink
Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Granny Apple Green card stock
Noble Peacock specialty dsp
2" circle punch
Hammered Metal folder
Stitched Labels framelits

More Alternative Cards for August

Here are a few more card ideas using the August Paper Pumpkin kit - next time I will share a scrapbooking layout as well.

I have added Whisper White card bases and strips of Merry Merlot or Mossy Meadow card stock on each of these in addition to the kit items.  The sentiments also come from different stamp sets.

The sentiment on the card above is from the Love What You Do stamp set and it is stamped on a die cut from the Stitched Nested Labels collection...

The sentiment on the final two cards is from the Painted Harvest stamp set.

Thoughts and Prayers

I put together some sympathy cards recently using some stamp sets that I don't want to part with along with some current catalog items.   The retired items are the In the Meadow and Wishing You Well stamp sets, two of which I plan to hang on to for awhile...

I also used the background image from Love What You Do and some Woven Threads designer series paper to complete the cards.  While you can't see a lot of the patterns from the designer series paper I still like the way it adds to the card.

April Stamp Club Projects

This month we used the Broadway  Bound specialty paper as the focus for our 12 x 12 double layout.

We also added some Sale-a-bration Lovely Lipstick foil paper to one side along with coordinating card stock colors - Lemon Lime Twist, Gray Granite, Lovely Lipstick and Basic Black.

The first card uses the Gingham gala designer series paper in coordination with the Dandelion Wishes and Love What You Do stamp sets.  The ink colors used were Basic Gray and Balmy Blue.

Lastly we did a little different style or card.  The base of Merry Merlot is 5 1/2" x 4" and the piece on the front is 3 3/4" x 3 3/4".  We used the Needle and Thread stamp set along with Merry Merlot, Early Espresso and Mossy Meadow ink.

If you think these look fun and want to try out our club as a member or guest, you can get more details about both the monthly club and virtual club right here!

Doily Thank You

In keeping with the theme of the last several days, here are a few more cards made with the Graceful Glass designer vellum and Stampin' Blends markers.

The pattern on this sheet of vellum was also very easy to cut down since it had 6" long panels, I did have to waste part of the ends this way since the cards are 4 1/4" x 5 1/2".

For accents I added some delicate white doilies and the sentiment is from the Love What You Do stamp set.

Stitched Thank You

The background on this card started out the same as one of my monthly stamp club project cards with the Time for Tea stamp set and some Old Olive ink. Next came some usage of scraps that were in my scrap bin...

The die cuts are cut using the Stitched Shapes and Stitched Seasons framelits and the designer series paper is from the Share What You Love collection.  I added a few metallic pearls for accents on the sentiment layer.

Life is Sweeter

There are so many cute cards floating around with watercolored backgrounds these days!  For this card I chose to use the background stamp from Love What You Do for a watercolored look and layered several items over the top.

The first layer is a die cut from the Stitched Seasons framelits collection which will be available to customers August 1st.  Then, I added some linen thread and a piece of the Delightfully Detailed Laser cut specialty paper and finally the sentiment. A few Artisan pearls for color and texture and the card is complete.

Petal Pink, Night of Navy, Merry Merlot ink

May Stamp Club Projects

I probably should be sharing these projects individually this month instead of all together if I want to keep my blog posts going...we are busy planting wheat and soybeans right now as we also ship seed potatoes and haul in the seed potatoes that we will start planting on Monday.  Crazy time of year for us and then we add in the boys playing spring baseball....! So if the blog goes silent for a few days or a day here and there, you will know why.

This month, I chose to use some sneak peek items and some that are retiring.  For the first card, I chose a Hostess stamp set that is in the Occasions catalog called Yay you and paired it with returning color Mint Macaron and new In Color Grapefruit Grove.

The second card pairs the Share What You Love designer series paper with some Wood Textures designer series paper and the Love What You Do stamp set.

Finally, the layout uses some Pick a Pattern designer series paper and one of my favorite embellishments, glitter enamel dots.  We will have more fun embellishments coming out soon and I can't wait to play with all of them!

Some of the retiring products have been discounted - YEAH.  You can still get items while they last...

Supplies:

What You Love

Since I shared the preview product bundles you can purchase early from the upcoming new catalog yesterday, I thought I would share a few samples I have made using those products in the next few days.

These cards use the stamp set called Love what you do and the Share What You love designer series paper.  I added some Share What You Love artisan pearls and linen thread as well.

I really love this designer series paper - some of the patterns have embossing on them and some do not, but all of the papers are beautiful!  If you want to get some of the early release products, just go here to get started!
