April Stamp Club Projects

It is time to share my monthly stamp club projects once again.  Since we are still impatiently awaiting spring I tried to incorporate some spring things into the projects this month!  

The first card uses Watercolor Wash as a background for the Butterfly Basics images that are popped up on the die cut circle.

For the second card, I chose Painted Harvest and several colors of green for the leaves also incorporating the leaf and classic label punches.

Finally for the layout, I used some Naturally Eclectic designer series paper scallop circle punches - this theme isn't necessarily spring, but the colors are bright and cheerful!

April Stamp Club Projects

I wanted to go with a spring theme somewhat this month with my projects.  For that purpose, I chose the Helping me Grow stamp set for one of the cards and also on the layout. 

 

On the first card, I also used the Watercolor Wash and Gorgeous Grunge stamp sets and several of the In colors that will be retiring soon.

 

After I made this one, I decided to change the ink color for the background from Pear Pizzazz (on the above card) to Soft Sky.  It looks much better although I didn't take a picture of that one. 

 

I went with one of my favorite designer series papers on the second card - Timeless Elegance and used a stamp from a retired hostess set for the sentiment.

Watercolor Birthday

 

I went into the scrap and leftover bin for most of this card using a background that I had already embossed and another background that I had already stamped.

 

I used a portion of the Watercolor Wash image behind the flower image and then when I went to add the sentiment I decided to add some color to that as well, using an image from For All Things and stamping it over and over again...

Winter Wishes

 

The images in the Winter Wishes stamp set (Holiday catalog page 13) are just awesome ones in my opinion.  I will definitely be using them on some scrapbook pages as well as some cards for winter things.  

 

On this card, I paired the stamp set with some Winter Wonderland designer vellum and a Metallic foil doily.  When I stamped my sentiment, I used a piece leftover card stock from another project that I had used with the background stamp Watercolor Wash.

Collect Moments

 

When I began working on this page, I envisioned a background looking like water...I am not entirely convinced I achieved that, but I still am happy with the way it turned out.

 

For the background I used the Watercolor Wash stamp set and used Lost Lagoon, Soft Sky and Pool Party inks randomly.  Then I added some images from Work of Art with Bermuda Bay ink and some sequins.

 

The elements on the page all come from the Let's Get Away Project Life card collection and accessory kit.  Behind the card that has the title, I added a piece of Calypso Coral that was embossed with the Large Polka Dots folder.

 

I added a brights designer button as an accent as well...

You're Great

 

Another example of how I sit down to create when I don't get much time in the stamp room - more scraps of Farmers Market designer series paper...well, they were sitting on top of the scrap pile so they ended up there.  Maybe I need a better system!

 

I added part of the Watercolor Wash image behind some layers that was stamped with So Saffron ink..

 

Both ends of the layer with the 5/8" satin ribbon were punched with the Ornate tag topper punch and then I added some white perfect accents and neutrals sequins.

Little Moments

 

After playing around with the Watercolor Wings stamp set, I think I may "need" to get the Bold Butterflies framelits too since I really don't like cutting out images! 

 



 

I layered two butterflies over the Watercolor Wash stamped image.  You can see I decided to break up that image with a few of the other ones in the Watercolor Wings set as well. 

 

 

For the sentiment I just shortened the Decorative Label punch by cutting off one side.
