Love You Canvas

As I prepare for a class I am teaching at a retreat next month, I am making a few samples for the class participants to view before they make their own.  I shared this one awhile ago and today I have another idea to share.

For this canvas, I started with a black background and rubbed some Craft white ink around it.  Then, I stamped an image from Chalk Lines a couple times and then started adding the elements.

I chose some corrugated paper (both the white and craft colors), some sequins, twine and wooden hearts from a past Paper Pumpkin kit and a title from the Friendly Wishes stamp set.

I also cut up a Polka Dot bag and used it behind my matted picture.

Supplies:
Friendly Wishes, Chalk Lines
Craft White and Memento Black ink
Basic Black, Tempting Turquoise card stock
Corrugated paper
past Paper Pumpkin elements
Triple Banner punch
Tea lace paper doilies
Polka Dot bags
In color blossom accents 2015-2017

Moments Like These

Every once in awhile I have a few extra minutes to put together a scrapbook page (and I am SO FAR behind I need lots of extra minutes!!).  This picture probably isn't the oldest one that needs to be added to a page, but it is the one I picked to use anyway.

I chose to add some background stamping with the Chalk Lines and Dotty Angles stamp sets using Island Indigo ink on Cajun Craze card stock.

Then, I used the Happy Times Project Life collection card and accessory packs to complete the rest.  Don't you love those little epoxy circles?

I added a little Venetian lace and a vintage trinket to complete the page.

Supplies:
Dotty Angles, Chalk Lines
Island Indigo Ink
Cajun Craze, Soft Suede card stock
Happy Times Card Collection and Accessory pack
Venetian trim ribbon
vintage trinket

Thanks so Much!

While I don't enjoy cutting out images too much, I did cut out these three flowers that were stamped from the Everything Eleanor stamp set.  They are layered onto a piece of Crumb Cake that has some images from Chalk Lines stamped to form a frame.

The sentiment is from a past Paper Pumpkin kit and I added some thick baker's twine from Sale-a-bration and a layer of Mint Macaron that was embossed with the Boho Chic folder.

I like this color combination and will probably use it again soon!  Lost Lagoon, Mint Macaron, Crumb Cake and Whisper White...

Supplies:
Everything Eleanor, Chalk Lines, Paper Pumpkin
Mint Macaron, Lost Lagoon, Crumb Cake, Whisper White card stock
Crumb Cake, Lost Lagoon ink
triple banner punch
thick bakers twine
paper snips
Boho Chic folder

Thinking of You

I wanted to get away from lots of colors and patterns when I put these cards together and kind of just went for simple and natural.  The background stamped image comes from Chalk Lines and I stamped Crumb Cake ink on Crumb Cake card stock.

I stamped the Chalk Lines image first on the Very Vanilla card base and then on the Crumb Cake layer before I put the two together.

The sentiment and background images are from Wetlands and are also stamped in Crumb Cake ink.

Congrats!

Today's card share uses the Chalk Lines stamp set again along with Bravo.  By creating this card, I learned something good to know about the chalk inks and am happy to share (maybe you already knew!!).  The black layer is Basic Black card stock and not the chalkboard paper, I found that the chalk inks do not stamp well on Basic Black even when they are freshly inked up.  So I went with the Craft White ink as a backup.

Supplies:
Bravo, Chalk Lines
White craft ink
Basic Black, Wild Wasabi card stock
Tea Lace Paper Doilies

Chalk Lines and Mother's Love

You may have noticed I missed posting yesterday, this is the busy shipping and planting potatoes time of the year for me and I won't always keep up with my blog.  So if you don't see a post, don't worry, I will be back as soon as I am able!!

I have another sympathy card to share today, it is pretty simple but uses three different stamp sets.  The sentiment is from the retired God's Blessings (one I will never get rid of!!).

I used a border stamp from Chalk lines and some flowers from Mother's Love.

Supplies:
God's Blessings
Mother's Love
Chalk Lines
Very Vanilla, Tempting Turquoise card stock
Tempting Turquoise, Hello Honey and Pistachio Pudding ink
