Mother's Day Card

While Mother's Day has already passed I thought I would still share this card with you since you could easily add a different sentiment to the middle of it.

I used a strip of the Sale-a-bration designer series paper called Wildflower Fields and the stamp set from the April 2016 Paper Pumpkin set.

For accents I added some basic rhinestones and a tea lace paper doily.

Supplies:
April 2016 Paper Pumpkin
Lost Lagoon ink
Crum Cake, Basic Black, Lost Lagoon card stock
tea lace paper doilies
decorative label punch
basic rhinestones
SAB 2016 Wildflower fields dsp

The sentiment comes from Suite Sayings and I punched it out with the Note Tag punch.

Party Wishes

For this card, I chose to use some Kraft card stock as my base.  It also opens up rather than to the side as most of my  cards do.  The layout is quite simple, using some Perfectly Artistic (SAB 2016) designer series paper and a Tea lace paper doily as my background.

I also added a strip of Glitter tape (SAB 2016) to the designer series paper, it doesn't look too shiny on the picture but in person it looks much more fun!

Supplies:
Party Wishes
Bermuda Bay ink
Bermuda Bay, Whisper White, Kraft card stock

Let's Have Coffee

One of my favorite stamp sets in the Occasions catalog is the Timeless Textures and I just love the coffee stain image that I used in the card below.

After I stamped the background with that image, I added some Have a Cuppa designer series paper pattern and some Lost Lagoon card stock that I stamped using the Balloon Celebration stamp set.

The coffee cup is cut out with the Big Shot using the Cups and Kettle framelits and I finished the card off with some washi tape, linen thread, It's my party enamel dots and part of a Tea lace paper doily.

Hello My Friend

I used this little note card holder as a door prize for my last Stamp A Stack, it is big enough to hold more than 8 note cards and envelopes...

I used the Wildflower Fields designer series paper and Hello stamp set which are both Sale-a-bration FREE items along with some Cherry Cobbler, Lost Lagoon and Pink Pirouette card stock.

To close the little folder, I added two antique brads and some bakers twine, tying the twine around one brad and wrapping it around the other.

My note cards were 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" and I stamped the images below using the Number of Years stamp set.

Supplies:
Number of Years, Hello (SAB 2016)
Pink Pirouette, Pear Pizzazz, Lost Lagoon, Cherry Cobbler ink
Pink Pirouette, Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, Lost Lagoon card stock

In my Thoughts

The first thing that drew me to the Snuggles and Smooches stamp set was the circular images.  We used them on one of our stamp club cards last month (see here) and I used parts of them on the card below as well.

I chose a strip of Schoolhouse designer series paper for the card and put part of a Tea lace paper doily behind it.  Then I added a couple strips of washi tape and my circles.

The 2 1/2" circle is punched from white corrugated paper and the 2" circle from Crumb Cake.  The stamp set I used for the sentiment is from the Watercolor Wishes card kit.

Supplies:
Watercolor Wishes card kit, Snuggles and Smooches
Tip Top Taupe, Pool Party ink
Schoolhouse dsp
Whisper White, Crumb Cake card stock
Corrugated paper
washi tape
Tea lace paper doilies
2" and 2 1/2" circle punches

Gratitude Sign

It is always fun for me to figure out a different ways to use the Project Life card collections.  I love them for fun scrapbook pages, either traditional or using the Project Life pocket pages, cards and today for some wall décor!

This was another find at a craft store that I decided to alter.  The twine that is used for hanging the piece was actually attached so it would hang the opposite way, but I just cut it off and stapled it to a different side on the back so that it could hang the long way.

I added a piece of Into the Woods designer series paper behind the Project Life cards and threw in part of a Tea Lace paper doily and some linen thread and bakers twine.

The wooden accents are also in the Seasonal Snapshot Project Life 20015 kit (Accessory pack) and I added them to the project with dimensionals.

A Special Day

I needed an anniversary card recently and decided to use the For the New Two stamp set and paired it with a few items from the Watercolor Wishes card kit and some Metallic and Paper Tea Lace doilies.

The striped layer is part of a card base that I cut down from the Watercolor Wishes card kit as are the two wooden heart elements.  I really like the For the New Two stamp set and use it quite a bit!

Decorative Notepads

Quite awhile ago while I was in an office supply store I bought a pack of 8 1/2" x 11" note pads and had them cut into three pieces.  I have used a few since then, but I have quite a pile of them left and figured I better start using them up!

The holder for these note pads is 12" x 6 1/2" and is scored at 3 1/8" from both sides.  I added some Neutrals color collection designer series paper and layered some Boho Chic embossed card stock before I added my sentiment from Just Kidding that was cut out with the Labels collection framelits.

On the inside I added another strip of designer series paper...

For the second one, I used some Sale-a-bration leftovers along with the Everything Eleanor stamp set.

I have a layer embossed with the same impressions folder on this one as well as a tea lace paper doily.

These are fun little items to put together and don't take a lot of time.

Memorable Moments, Just Kidding, Everything Eleanor

Bridal Shower Decorations

Now that the bridal shower I was asked to make decorations for is over, I can share some pictures with you. Ok well, a lot of pictures actually!

I started with some mason jars that I painted with gray and yellow acrylic paint.  Next I added some White Jute ribbon around them and placed a Tea Lace Paper doily under a tissue paper flower.

The flowers are all layers of tissue paper that have been cut out with the Big Shot and the Circles framelits.  I did not have access to the Cotton paper that is in the new catalog at the time I made these or I would have tried that instead of the tissue paper.  I imagine the end result would have been pretty close to the same thing.

There are little tags hooked onto the kabob sticks that hold the flowers and each are stamped with a sentiment from the For the New Two stamp set.  The tags were created using the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch.

A side view of the painted jar...

I thought there should be something placed under the jars so I created a mat using different shades of yellow and gray and different embossing folders.  The pieces are attached to a piece of Whisper White card stock.

A table frame for the engagement photo had the same type of background as I used on the mats.

I had lots and lots of extra flowers so that they could be placed on the tables around the centerpieces to add more decoration and color.

For the banner, I used the Chalkboard Banner Simply Created Kit and cut the letters using a retired die called Serif Alphabet.

Each end had a tissue paper flower attached.

The chalkboard banner pieces were stamped with flower images from Mother's Love using white craft ink and yellow chalk ink. I added a few large rhinestones to some of the flowers as well.

It was a fun project to put together and since I did not attend the shower, I just set things up for pictures at home and it doesn't give the same effect as if it was set up for the shower.

Happy 14th!

Recently my son went to a friend's birthday party and this is the card I put together for him to use.  I cut the "happy" out with the Hello you thinlits and the Project Life card collection from Sale-a-bration.  That is also used for the background on the card.

The stamping was done with the Memorable Moments stamp set and I cut out the label with the labels collection framelits.

Supplies:
Memorable Moments
Blackberry Bliss, Tangerine Tango ink
Whisper White, Coastal Cabana card stock
Labels collection framelits
